Satira mantan Menteri KEPUNDEK

Pada awal minggu lepas, semasa sedang minum pagi bersama sahabat lama teman dari Selatan Tanah Air, beliau memberikan satu teka teki pada teman. Bunyinya :-

Yeop, dimanakah terletaknya kekuatan UniKL?

Melihat teman seperti beruk pening tengah menggoyang dahan pokok, sahabat teman memberikan jawapannya.

Kampus baru Universiti Kuala Lumpur (UniKL), sebuah institusi milik Majlis Amanah Rakyat (MARA) kini sedang giat dibangunkan di Pasir Gudang, Johor.

Cadangan PAS sertai BN: DAP gentar Melayu bersatu

bn-logo

MP Jerlun YB Dato’ Mukhriz Mahathir pernah mencadangkan agar PAS kembali balik kedalam Barisan Nasional (BN), sebagaimana semasa BN ditubuhkan mengantikan Perikatan pada 1973, sebagai susulan menyahut agenda pembangunan negara berteraskan Dasar Ekonomi Baru (DEB) bawah Kepimpinan ketika itu ialah Bapa Pembangunan Malaysia PM Tun Abdul Razak Hussein.

Laporan Utusan Malaysia:

Mukhriz saran Pas Perak sertai BN

09/02/2009 4:16pm

KUALA LUMPUR 9 Feb.

Cadangan calon Ketua Pemuda popular ini disahut Presiden PAS Dato’ Seri Hj Hadi Awang semasa pembahasan titah ucapan DYMM Seri Paduka Baginda Yang DiPertuan Agong minggu lepas.

Laporan NST:

2009/03/09

ZUBAIDAH ABU BAKAR
Is unity govt the way forward?

THE political “tsunami” is still making waves, albeit on a smaller scale, and the cry for reform continues to be heard at the same decibel level as a year ago.

With a looming economic crisis and increasing unemployment, it appears that a full recovery from the March 8, 2008 general election could take some time.

Given the current environment, a call by the president of Pas recently for a unity government to put aside political differences and tackle the ailing economy should not come as a surprise.

Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang thinks a more stable arrangement than the ruling Barisan Nasional is needed to run the country.

Eyebrows were raised, including those in his own party. Its leaders have until now refrained from making any comment on Hadi’s proposal because they need an explanation from the man himself.

Hadi came back from an overseas trip on Saturday and chaired the party’s central committee meeting yesterday, during which he was to explain the kind of unity government he had proposed during an interview with an online news portal and the Pas-linked tabloid Siasah about a fortnight ago.

Hadi has been toying with the idea for some time as he is convinced that a unity government is the answer to what he considers the country’s myriad problems.

Unhappiness with the BN government for its unfulfilled pledges to curb corruption and cronyism and its seeming inability to resolve racial and religious grievances — complaints that caused a swing in support to the opposition — is still running high.

A close aide of Hadi’s said the Pas leader had wanted to raise the unity government idea when debating the Royal Address in Parliament.

He had spoken for about 50 minutes and amid constant breaks in the flow of his delivery, time became a constraint and the idea was not properly expressed.

It is said that behind closed doors, some Pas and Umno leaders, concerned with the political and economic uncertainties, admitted that a unity government could be what Malaysia needs.

After all, it was noted, the burying of the hatchet between the alliance and opposition parties had led to the birth of BN in 1973, although Pas left the new coalition later.

******************

Laporan The Sun:

DAP says no to unity govt with BN
Opalyn Mok

GEORGE TOWN (March 13, 2009): The DAP has distanced itself from a statement by its coalition partner PAS that a national unity government between all parties be formed to end the endless cycle of politicking in the country since the last general election.

DAP secretary general Lim Guan Eng, responding to the statement by PAS president Datuk Seri Hadi Awang, said the DAP is not interested in forming a unity government with the Barisan Nasional but is willing to “coopeate” with the ruling administration to revive the economy.

Lim, who is also Penang Chief Minister, however hopes Abdul Hadi can clarify his statement to the Pakatan Rakyat supreme council.

“We don’t know what he meant and it’s better if we hear it straight from him, because what is reported by the media may not be accurate,” he told reporters at his office today.

***************************

Tindakan Setiausaha Agung DAP, Lim Guan Eng supaya Pas memberi penjelasan jelas menunjukkan Ketua Menteri Pulau Pinang itu ingin memecahbelahkan rakyat melalui permainan politik.

“Soalnya, kenapa DAP mempertikaikan penyatuan Melayu?

Mukhriz urges PAS to follow up on unity govt move

ALOR STAR: Jerlun MP Datuk Mukhriz Mahathir has urged PAS to follow Umno vice-president Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin’s suggestion that PAS proposes its idea of a unity government in writing to Barisan Nasional.

But Kelantan Mentri Besar Datuk Nik Abdul Aziz Nik Mat said he was against the idea of a Barisan-PAS unity government, as mooted by PAS president Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang.

“It’s been tried before but did not work out. PAS was not appreciated in the coalition and I have many misgivings about this,” Nik Abdul Aziz told reporters in Kota Baru yesterday, adding, however, that it was his personal opinion and the matter needed to be deliberated at PAS’ Muktamar (annual general assembly) in June.

