Kepimpinan PM ‘Flip-Flop’ LEMBIK: Naib Ketua Pemuda Gerakan berani menyalahkan UMNO!

MACHANG 22 Dis.

Najib Tun Razak.

  1. Hi all,

Basically what the Gerakan Youth Paranjothy said was the truth behind the look good BN. BN especially UMNO have been widely using the racial card to gain the grassroot support. The BN is still immature even after 50 of formation is handling the racial sentiments because that is the only tool of their political survival.
There are many seditious type of speech delivered by UMNO delegates during the UMNO annual gathering and which some were directly condeming the BN componenent party, eg in the recent UMNO meeting, the delegate were chanting “Pecat Samy” as Samy earlier asked the Malaysian Indian to not to celebrate Deepavali as sign of mourning for the temple demolation in Klang.
What have UMNO did to their ppl ? Nothing but smile.
UMNO is filled with bunch of “Hypos”.
Who is Kerismuddin to talk abt Gerakan membership in BN ? He is just the youth leader. Did he practise the so called ” close door” meeting within family ?

The current BN government is going from bad to worse. They cant be hiding all the issue under the carpet. The impact can be seen now as all the rotten worms are popping up from the component parties.

This is the second Gerakan leader whom openly critized the UMNO lead governement on the marginalization of Indians.

There are more to come as BN is reaching their breaking point soon.
    Thx

Semasa Hishammudin menghulurkan keris kontotnya dulu pernahkah dia memikirkan tentang sensitiviti masyarakat bukan Melayu.
Kalu nak tunjuk anak jantan setakat menyalak di hadapan putri UMNO tu,orang kata berani pondan!

U can do better than that…Hisham!!

    cheers.

  3. engkau pu sama lah brader!

  4. What’s the problem, keris? UMNO is itself a racist and apartheid practising party. It draws its strength based on its ketuanan, NEP, hak khas istimewa, and race discriminatory policies as regards employment in Government service, scholarships and other GLC’s, issuing of licences, awarding of contracts/supplies, etc. etc.(all the discriminatory practices have been listed down umpteen times before).

So how dare you demand for any explanation from Gerakan? Tak Malu, ka??

  5. It’s very clear that solidarity within the BN components is rotting. Once too often frictions and misunderstanding have taken place and the latest is Paranjorthy’s scandulous statement against UMNO for being responsible for the Indians dilemma. Of late the Indians are very brazen and active in whipping up emotions and they are very provocative.

Hishamuddin blew his top and exposed his immaturity and unstatesmanlike character. He should have demanded Paranjorthy to outline in greater detail his allegations and compare them to the official figures as disclosed by Samy Vellu himself, that the par capita income of the Indians in general are far more better then the Melayu. Is that due to they having been marginalised?

Paranjorthy is not expected to be alone in this action for he could be part of a bigger agenda and strategy either in preparation for the coming General Elections, as for something to bargain for, or that the Indians most of whom are actually more affluent are demanding for a better position forgetting of course the “1957 Bargain” where the Malays gave in to allow others to be citizens but that “others” have yet to reciprocate on equal terms.

The authorities must be firm and positive in their counter action and not to allow the politicians to interfere – for security is the unenviable responsibility of those security practitioners in the PDRM. The PDRM in turn hopefully will strongly and dearly hold to its age old principle that in their service the nation comes first. They must have the guts to hold on to this principle. Otherwise with the flip flop PM and if he PDRM follow suit then chaos and mayhem will be the end result.

Paranjorthy must be made to see the other side of the coin!

  6. Hishamuddin….aku tengok muka hang pun takut..macam katon pun ada…inikan nak pi perang…aku tabik kat pemuda pembangkang…ada semangat juang.

  7. Encik.dzulman, within the UMNO controlled BN what other side of the coin you want Para to see? We all will see what UMNO want us to see. When ordinalry people took to the street to protest the unequal treatment you arrest them under ISA saying they are terrorists, now a leader from ruling party saying the same thing, so it must be true what!
Notwithstanding with what politic agenda Para has in mind, what he said were true. Atleast he has the guts to say it out loud.
Where does Samy got these figures anyway?

  8. Dzulman,

Explain to me exactly how should 3rd and 4th generation non bumiputra Malaysians respond in being told they are supposed to reciprocate the ‘1957 bargain’ when said bargain involves placing special status on one race in a manner that essentially downgrades their citizenship in the only home they have?

