Happy Chinese New Year: Let’s all Malaysian Chinese unite as One Dragon

Happy Chinese New Year, 2012. Its the year of the water dragon.

Its the most important celebration for majority of  seven-and-a-quarter Malaysians of Chinese ethnic for any year. Its the time where the family gathers for the CNY eve dinner and stand united as a family unit.

The next few days are for the remaining Malaysians to stand united as a nation, visit their Chinese friends and associates, to wish them well and have a feast, usually in laughter and the most joyous ambience for a multiethnic and plural but united Malaysia. Malaysians, of different ethnic groups exchange mandarin oranges and pleasantries when they gather within these next few days.

Many corporations whose owners and management are Malaysian Chinese use this season to give away bonuses, popularly in the form of ‘ang pows’.

However, one particular minority Chinese leader who in the past 45 years tried to disrupt that harmony, understanding and unity between races, in his usual tone and brand of ‘politics of hatred’. His wish for the Malaysian Chinese in Twitterjaya:

“Let Malaysian Chinese unite as one Dragon…”?

Dragon is the mythical creature, which is the symbol of the Chinese Empire which has now long gone after the nationalists and after the communists took over, since the past 100 years. Mini Emperor Lim is trying to psyche Malaysians of Chinese ethnic, to re-enact the past of glory of the Chinese Empire here in this tanahair? Isn’t that undemocratic and against the flavour of the majority?

If that is not racism and Chinese Chauvinism, we are not sure what is. Does he and any of his cohorts and Chinese Chauvinist cohorts expect the majority not to react with direct messages like this?

  1. Happy Chinese New Year to you!

  2. “the majority not to react with direct messages like this?” Sure react one. In disgust.

The son of the “dynasty of the Little Emperor Lim” of the “Undemocratic Action Party” officiated the opening of a building named Sun Yat Sen in Penang. This shows he is “Sun Yat Sen First and Mainland China Second”, not Malaysia First and Chinese Second, as he claimed.

Malaysia is not in his calculation at all. This country is only to be exploited for whatever his dragon race can get out of it. Cakap tak serupa bikin punya orang.

Hati busuk and evil design even in their New Year message. How to have goodwill from, or with, these blokes?

  3. I recall seeing a photograph of a female PAS supporter carrying a DAP flag during the election campaign in the Sarawak State elections. Hmm..some Malays are so unstrategic in their thinking to the extent they can’t differentiate between maintaining their survival and helping others in killing their survival. Now, we hear of some Malays who are so obsessed with the opposition discourse would not think twice to say UMNO is a racist party. Why? Because they are too lazy to seek the epistemology that would challenge the BS seductions promised by the oppositions. The opposition strategy to discredit UMNO flows easily like opium into the unstrategic minds of some Malays. And the question is when will the unstrategic minds ever shake off their dull perceptions? To these unstrategic minds wake up. Learn the history and learn the constitution upon which this country are founded.

  4. Speeches from the Republican Party candidates seeking to be the candidate to challenge Obama, all quoted the upholding of the American Constitution when advocating their political platform. It shows the sanctity of a country’s founding Constitution. In Malaysia, we begin to see subtle questioning of our Constitution. It is like a gradual process of attrition by reinventing and revising history of the country, The lazy and unstrategic minds of some Malays will easily believe the revisionists who cloak their arguments using rights, liberalism and other BSism.

  5. Correction: ‘ helping some others ‘ not ‘ helping others’.

  6. Ingat ke dia orang ni Malaysia-firsters! Cakap tak serupa bikin.

  7. Those trying “reinventing and revising history of the country” are attempting to demean Ketuanan Melayu, like that which led to the 13 May 1969 race riots caused by them, which they want to delete from the history of this country. They are also trying to promote the so-called greatness of their kind.

Here is what has been written before about these people:

Chinese history claimed China as the “Middle Kingdom”, others around them, and even far away, as “barbaric and uncivilized”.

Those thinking theirs is a higher culture and others have a lower one must read what History Professor Wang Gung-Wu (formerly of Universiti Malaya, now in Singapore?) said in his essay “Early Ming Relations with S.E.Asia” pg. 36:

“ … All peoples who believed that they alone were civilized did so because they thought their neighbours less civilized than themselves. This view was often proved wrong by subsequent contact with other civilized peoples.”

Another academician, Albert Kolb, also pointed out in his book, “East Asia”, 1971,

“For a long time, it (Chinese culture) was taken to be older, and possibly also richer in original features, than in fact it is”. (Pg 25).

“Chinese culture cannot be thought of as originally Chinese “because the Chinese themselves emerged gradually as a blend of many races and peoples”. (Pg 26).

According to Professor Wolfram Eberhard, in his book “A History of China”, 1977, writings about ancient China were inventions of a later period, what were said to have been done by the Chinese rulers and the dates they were said to have been done appeared to be even later still. All these indicated that historical writings in China were meant to serve certain politico-ethical objectives.

These are the words Professor Eberhard himself wrote:

“Furthermore, we can now state with certainty that the historical data which were given in written documents for times down to 1,000 BC are false. They are the result of astronomical-astrological calculations, made by specialists of later times who pursued their own special political aims by doing these calculations”. (Pg 1).

  8. Even his CNY messages seem to be riddled with racist, chauvinistic undertones.

May be he wanted to provoked responses like “Lets all Malay unite as one DRAGON SLAYER and together with other Malaysian defend Putrajaya”

Anyway to all non-racist, non-chauvinist, law abiding, patriotic Malaysian of Chinese descent, Gong Xi Fa Chai. May this year of Black Water Dragon bring you good luck, health and prosperity.

  9. This is racist DAP hypocrites at their very best!!!!!

Instead of calling all Malaysians of all races to unite, this racist grandfather ask only Malaysian Chinese to unite….

even Chinese New Year also they politicise. Did these DAP morons ever ask all Malaysian Malays and Malaysian Indians to unite in the same manner as Malaysian Chinese during Hari Raya and Deepavali respectively?

the answer is NOPE, NEVER, because tthey are ULTRA RACIST HYPOCRITES!!!!

    • Its okay if they said it, but if others like Datuk Zaini of Utusan call for 1Melayu or for the Malay to unite, this very same old fart and his cohort start jumping up and down screaming ‘racist’ like theres no tomorrow.

      • You were given citizenship by the malays. Now you are throwing pig heads into mosques. How long do you think the malays can keep quiet? Dont you people ever learn how to be grateful?

  10. The Chinese may be the Dragons but Malays are the Dragon Lord. Sounds like the title of Merlin who is the Dragon Lord. He,he,he.