Mukhriz, an Umno Youth exco member, said he had suggested in the past that PAS return to the Barisan fold “so that we can run this country in peace.”

Abdul Hadi had recently called for the formation of a Federal Govern-ment comprising Barisan and Pakatan Rakyar leaders.

In response, Muhyiddin reportedly asked PAS to furnish more details on the proposal, stating that it should come officially from the top leaders of the party.

Yesterday, PAS Youth voiced its support for the move, saying it was timely.

On the DAP’s opposition to the unity government, Mukhriz said that party secretary-general Lim Guan Eng was putting DAP’s grip on political power above national interest.

Lim has demanded that Abdul Hadi explained what he meant by a unity government to PKR and the DAP, PAS’ allies in the Opposition pact.

“As for the DAP, there is no such thing as the formation of such a government,” Lim said last Friday.

Lim, however, said the DAP would continue to co-operate with the Barisan-led government to revive the country’s economy.

An incorrigible idiot

paklah-anwar-sheikh

The ability of PM ‘Flip-Flop’ Dato’ Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi is amazingly unimaginable. The moment everyone thought he could not go any lower, he actually did. Yesterday, it was reported with photo that he had lunch socially with party-less Opposition Leader Anwar Ibrahim and a deviant Ulama Sheikh Mahmud Al Mazjud.

The Star has the story:

Wednesday March 11, 2009

Pak Lah-Anwar in surprise meeting

KUALA LUMPUR: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi and Opposition leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim had an unexpected meeting at a religious school in Hulu Langat, near here, yesterday.

News websites and political portals reported that both of them had been invited by well-known Ustaz, Sheikh Mahmud Al-Mazjub to celebrate Maulidur Rasul at his Madrasah Nurul Iman, Hulu Langat, Selangor.

The portals said there were over 1,000 people at the function who were surprised at the visit of the two men.

Abdullah is said to have arrived about 20 minutes before Anwar and PKR president-wife Datuk Seri Wan Azizah Ismail.

Pictures on the portals showed that Abdullah and Anwar also had lunch with Sheikh Mahmud. The three of them also performed zohor prayers at the school.

Their unexpected meeting raised eyebrows and led to all sorts of speculation on the Internet.

However, Anwar said in his blog that there had been too many assumptions and interpretations over their presence at the function.

******************

Although he said in the press today in Sabah that it was not planned, somehow the plot is rather suspicious. As the Prime Minister, he must be reliably informed that one time his predecessor would be attending the same function, together with the presence of an Ulama whom the late Selangor Mufti Dato’ Baharom Ishak once regard as “a leader deviant teachings”, back in 1994. How on earth could a Prime Minister who worked hard to be portrayed as ‘grandson of an Ulama’ and promoter of Islam Hadhari, be seen consorting with a sodomist and abuse-of-power convict and Islamic deviant?

Sounds like he is an incorrigible idiot!

Then again, as they say, “When the ignorance is bliss, is wise to be folly”. ‘Ignorance’ would be something remotely appropriate to describe PM ‘Flip-Flop’ Abdullah’s administrative ability these past five-and-half year.

What baffles us is that, this incorrigible idiot could actually said that he “simply dropped by because there was an invitation”. How stupid does he wants us to be, accepting a really lame excuse like that, when he lives in Putra Jaya, works in Putra Jaya, his other office in Jalan Semarak and probably should be in Parliament the afternoon  when the much anticipated ‘mini budget’ was about to be tabled? Ulu Langat is actually way out of the way!

This association, even social in nature, would simply draw a lot ‘conspiracy theory’ coffee shop talk all about town. Especially in the wake of controversies created from HRH Paduka Seri Sultan Perak refusal to dissolve the State Assembly, prematured dismissal of DAP-puppet MB Nizar and appointment of Pangkor ADUN Dato’ Dr. Zambry Abdul Kadir as the 10th MB. On top of that, the UMNO General Assembly which will see a very stiff fight for the top party posts.

The plot thickens. For years now, there exist speculations that PM ‘Flip-Flop’ Abdullah’s closets aides have been in close contacts and negotiating with former abuse-of-power convict Anwar Ibrahim’s men. So many believe, especially Anwaristas still within UMNO that Anwar’s future survival, especially ascension into power only lies through UMNO. That is most probably why he never became a PKR card carrying member.

Some loose talk along the grapevine on this and the other ‘conveniences’ of late, is all about not giving upcoming Prime Minister Dato’ Seri Mohd. Najib Tun Razak an easy ride into the top job and Anwar would provide the perfect ‘thorn on the side’. During the much awaited mini budget presentation, which is a medium term strategy supposedly  chart the Malaysian economy, PM ‘Flip-Flop’ Abdullah made little effort to show support to it. He actually dozed of most it.

Malaysiakini has the story:

Meeting a coincidence, say Anwar, Pak Lah

S Pathmawathy | Mar 11, 09 5:50pm

The rumour machines cranked into top gear after news broke out that Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi had lunch with Opposition Leader Anwar Ibrahim yesterday.

Speculation was rife that the duo could be stitching a political plot to shut the door on incoming premier, Najib Abdul Razak, who is slated to take over the leadership reins later this month.

At a press conference in Parliament this afternoon, Anwar prodded reporters into asking him about this controversial lunch date.

