Former Prime Minister Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad reacted to the issue of his allowance accorded to him in a privilege as the Petronas Adviser, as per raised by PKR MP for Kulim-Bandar Baru Zulkifli Nordin in Dewan Rakyat, as per reported by alternative media this morning.
He explained that he would have given service to the organisations that he still serve, like Proton, LADA and Tioman Development Authority even when there are no emoluments paid to him in any form aka pro-bono, what so ever.
By convention of regular commercial practices, even globally, the former Prime Minister ought to be given a “Golden Handshake” to recognize the contributions and illustrious service that he had given for this tanahair, as an office bearer.
The norm is that one be given at least the last drawn salaries and allowances, one month for every completed year of service.
That is RM 22,826.65 (PM’s salary) + RM 14,907.20 (Minister’s salary) + RM 6,508.59 (MP’s salary), which comes about to RM 44, 242.44 per month for every year’s service (based on current emoluments received). For the 29 years he served as Minister of Education, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Trade and Industry, Prime Minister, Minister of Home Affairs and Minister of Finance, he should be given a RM 1.283 million in one bullet payment as “golden handshake”, as practiced by many organisations in the world, in recognition of the illustrious service rendered.
If housing, entertainment and personal allowances, as per enjoyed by the serving office bearers are factored in, then the sum should be more. That is the least this nation could do for the Statesman.

Why am I getting “muak” already with the “issues” being talked about by pakatan. Is in pakatan’s eyes, TDM is a bigger threat then badawi? Or is Badawi part of their “pakatan” and that is why they are more interested in shooting TDM more then Badawi?
I think this is the Anwar Ibrahim factor thingy. The hatred for Tun Dr. Mahathir is Anwar’s supporters not thinking straight i.e. differentiation what are the real issues that need to be addressed, now, for the future or what happened in the past and they have not got their ‘revenge’ fulfilled yet

anyway, RM15K for an ex PM of his calibre is waaaaayyy too low.
That is one month’s pay, for every completed year of service. So that is why I put that as per annum.
Should also consider other allowance that the Executive enjoy which non-salary

Syabas atas analisis mudah tersebut yg mana kerajaan sendiri tidak terfikir langsung. Jelas menunjukkan betapa rendahnya mentaliti dan harga diri para pembesar negara kini.
YB Tun Dr Mahathir adalah negarawan hebat. Seorang insan yg berhati mulia dan berjiwa besar dalam memartabatkan bangsa dan negara. Pemikiran beliau melangkaui zaman malah tak tercapai dek akal para mediocre di seputar Abdullah Ahmad Badawi. Perbandingan antara keduanya bagai langit dan lurah!
Ironinya Abdullah Ahmad Badawi sendiri telah meng’ibliskan’ beliau malah juak-juak mereka turut me’monyetkan’ negarawan disegani kawan dan lawan ini. Budi dan jasa Tun Dr Mahathir bagai bintang di langit. Beliau telah merobah belenggu ‘tidak boleh’ kepada Malaysia Boleh. Kata-kata keramat yg hingga kini turut membakar para atlit, profesional, teknokrat, usahawan dan para pelajar di setiap pelosok negara.
Dunia hari ini memerlukan seorang pemimpin yang ‘action oriented’ bukannya yg menyalak saban waktu dengan slogan penuh retorik. Lihat hari ini, selepas PU12 ini siapakah lagi yg berani melaungkan ‘Islam Hadhari’, ‘Modal Insan’, ‘Bioteknologi’ dll yang tak berbekas biarpun setelah lebih 4 tahun. Waima Abdullah Ahmad Badawi sendiri tak bisa lagi melengkingkan lontaran suara menyalak slogan-slogan tersebut.
Abdullah Ahmad Badawi ternyata GAGAL. Beliau langsung tak upaya menterjemahkan hasrat Rakyat. Malah lebih buruk lagi isyarat jelas PU12 pun masih tidak difahami dan dirungkaikan demi kelangsungan Malaysia yang tercinta. Kebobrokan demi kejelikan terpapar dan terpampang di media blog yang sama sekali tak upaya disanggah. Persoalan seperti yg dinyatakan di bawah tak pernah disangkal mahupun dijawab oleh beliau sendiri mahupun gurkha Tingkat 4.
1. Oil for food scandals yg terpampang nama beliau sebagai salah seorang berkepentingan.
2. Avenue Capital dan ECM Libra. Siapa telan siapa?
3. Scomi sapu kontrak besar dalam negara sedangkan Badawi kata anak beliau tak terlibat (wawancara bersama Anuar Zaini).
4. Mengarahkan Azmi Khalid ke China memohon maaf kes wanita ketuk ketampi bogel walhal mangsa adalah wanita Melayu rakyat Malaysia. Apa punya aib!
5. Membeli pesawat eksekutif baru lebih RM200 juta sebaik menjawat PM sedangkan pesawat sedia ada masih baik. Dalam masa yg sama suruh Rakyat berjimat cermat. Apa punya bangsat Dolah ini!
6. Mengubahsuai kediaman PM sebaik menjawat PM mencecah RM17 juta. Bagaikan kami rakyat tak tahu yg beliau tak hingin mangkuk tandas bekas Tun. Apa punya bangsat Dolah ini! Lepas tu bila barang naik suruh Rakyat berjimat cermat.
7. Berpesta sakan di Seri Perdana bersama para artis dan elitis dengan iringan muzik jazz yg diimport khas sempena Soiree Merdeka 50 tahun. Berpeluk dengan para artis (Datuk Michelle). Gamabar tersebut tersebar luas ke pelosok kampung sampai ke felda. Tak berani Dolah nak sanggah. Buat derk aje. Kemudian suruh Rakyat berjimat cermat. Apa punya bangsat Dolah ini!
8. Kes raba bahu Michelle masa Monsoon Cup dulu. gambar tu tersebar luas seantero dunia. Kenapa tak nafi kalau tak buat.
9. Pegang jawatan kabinet sampai 3 sebelum PU12 yg lalu. Makan gaji buta apa. Jadi menteri keselamatan dalam negeri tapi indeks jenayah meningkat. Tak malu ke? 2 kanak-kanak yg hilang penjenayah tersebut tak dapat ditangkap sampai sekarang.
10. Pegang jawatan Menteri Kewangan tapi langsung tak reti ekonomi dan hal ehwal kewangan. Cakap punberulang-ulang tak tentu hujung pangkal semantik dan sintaksisnya.
11, 12, 13, … 1001 akan dikupas akan datang. Jenuh weh mamat sorang ni.
Mahathir should be in Jail where he can shake all he wants and where he wants.

Itu Melayu ke Mamak?
Definately, we the raayat feel very said and betrayed by what being done by abdullah Badawi and the gangs.If the facts are true, believed me,he will never die in peace. Maybe he can sleep in peace.Infact, i knew Abdullah Badawi personally when he is out of government before. but now knowing the way he manage the country, i lost my respect towards him. Please forgive me Abdullah badawi for not respecting u anymore. We can also look at leaders in Negeri Sembilan, Melaka and Johor and other states under BN. Many hanky panky happened but nobody complain. As if these leaders managing the states like their personal property.What can we do, they are PM cronnies.
As a leader you have YOUR style of governing a country . Dr Mahathir had his style . We were happy and he led us thro a crisis by pegging the dollar . I have travelled overseas and many a time I have been proud to be associated with being MALAYSIAN – DR MAHATHIR ?
