Opposition-backing online news portal which recently lots its credibility with public apology of slanderous reporting, tried to demonise an UMNO with huge potential. The Malaysian Insider attempted to portray Dato’ Mukhriz Mahathir’s accusation of Anwar “Mat King Leather” Ibrahim’s sordid attempt to gain into power with Arab Spring styled mobstreet demonstration, with specific intention to create disability and violence.
Mukhriz: Pakatan conspiring with foreigners to invoke ‘Malaysia Spring’

KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 1 — Datuk Mukhriz Mahathir accused Pakatan Rakyat (PR) today of colluding with foreign powers to flare up violence and invoke the “Malaysia Spring” that Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim recently predicted for the coming polls.Calling the Opposition Leader “desperate”, the Umno deputy minister told his party’s annual general assembly here that “Anwar Ibrahim himself has flared the seeds of revolution ala Arab Spring” to topple the Barisan Nasional (BN) administration.
He said the opposition has been using street protests to conspire against BN and went a step further to allege that a death was even “faked” during the Bersih 2.0 July 9 march for free and fair elections.
“Actually, my honourable delegates, whether you realise it or not, the opposition is the new tool of the foreign powers.
“The opposition gets a lot of funding and lots more of other support to attain their objective of what they have coined as regime change. Question I am asking is, are we going to allow the new era of colonisation to happen here?” he thundered to the sea of delegates gathered for the assembly today.
Anwar had recently predicted the coming of a “Malaysia Spring” in the next general election, confidently telling US newswire Bloomberg in an interview that PR will wrest Putrajaya from BN.
“We’re taking over the government at the rate we’re going,” he was quoted as saying in the interview carried on the newswire early last month.
The opposition leader, who is facing the prospect of possible conviction for the second sodomy charge in his career, had cited the Bersih 2.0 rally on July 9 as a sign of growing support towards PR.
The march for free and fair elections, organised by the election watchdog group, drew thousands of protestors to streets of the capital but turned chaotic at midday when police launched tear gas canisters and water cannons to disperse the crowd. Over 1,500 arrests were made.
Mukhriz, the Umno Kubang Pasu division chief, claimed that at the time, the opposition, “with the planned support of Western media”, broadcast images to tarnish Malaysia’s international standing to the world.
He warned that this could have resulted in the same riots and chaos that reigned in the streets of London recently and caused bloodshed.
“Aren’t these Western nations that the opposition so adore the very ones that kill in the most brutal fashion innocent civilians in the nations that they colonise?” he said.
Yet, the leader continued to allege, there are still “traitors from within our midst” colluding with foreign powers to “rape our nations”.
“They (opposition) say our government is corrupt, practices nepotism, cronyism, and inefficient, not relevant, not liberal enough, not Islamic enough, too far left, too far right, not firm, restricts freedom and human rights and much more.
“The opposition is trying to portray our government… the same as dictator governments in Arab nations that do injustice to their citizenry. Utter rubbish,” he said.

They say a picture is worth a thousand words. We are not sure how with these collection of motion pictures coupled with thousands more words fare on Anwar “Mat King Leather” Ibrahim as being a Neo Con Jewish stooge for Western Agenda in Malaysia.

“Growing support” nonsense. 6,000 attendees at Bersih out of 300,000 at first envisaged, dwindling to 200,000 estimated later, to 100,000, finally 50,000 on the eve of the rally. And the Police had so many static cameras plus 5 helicopters with videos monitoring the rally from all vantage points.
And they showed footage of the rally one time after another. Where got “growing support”?
And so stupid of anybody to equate the situation in the Arab countries with Malaysia. Hosni Mubarak ruled Egypt on Emergency Laws without elections for 30 years. Muammar Ghadafi ruled Libya also without elections for 41 years. Assad Senior and Assad Junior ruled Syria without elections for about 40 years.
Malaysia has had elections every 4-5 years. Tun Dr Mahathir ruled for 22 years but also had elections every 4–5 years.
Those foreign news agencies reporting on Anwar’s claims without verifying what were said are undemocratic themselves. They do not have regard for the fact that democracy requires both sides of the coins be heard. They should at least have said that Anwar said such and such but others said such and such.
And Al Gore, Paul Wolfowitz, Donald Rumsfeld and all – what do they know? They just read what Anwar and the likes of Anwar say. Saying Arab Spring in this country my foot.
In any event, I like it when reading that the Police and the Military have been holding joint exercises for the maintenance of security and peace in the country. Kudos to them. Always on the alert. Nip in the fellows’ nasty intentions in the bud.
Please also note that while Hosni Mubarak was a puppet put in place by U.S. imperialism, so were some of the “Arab Spring” protestors who were trained by U.S. imperialism. Also that El Baradei guy is a stooge of U.S. imperialism.
The U.S. imperialists know how to play both sides in “good cop” – “bad-cop” fashion.
Sure, they can have a government with all the trappings of democracy, freedom, human, rights, gay rights, abortion rights, rights to smoke pot, etc, while they rape a country’s economy and resources and milk its “free” citizens economically.
However, don’t talk about labour rights, rights to affordable housing, rights to a job, rights to affordable public healthcare, rights to free public education, etc,
Ghadaffi provided these rights to his people and the NATO imperialists had to remove him militarily with the aid of dissidents on the ground.