“So what is the latest news today?” he casually asked reporters towards the end of the press conference when no questions were popped on the matter.

“Isn’t anybody going to ask me about my meeting yesterday?” he quipped. “Since nobody is asking, it is a closed matter then.”

However, when quizzed, Anwar brushed aside speculations that it was a ‘secret meeting’ between the two heavyweights.

“It was a mere coincidence (that we met),” he said, adding that the two veteran politicians had only discussed “family and health” issues.

‘How can you trust Najib?’

Yesterday, a source close to Anwar told Malaysiakini that the duo had exchanged more than just pleasantries during their meeting at a religious school in Hulu Langat, Selangor, in conjunction with the Maulid Rasul (Prophet Muhammad’s birthday) celebrations.

The two leaders had a four-eye meeting which lasted about 20 minutes.

“Anwar asked Abdullah how he could have entrusted the country to Najib, to which the PM said it was too late to do anything now.

“The two leaders talked about the need to salvage the country and agreed to keep communication lines open between them,” he said.

The source also claimed that Abdullah had said his loyalists within Umno would help keep Najib in check.

Despite being pressed on this by reporters, Anwar refused to comment on this, beyond saying that he had already dealt with the issue in his blog.

In his blog, Anwar said there were many assumptions made about the meeting and urged the public not to read too much into it.

**********************

<!–[if gte mso 9]> Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 <![endif]–><!–[if gte mso 9]> <![endif]–>

This is meeting a boost for Anwar and Anwaristas, at the time where the Pakatan Rakyat’s chip is very low and with the recent scandals in Perak, Kedah and Selangor and the fall out within Pakatan Rakyat itself, this is an opportunity they would really want to capitalise. Especially against and destroying the credibility of Dato’ Seri Najib and integrity of Barisan Nasional; a strategy Anwar and Anwaristas have been crafting all the way since Ijok by-election two years ago. Even to a point using the Jewish Neo Con network to realise this. An incurable show off, Anwar Ibrahim will definitely capitalise on this when  Dato’ Seri Najib  as the new BN Chairman has to face Bukit Gantang, Bukit Selambau, Batang Ai and probably Bukit Lanjan by-elections soon after the UMNO AGM and party elections.

Of course, the meeting in Ulu Langat suspiciously point towards Political Secretary Dato’ Alwi Che Ahmad’s direction. This is the same tactics-in-desperation that has been deployed earlier. Much like the midnight meetings between mid-September to early October, when sordid efforts made to salvage any shred of support within UMNO to portray that PM ‘Flip-Flop’ Abdullah was still wanted, thus translated by the nominations by the UMNO Divisions. At last, non avail and PM ‘Flip-Flop’ Abdullah conceded by not defending the Presidency.

Needless to say, the timing was wrong. Then again, there will be never a good moment to consort with sexual and religious deviants.

*Updated 1035am.

Originally, PM ‘Flip-Flop’ Abdullah was not on the inivation list. The original VIP invitees were Anwar Ibrahim and Indonesian Vice President Yusuf Kalla. PM ‘Flip-Flop’ Abdullah ‘self invited’ himself, last minute.

NST should be responsible for wrongly connotating ‘Ketuanan Melayu’

It has come to our attention, that NST’s article on HRH Raja Perlis’s titah on ‘Ketuanan Melayu’ has been spun, for most probably the wrong reason. Primero bloggo-journo Rocky’s Bru has highlighted the major English as ‘Putting words in HRH’s mouth’.

‘Ketuanan Melayu ‘is about respecting and adherence to HRHs Malay Sultans sovereign rule and traditions as ‘Masters of the Land’, despite sacrificing the luxury of power for Westminster style ‘Constitutional Monarchy’ democracy, when Federation of Malaya achieved its independence. This is embedded in the Federal Constitution.

In short, ‘Ketuanan Melayu’ is constitutional and it does not repress other peoples’ rights.

Interpreting this otherwise is inherently dangerous. NST should be responsible in presenting HRH Raja Perlis’s (who was the past immediate XII HM Seri Paduka Yang DiPertuan Agong) titah, with such strong connotation. Lately, some Malaysians already using any opportunities they can to belittle the indirect role and patronage of HRH’s within the Malaysian political system, for all the wrong reasons.

Now, does NST has a ‘hidden agenda’ in this article?

Strangely, it were the same persons who adulterated ‘Daulat Tuanku’ for their narrow political  struggle almost one and a half year ago, when they felt HRHs were ready to back their street movement for political pressure against the ruling government.

NST, as a responsible ‘media corporate citizen’ should make sure that the rakyat do not misuse any part of any HRH’s titah, for all the wrong and selfish reasons. The convenient “correction we almost missed” is something should probably be taken as ‘having a hidden agenda’.

STPM 2008: Bukti PPSMI berjaya

Switching back to Bahasa a good idea

I LAUD the statement by Umno Youth deputy president Khairy Jamaluddin suggesting a switch back to Bahasa Malaysia for the teaching of Science and Mathematics.

Reversing or switching back the medium of instruction for Science and Mathematics to Bahasa Malaysia should be supported and looked upon seriously for the well being of knowledge and education in the future.

First of all, at the beginning of the implementation there was already a problem because the main concern for the ‘change’ was to improve the use of English language and thus improve the students’ fluency in the language.

