60 years remembering Nakba, Palestine
The Day of the Catastrophe of Nakba is the annual day of honour by the Palestinian people which marks the beginning of the 1948 Palestinian exodus and the loss of land that let to the creation of Israel.
The exodus saw more than 60 percent of the total Palestinian population expelled while more than 530 Palestinian villages were depopulated and completely destroyed. To date, Israel has prevented the return of approximately six million Palestinian refugees.
The International Movement for a Just World and Peace Malaysia will be organizing a public forum to commemorate the 60th anniversary of Nakba.
