There is a very strong perception by the Lembah Klang valley dwellers that part of Chinese Chauvinsts DAP struggle is to champion businesses owned and operated by the Lords of Underworld Vices. It was illustrated when many across-the-board Chinese business community stood against the DAP-controlled-PBT-business-licensing in Selangor.

Women groups rage over number of ‘heartbreaking’ massage-cum-sex centres

PETALING JAYA: A group of women NGOs is outraged over the rising number of massage parlours in Selangor, saying these vice dens have caused much heartbreak to many families.
They said innocent lives had been affected when husbands, fathers and even sons became regulars of the illicit services offered at some of the outlets.
“Many families have been affected by the mushrooming of these massage centres.
“Money that is meant for the family is spent on unnecessary activities,” beautician and Malaysian Beauty Therapy Association president Datin Clara Chee said.
Teenagers, she said, were also being lured to such places.

“Family values are affected and this is bad for the moral fibre of society,” she said yesterday.
Chee was joined by representatives from the Federation of Kwang Tung Associations (Women Section), Federation of Chinese Associations Malaysia (Hua Zong), the Malaysian Chinese Women Entrepreneurs Foundation, Malaysia Hindu Sangam and several other groups.
The Federation of Kwang Tung Associations (Women Section), which was represented by Chong Moi Heong, said it was high time the state government drew the line and regulate the licence holders and clamp down on illegal operators.
“If this does not happen, it may lead to serious social problems,” she said.
Last month, The Star exclusively reported that massage centres and reflexology outlets were just a front for masseuses who offered sexual favours for between RM50 and RM150.
These vice dens can be found throughout Selangor.
The Selangor Government has denied issuing new licences since 2008.
However, many operators of these places had set up business complete with signboards to advertise their supposedly legitimate services.
State Local Government Committee chairman Ronnie Liu said only 60 massage and foot reflexology centres in Selangor had been issued licences, with most of them in Ampang Jaya.
However, Wanita MCA secretary-general Senator Chew Lee Giokclaimed last week that there were about 220 massage centres in Petaling Jaya alone.

Chinese Chauvinist DAP Exco Ronnie Liu is the Selangor State Government in-charge of local authorities (PBT), which have the power to issue business licenses. A few months after the fall of Selangor Barisan Nasional, then Oppositon Leader Dato’ Sri Dr Mohd. Khir Toyo claimed that 600 new ‘health centre licenses’ cropped up all over Selangor in almost all nooks and corners.
It was believed that is one of the underlying issues surrounding the sudden death of Teoh Beng Hock in August 2009, who was then the political aide to Ean Yong Hian Wah.
Even though for a long time DAP carries the aura of the champion of petty Chinese business community against MCA’s more structured and larger Chinese businessmen, along the line it is believed that these Chinese Chauvinists found a strong patronage by Lords of the Underworld Vices. A lot of monies attained from ‘unconventional business activities’ had to be ‘cycled and processed through, via high street business entities.
During the last few years of BN’s rule in Selangor, any attempt of PBT and Police trying to raid all of these ‘health centres’ and karaoke joints met with very stern and aggressive reaction of Chinese Chauvinist DAP leaders like Liu. Now that DAP is taking charge of the PBT licenses in Selangor, the Police and even immigration find it difficult to get the PBTs co-operation to shut down entities which believed to be operating vice activities, which include prostitution and illegal gambling dens.
In Penang, a lot of room for ‘entertainment business entities’ rose since Lim Guan Eng took power. So many new establishment cropped across the north east and west of the island. There has been a streaming influx of Chinese nationals into Penang and Selangor in the past three years, some with student visa.
A lot of the bad aura which is looming around Royal Customs of late is related to smuggling, which is centred around Selangor.
Maybe the planned BERSIH 2.0 march on 9 July should focus on ‘cleaning’ Opposition controlled states such as Selangor and Penang. Especially cities like Petaling Jaya from these vice activities masquerading as business entities. 220 new ‘health centres’ cropped up in Petaling Jaya area alone since the last three years. Of course, the Federal law enforcement agencies have to do more to get to the bottom of this.
In the list of importance to the soceity, all these underworld vices masquarading in all these ‘health centres’, illegal gambling dens and smuggling agencies have higher position in the position of threat against the rakyats’ interest. These should be ‘BERSIH’ed first, of anything else.