The reasoning used here is questionable. Normally, language is used as a tool to acquire knowledge in whatever disciplines, including Mathematics and Science. It should not be the other way round where the two disciplines, Mathematics and Science are used to improve the students’ fluency in the English language.

Furthermore, every child wherever he is in this world has the basic right to acquire knowledge in his mother tongue.

How do we expect a child to learn another new language to acquire a knowledge? Is it not much easier to do it in his own mother tongue?

This is also Datuk Seri Ong Ka Ting’s belief. He made a plea to the Government to retain the use of Mandarin in Chinese schools for Mathematics and Science.

He is also supported by our beloved Prime Minister Pak Lah.

*********************************

8 March 2008: An analysis a year later

Tonight is a night of the anniversary of an agony of defeat. It was the darkest moment for Barisan Nasional (BN) in over 53 years. It was the defining moment where BN was brought down to its knees.

It was this time exactly last year, we conceded that BN was obliterated in the states of Selangor, Perak, Pulau Pinang and Kedah. We were in Alor Setar that night and it was so clear when we had to whisper to the fourth Prime Minister Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad that several Cabinet Ministers we ‘gunned down’ in their own stronghold; Dato’ Seri S. Samy Vellu, Dato’ Seri Shahrizat Abdul Jalil, Dato’ Aziz Shamsuddin and Tan Sri Koh Tsu Koon. His eyes were glued to the large screen TV in his Kepala Batas private home, to watch one by one, BN lost to Pakatan Rakyat (PR). Just before midnight, he flew back to Kuala Lumpur and waking up in an awe.

There were euphoria in Shah Alam, Ipoh, Georgetown and Alor Setar. The blue flag was taken down from all the Menteri Besars’ residences that very night. Now that is has been a year, perhaps it would be another defining moment to take stock.

The morning after, Fourth Prime Minister Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad urged PM ‘Flip-Flop’ Dato’ Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi to take responsibility and resign for the humiliating defeat that BN had to face. However, the latter in thick-face  BN Chairman came out to face Malaysians with “We did not lose. We are still the majority”. Three days after that, newly elected Jerlun MP Dato’  Mukhriz Mahathir wrote to PM ‘Flip-Flop’ Abdullah asking him to fully assume the responsibility and resign. That did not go well with many UMNO leaders. Former Vice President Tengku Razaleigh wrote to all 20,000 branch leaders asking them to conduct EGMs to discuss UMNO and BN’s poor performance and a road map to move forward.

First sign of trouble when HRH Rulers started to take a stand a refused to appoint PM ‘Flip-Flop’ Abdullah’s nominated Menteri Besars. These unprecedented incidences almost became a constitutional crisis in Perlis and Terengganu.

Then, it was the new Cabinet announced. PM ‘Flip-Flop’ Abdullah brought in unassuming rejected ‘has-beens’ in politics back into the Government, in the likes of Senator Tan Sri Muhammad “Mike Tyson” Muhd. Taib and Dato’ Zaid Ibrahim. Son-in-law linked MPs like Dato’ Shaziman Abu Mansor and Dato’ Ismail Sabri Yunus were made Cabinet Minister as well.

On the other hand, being the main campaign engine during elections, no Wanita UMNO was in. That created a huge controversy at a point of mutiny. Momentarily, PM ‘Flip-Flop’ Abdullah brought in defeated Women and Social Development Minister Dato’ Sharizat Jalil as an ‘adviser with ministerial status’ even though Wanita UMNO Chief Dato’ Seri Rafidah Aziz managed to retain her Kuala Kangsar parliamentary seat. Later, former Maybank MD Dato’ Amirsham Aziz was brought in as Minister in charge of EPU.

Slightly a month later, former abuse of power convict Anwar Ibrahim celebrated his ‘emancipation’ from the limitations of being an ex-convict. At the Black 14 rally, Anwar announced his Ketuanan Rakyat tagline and also promised that Pakatan Rakyat would form the next Federal Government, as early as within four weeks. Again, that call was reitirated later that by 16 September 2008, PR would rule Malaysia. Till present, that never came through.

More and more UMNO Leaders talk about the need to change for the sake of the Malays, especially via the ‘transition of power’. Many middle UMNO leaders felt that the rakyat, especially the younger generation need to see changes, to convince them back into giving support to the nationalist party. UMNO has been said to be an elitist party and it has to be ‘rooted back’ to the members. At an UMNO retreat, some leaders actually openly ask PM ‘Flip-Flop’ Abdullah to go, for the betterment of the party.

When so much focus on UMNO, Tun Dr. Mahathir was invited to be interviewed in BBC’s Hard Talk and he clarified to the world what PM ‘Flip-Flop’ Abdullah was doing and who Anwar Ibrahim really was. Despite of BN’s poor performance, PM ‘Flip-Flop’ Abdullah remained under the spell of the ‘Level Four Boys’.

PM ‘Flip-Flop’ Abdullah’s lacklustre management in the pretext of ‘openess’ saw how the national integration starting to slip, especially via series of ‘intellectual discourse’ NGOs beginning to organise and openly look into ultra sensitive matters such as ‘social contract’ and the New Economic Policy (NEP). Many antagonists used these platforms as a mean ‘”towards builing Malaysia into a civil society” to insult the sensitivities and position of majority, to a point of provocation.

