A reminder from Saturday’s posting, “Darah diperlukan sempena Cuti Hari Raya Aidil Fitri“.
The National Blood Bank (NBB) on Friday contacted Dr. Mohamed Halim Abu Bakar, the co-ordinator Pra-Ramadhan Blood Donation Campaign, co-organised by ANSARA-Utusan Malaysia, which was carried out in several cities all over Malaysia 7-9 September. This time, NBB asked ANSARA to help out organize another blood donation campaign, in anticipation of the upcoming long weekend Hari Raya Aidil Fitri holidays.
Even though the early September campaign managed to collect 2,200 pints of blood nationwide, The National Blood Bank currently is low on blood storage. Therefore, NBB is asking ANSARA to help organize another campaign.
This campaign will be carried out on the grounds of Masjid Jame Kampung Baru, Kuala Lumpur on Monday, 8 October 2007, beginning 7.30 pm (after Maghrib prayers).
All are welcome.
Preservation of life, regardless race, religion or creed, is the current flavour of the week in local medias, especially after Tee Hui Yee’s heart and lung transplant which managed to garner so much attention from all walks of life amongst Malaysians.