On Tun Dr. Mahathir’s birthday, PM ‘Flip-Flop’ Abdullah announced his ‘power transition plan’ to DPM Dato’ Seri Mohd. Najib Tun Razak, in the hopes that it will simmer down the pressure within and put a glimmer of expectations of good tidings coming our way.

Then came the Saiful Bukhary Azlan sodomy case. Like usual, Anwar “Drama King” Ibrahim would put his ‘conspiracy theory’ defense mechanism. Its a ‘new act to an old drama’.

Performance wise, PR never did fulfill what they promised the rakyat. In Selangor, they threw in sundry so many things. 20M cube FOC. Then free kindergarten. More allowances. They even allowed a proposal to make a mega pig farm a go ahead, which drew so many controversies.

In Penang, DAP Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng conceded that they failed to eliminate the poverty within one year of coming to power.

In Perak, DAP-puppet MB Nizar Jamaluddin started to give away lands to Chinese settlers, under the pretext of 999 year lease. That was said to tick of HRH Paduka Seri Sultan, on top of the issue of Perak Religious Department Director summarily transfer.

In Kedah, MB Azizan was plagued with timber concessions scandals, something typical of PAS administration. The pattern was simillar to Kelantan’s.

In all, Pakatan Rakyat did not do much, even after a year. Somehow rakyat simply forgotten when PAS President Hadi Awang was campaigning in the 10th November 1999 General Elections, he promised that when PAS takes over Terengganu “We will enforce Hudud before the sun comes up”. Until 5 years later when BN took over, there was no Hudud.

In August, PKR President Wan Azizah Wan Ismail vacated her Permatang Pauh parliamentary seat to make way for PKR Adviser Anwar Ibrahim. He wasn’t even a party member. That by-election saw his comeback into the Dewan Rakyat after ten years of absence. He was elected the Opposition Leader, replacing his wife.

There is a dynasty in the House now. Anwar and daughter, Lim Kit Siang and son and Karpal Singh and sone. All PR Leaders. All the same time.

In mean time, UMNO pushed hard to make sure that PM ‘Flip-Flop’ Abdullah fulfill his decision to hand over the Leadership in a ‘transition of power’ to DPM Dato’ Seri Mohd. Najib Tun Razak. Division level AGMs commenced from first week of October. On the last leg, many saw the active under current to nominate PM ‘Flip-Flop’ Abdullah as President, as UMNO Supreme Council moved the planned December AGM to March 2009.

By Early October, PM ‘Flip-Flop’ Abdullah conceded and announced that he shall not run for any post. With nominations for DPM Najib pouring in as UMNO President, his ascension to the Leadership was certain. Within a year of BN’s poor performance, the Leadership shifted.

In late November, Deputy Education  Minister Dato’ Razali Ismail was called to be with the Lord. That paved way for another by-election, in Kuala Terengganu.  Against popular notion, UMNO made a dissasterous call of pitting Senator Wan Farid Wan Salleh, then Deputy Home Minister as the candidate for the January 2009 by-election. A ‘Level Four’ linked UMNO man, BN saw the second consecutive lost of by-elections since the 8 March 2008 12th General Elections.

Late January, saw another political sensation. Two PKR and one DAP ADUN decided to throw their support behing BN. As a reaction, DAP-puppet MB Dato’ Seri Nizar Jamaludddin sought audience with HRH Paduka Seri Sultan to dissolve the 10 month old Perak State Assembly. Instead, HRH Sultan Azlan met with DPM Dato’ Seri Najib and all the 28 BN and three ‘defected’ ADUNs and was convinced that BN now commands the majority in the Perak State Assembly. He summarily dismissed DAP-puppet MB Nizar and appointed Pangkor BN ADUN Dato’ Dr. Zambry Abdul Kadir as the 10th Perak MB.

As expected, that created a ruckus amongst the Perak and national level PR.  The ‘Reformasi’ style street demonstrations had instantenously begun, which the nation saw how HRH Raja Muda Perak’s motorcade was stopped on the way to the new MB swearing in. This time, against the Raja. In their blatant eagerness to remain in power, DAP Chairman Karpal Singh announced his intention to drag HRH Paduka Seri Sultan Perak to court, which saw the wrath of the Malays across the nation.

Like expected, Anwaristas would not take defeat like true gentlemen. They would use every single avenue in the law process, to disrupt the appointment of the new BN Perak Government, even if it meant that the Perak Government is bought to near paralyse. The recently dismissed Perak Government even unlawfully approved decisions, which could create a lot of chaos in the system. Party-less Opposition Leader Anwar Ibrahim is the dalang to all these derhaka. Pakatan Rakyat demonstrated their true colours: Power and nothing else. not even the interests of the nation. They even resorted to tactics of inciting hate and anger amongst the rakyat.

These Pakatan Rakyat propogaters of Ketuanan Rakyat, now bring the notion of ‘Rakyat is right’, a derivative on Anwar’s ‘Rakyat Hakim Negara’ during the height of Reformasi movement ten years ago. They are now willing to be ingkar and derhaka‘, in their greed for political power and at the expense of civility, normalcy and adherence to society’s protocol and traditions. However, these are the same people who adulterated “Daulat Tuanku” a year earlier, during the run-up of pre-12 GE.

The PR goons even held an illegal emergency of the Perak State Assembly under a tree, when then the planned emergency session did not get HRH Paduka Seri Sultan’s perkenan. Drama, is part of PR and Anwaristas way to get attention, even to a point making themselves into ‘circus clowns’.

In the final analysis, PR won not because they had a plan to offer and deliver. It was because the common rakyat was fed up with PM ‘Flip-Flop’ Abdullah’s Leadership and how UMNO and BN no longer carry their aspirations. UMNO, as the lead partner and mainstay of support for BN has to change, in order to bring back its glory. UMNO has to be democratized, to regain the confidence and support of the rakyat.

In a long one year, PR failed. PR was a marriage on convenience  which turned out to be ‘inconvenient’. Afterall, between ‘bandits’ with contradictory dreams and expectations, some resorted to outdo and backstab each other. Anwar lied and failed. It is time for Malaysians to take stock on the hope sand expectations, for the mandates they are willing to give him and Pakatan Rakyat, in retaliation of their dismay of below expectations, ineptitude, poor delivarables and scandals plaguing PM ‘Flip-Flop’ Abdullah, family and cronies; all at the expense of Barisan Nasional.

The year has passed and Malaysia has bigger challenges; the global economic crisis. It is obvious Pakatan Rakyat is only interested in playing politics and nothing else, just to remain in power. Malaysians should allow the people with the real agenda and proven track record get the nation back on its track, at least to weather this economy in an inevitable upcoming storm.

‘Ketuanan Melayu’ is constitutional and not repressing anyone’s rights

HRH Raja Perlis Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin Ibni Almarhum Tuanku Syed Putra yesterday called for the equal rights for all Malaysians be protected and preserved, as per stipulated by the Federal Constitution. In essence, those who tried to intimidate this should be sternly rejected.

The NST has the story:

Equal rights for all Malaysians, says Perlis ruler

KANGAR: The Raja of Perlis, Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin Putra Syed Jamalullail, yesterday took to task those propounding the “ketuanan Melayu” (Malay supremacy) policy, accusing them of using “narrow-minded ways to achieve personal objectives”.

He said every Malaysian, irrespective of age, gender, social status or religion, enjoyed equal rights.

The ruler said some Malaysians were making a big issue of the “ketuanan Melayu” issue and asking that supremacy or rights be given only to a particular race.

“It is very unfortunate to see these self-interested parties raising sensitive issues which could dampen the spirits and hopes of millions of people. In Malaysia, every race is tuan,” he said in his speech at the launching of a seminar on the Federal Constitution here. The seminar was jointly organised by the state government and the Biro Tatanegara.

The Raja of Perlis reminded everyone that no individual should be deprived of his rights and that sensitive issues should not be raised in a multi-racial country like Malaysia.

“Sensitive issues and disharmony in society will only bring harm to the country,” he added.

He said after 51 years, there was an understanding between the royal houses, leaders of all races and political parties in the country on the multi-racial character of the nation.

“This understanding is referred to as a social contract. It is to ensure that every race lives in harmony. The rights of every individual and race cannot not be taken away and at the same time Islam will remain the official religion of the country.”

The Raja of Perlis said the role of the Malay royalty should be upheld as they had played the most significant role in defending the rights of the people. He said it was the responsibility of the royalty to ensure that everyone lived in harmony.

“Today, many individuals redefine the social contract in the Federal Constitution in their own narrow-minded way for personal objectives.

“I believe that if everyone understands that every individual of any race, should not be deprived of their rights, then the efforts of certain parties who think that the supremacy or rights should only be given to a particular race can be stopped,” he said.

The ruler hoped that the contents of the Federal Constitution will be clearly understood by all, including the leaders of political parties.

**************************

What HRH Raja Perlis said in his titah was correct. However, the interpretations that precede this titah could be detrimental from the spirit of preserving unity, especially to those who would spin this for their own selfish interests. It is expected so many parties will manipulate this titah, for their own narrow political interests, especially in the wake controversies arising from the strong opposition of some people on HRH Paduka Seri Sultan Perak’s decision to deny former DAP-puppet MB Dato’ Seri Nizar Jamaluddin’s request to dissolve the State Assembly, his summarily dismissal and appointment of Dato’ Dr. Zambry Abdul Kadir as the 10th Perak Menteri Besar.

‘Ketuanan Melayu’, as made popular by former Political Secretary to the promoter of New Economic Policy (NEP) Tun Abdul Razak Hussein, Tan Sri Abdullah Ahmad, during a seminar in Singapore in 1986. Since then, so many skewed interpretations of the phrase were used, including some to spite the sensitivities of ethnic groups in Malaysia. Often, it was misconstrued, even adulterated for all the wrong reasons.

The true spirit of ‘Ketuanan Melayu’ arisen in various perspective of interpretations. For starters, the common definition of the Malays is ‘Those of Malay ethnicity, speaks the Malay language, live the cultural practices of the Malays and embrace Islam’. The entire criterion must be taken in aggregate.

Then these are special mention on the special rights of the Malays, which have been embedded in the Federal Constitution, like Article 152 on Bahasa Melayu is the national language and Article 153 on the special rights of the Malays. Rightfully, the Federal Constitution has been enacted by the process of democracy and this was the fundamental basis in the birth of this nation on 31 August 1957.

Historically, Malaysia was the ‘Land of the Malays’, hence Tanah Melayu. The influx of immigrants grew in exponential rate when the British colonialise this land and brought in labourers from China and India for economic reasons and to support the British administration, development programs and their lifestyle. Majority of these immigrants were stateless and did not have any right, even to the point of the first General Elections in 1955, where Malayans gave mandate to HRH Tunku Abdul Rahman Putra, then the Chief Minister and UMNO led Perikatan to negotiate for independence. On the other hand, the Malays then were  the only ethnic recognized as ‘subjects of the HRH Malay Sultans’.

When British High Commissioner Harold MacMichael conned the Malay Rulers to give up their rights as sovereign rulers beginning late 1945 and Malayan Union was incorporated, it was only the Malays who rose to protest and wanted to preserve the position and rights of the Sultans. This  movement led to the birth of UMNO on 11 May 1946 in Istana Besar, Johor Bahru, Johor under the auspices of HRH Sultan Johor. Subsequent to the failure of Malayan Union in 1946, the British  only  invited HRH Malay Rulers and UMNO to sit on the formation of the post Malayan Union road map and constitution. The 6-20 November 1946 negotiations resulted on a draft treaty, which was brought to British Parliament. However it was vehemently opposed by radical Non Malay groups.

On 21 Jan 1948, the Federation  Treaty was signed  (and eventually came to force on 1 Feb 1948) by British High Commissioner, representatives of HRH Rulers and UMNO and adopted the pre-1941 status quo. There were specific mention of Article 12 on citizenship, item (a) “Any subjects of HRH Malay Rulers who were born on on before the date”, (b) “Any British subjects who were born in the Strait Settlements on or before that date”, (c) “Any persons which was born on or before the date in any of the Malay States within the Federation who is practicing the Malay culture and speak the Malay language”. There was specific provision for the application to be citizens, which clearly state the requirement to be verse in Malay. No provisions for the rights of the Non Malays were mentioned. This was the basis of the Federation of Malaya Constitution, which came into affect on 31 August 1957.

UMNO Leaders were the first to work on the Kemerdekaan, through consultative ways which lead to the fruitful effort of negotiations throughout 1956. The tolerance and ‘give and take’ attitude and approaches Malays known for are reflected in very positive results.

Upon agreeing for independence, the British gave the nine Malay Rulers the first right of refusal to take the helm of power. After being convinced by Tunku, the HRHs instead collectively agreed to fore go the offer and opted for Westminster style democracy, on the principles of ‘constitutional monarchy’. The other condition was that the status of the 850,000 stateless Non Malays must be addressed as the British refused to bear responsibility of them post independence. Tunku agreed to offer these persons of stateless and immigrant status for automatic citizenships of Malaya, provided that special rights of the Malays be casted-in-stone within the Federal Constitution. The  British and representatives of the Non Malays concurred with this decision.

To prove the point of the Non Malay stateless persons deemed  immigrants is simple. When the Royal Malay Regiment was formed in 1933 as experimental unit for the army for the defense of Malaya, only Malays were allowed. The Non Malays were only allowed to serve the Armed Forces after Malaya gained independence. Meaning,  pre-independence the Non Malays were not accorded the same status to defend this land, should the need arises.

The final point is the literal interpretations of the word ‘Ketuanan’. Sociologist Prof. Shamsul Amri defined ‘Ketuanan’ not as ‘Masters’, but coming from the word ‘Tuan’, which carries the connotation of ‘respect’. Hence ‘Ketuanan Melayu’ should be interpreted as ‘respecting the rights and positions of the Malays’, against ‘Masters’ of the nation. Apparently, the Malays address HRHs as “Tuanku” (My master), unlike the English, “Your Royal Highness”.

Taking all of the points in aggregate and how history has recorded, then till present, the Non Malays were never denied any of their rights as citizen of Malaysia. Hence, Tuanku Raja Perlis’s reminder should be taken in the right context.

Expounding further on the historical point, UMNO President Tunku Abdul Rahman managed to convince HRH Malay Rulers to compromise their right to rule for the betterment of the majority  and this was the first hurdle on the agreement to gain independence which was achieved. Then only came the all-party agreement to award citizenship for the stateless Non Malays deemed as immigrants. This only proven the point, despite being given the right to be ‘Masters of the land’, the Malays not only tolerated but compromised for stateless Non Malays deemed immigrants to be accorded as citizens with equal rights. This was the basis of what is commonly known as ‘social contract’, which has been embedded in words and spirit, within the Federal Constitution.

If the political point is taken into consideration, UMNO compromised for the sake of ‘unity’ and ‘togetherness’ spirit by allowing 17 out of the 52 seats contested in the 1955 General Elections to be allocated for MCA and MIC, even though 85% of the eligible voters were Malays. This is was the point the Malays, as the majority and true subjects of HRHs made a ‘political sacrifice’. The near absolute victory resulted Tunku being accorded as ‘representing the voice of the people of Malaya’ and that started the negotiation process with HRH Malay Rulers and then the British. There onwards, UMNO representing the Malays were willing to compromise, but not upto when the position and rights of the Malays being challenged, especially in an insulting tone.

The true spirit of ‘Ketuanan Melayu’ was never about denying the rights of the Non Malays. Far from repressing them. It is very wrong that parties adulterating all the mitigating points that define the spirit of ‘Ketuanan Melayu’, by manipulating facts for the sole purpose of provocation, antagonizing and stirring up the emotions , heating up situations and  capitalising on the sensitivities of certain quarters. The intention of persons and parties with such malice could only be seen as trying to taking advantage and capitalise at the point when there exist a serious racial, physical, religious and political turmoil. Anarchy, using intellectual nodes of human rights, civil liberty and society is very much their strategy to gain into power.

This is an act of treason.

In short, the spirit of ‘Ketuanan Melayu’ was intended to preserve the sentiments and position of HRH Malay Rulers and the Malays, which is constitutional. This must be taken in the right perspective, context and intention; to preserve the Federal Consitution. For the XII HM Seri Paduka Yang DiPertuan Agong to remind all Malaysians in his ceremonial duty to remain magnanimous is timely.

Dubus: Part of Anwar’s conspiracy to ‘kill’ Najib

This is an interesting revelation. Rocky’s expose on Dubus’s Liberation and the story is on the same avenue as Raja Petra’s attempt to rubbish Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor in the sordid attempt to ‘destroy’ public confidence on the upcoming Prime Minister Dato’ Seri Mohd. Najib Tun Razak has an uncovered twist conveniently attached to it. It boils down to a story of conspiracy.

It seems that Liberation paper is owned by Edouard De Rothschild, the Jewish financial baron from the high and mighty Rothschild family. They have been the ‘invisible hand’ in the western financial world, ever since post Battle-0f-Waterloo’s day.

The story of how the Rothschild empire started was about  crafty planning and manipulation. Nathan M. Rothschild apparently sent spies at the June  1815 Belgian battle which saw the final defeat of Napolean Bonaparte. That night, Rothschild’s spies rode and sailed back to London. By morning, he had the advantage of the actual news and manipulated it in such that he spread the news of Wellington’s humilaiting defeat instead. That saw a panic selling on the London Stock Exchange, which saw many companies’ shares crumbled. By mid day, the German born Jewish immigrant started to buy these profitable companies literally at a song. When the actual news of Wellington’s victory eventually reached Fleet Street, Rothschild was in control of the British Empire’s most wealthiest trading houses.

That was the beginning of the Rothschild empire. He and his children then onwards control much of the western world by financing all the governments. The legacy has been maintained till present day. This was the basis of Tun Dr. Mahathir’s reminder just before he left office, which the western world deemed as anti-semitic.

rothschild_edouard01

Edouard De Rothschild apparently has a close relationship with party-less Opposition Leader Anwar Ibrahim. They have been close friends since the former abuse-of-power convict was involved directly with the World Bank and International Monetary Fund. This is also the same time he made friends with Wolfowitz.

Anwar’s Neo Con Jewish connections are very clear. In fact, being the darling of the Jews, including the Zionists is so apparent. This is something Malaysians should probably be wary about. His ability to mount hate politics strategically using propaganda, is very much the integral part Jewish political bag-of-dirty-tricks, which the Americans are so famous more.

Anwar has been sordidly attempting to kill DPM Najib’s credibility since April 2007 Ijok’s by-election. This  was and is  still Anwar’s only hope to ascend back into power, especially PM ‘Flip-Flop’ Dato’ Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi’s leadership has been vehemently opposed and detest by so many Malaysians, including within the ruling party UMNO. Since PM ‘Flip-Flop’ Abdullah poor management and scandals of family and cronies are thought to be self-destructive, had opened Anwar & co. the opportunity to strategize and execute against destroying DPM Najib’s credibility and integrity, with one slanderous unmitigated accusation after another.

Apparently, damaged has been done. A sizable portion of internet savvy and educated Malaysians actually buy into these “conspiracy theories on Najib being an evil leader”. This is something uphill for DPM Najib and his people to undo. However, time is the best way to tell. The thirteen million Ringgit question is that, how much time  and opportunity does DPM Najib has before as the sixth Prime Minister and BN Chairman, he has to face an increasingly more informative Malaysian voters?

Malaysians should also never forget to include Anwar’s propensity to lie compulsively, despite his mesmerising oratory skills facade. Especially his ‘Black 14′ promises, which lead to the over-exposed-but-yet-to-be-fulfilled 16 September 2008 ‘coup d’etat’. His inability of tasting-his-own-medicine should also be considered, before Malaysians ever consider giving him any shred of power.

The speed of Dubus’s article in French being translated and uploaded to pro-Anwar Malaysian blogs simply proven the conspiracy theory. Malaysians should expect more, when Najib ascends to power soon and has to face the multiple high adrenaline by-elections.

These next scenes of the episode to ‘kill’ Najib should be another thread of conspiracy game that Anwar & co. will play, within the next three years. Drama King Anwar, being a master conspirator, had relied on the ‘conspiracy theory’ as his defense mechanism during the power-of-abuse and sodomy case trials. Again,  when the Saiful Bukhary sodomy trial will commence, the world should be expecting the same show-boating legal ‘tai-chi’ from their team of lawyers.