HINDRAF may be misguided in it’s demands, but it’s spirit is representative of what many non-bumiputra’s feel today, that we deserve equal status and rights in this Malaysian society. Why is that too much to ask? We have all lived here and contributed to this country for almost a century now… it’s the only country we have.

Poverty exist in every ethnic group in this country, per capita income is nothing more than a statistic, there are very many urban poor Indians and even Chinese, and affording an advantage to one group over the others is not helpful to their situation, for this succeeds in prioritizing many elite rich bumiputra’s who are in no need of governmental support.

Balance is desperately needed, Malaysia needs to wake up this. Emphasizing race does nothing but drive a wedge between us. We are all Malaysian first, Malay, Chinese, Iban, Kadazan,Indian or Lain-lain later.

Our current government, it’s policies and the ridiculous posturing of some of our leaders(especially by the Umno Youth section) does us a GREAT disservice in the long run. Paranjothy wasn’t too far off.

  9. I think the political situation is chaotic and the leaders and their deputies, both BN and the opposition parties do not know how to handle the uprising political crisis, left, right and center. It’s a matter of power over might as most leaders and all the “bodek members” are afraid to express their opinions.

Personally, I also have lots of empathies for our beloved Tun Dr. Mahathir, not too wise a decision to have given up his political power and national leadership. No leaders however smart and good will remain in power indefinitely, but will have to exit his/her office in the corridor of power. This phenomenal happenings are being reflected all over the world!

The truth will prevail and in the end of the political roadshow which is hot, hot, hot now, let Almighty God decides. We can plan but God disposes and all of us from various religious belief and background should strongly hold to this divine principle.

Politically, whether UMNO, MCA, ,MIC, GERAKAN, PPP AND OTHERS THINK THEY ARE GOING ON THE RIGHT PATH TO REACH THE RIGHT DESTINATION FOR THEIR ANTICIPATED VICTORIES IN THE UPCOMING GE, IF THERE IS TO BE ONE BEFORE MID 2009, Ha,Ha,Ha.No comments on the opposition lots as they are playing with fire that will eventually destroyed their dreams of seeking political and economic power in this country, which is now faced with all kinds of natural calamities. An act of God????????

May God in whatever form have mercy on us and pardoned our sins in preparation eternity or the next destination hereafter. ameen.

  10. On another serious tone, as a senior citizen born long before Merdeka in 1957 and having gone through numerous froms of racial disharmony since the early 60s, i.e. Indonesian confrontation in 1963 and May 13, 1969 episodes, I wish to appeal all of you out there to come to your senses and adopt positive and constructive measures that can reunite the people again.

As we go on to prepare for the 12th General Election, if any God permits, let us restraint our emotions in expressing our thoughts and feelings openly without any consideration for possible retaliation from others, who share the political power and national wealth of this beautiful country, now going to the rocks.

In a netshell, we are facing complexed human issues and behaviours in order to preserve our own terms in the name of human rights. This turn of event that had implicated political, economic, religious and social issues and differences amongst all Malaysians for the sake of seeking and perpetuating power will continue endless without any resolutions, if our leaders and security enforcement agencies are unable to contain and sustain peace and security on a long term basis.

I feel that all the leaders and the nation in general, should not talk about the anticipated upcoming general elections, in view of our current sufferings of the rakyat caused by the floods and other calamities, etc.
Political differences should be kept under lock and key.
There are just too many demands from the people from all walks of life and organisations, irrespective of their legitimate claims or otherwise. In the meantime, cost of living and other basic social amenities are going upwards sky rock and will be difficult to control and curtail, event with the best practices and governance by the government.

Now I do envy my loved ones whom I have left behind overseas, but being too nationalistic and patriotic in all my life as a government servant, Malaysia is where I belong and no way will I be buried in a foreign land when the time comes for me to say goodbye.

To all my fellow Malaysian, especially our political leaders, I appeal for your right senses to come up with the desired options in order to resolve our problems and differences, even if we have to use ISA and back to Megeran administration during the crucial times faced by late Tun Razak as a legitimate modus operandi, to save our people living in poverty and fear in this blessed country called MALAYSIA.

Please act before it’s too late and don’t wait until the time bomb explodes! Good luck to all Malaysians and look forward to a better year in 2008.

  11. UMNO! UMNO!
    zaman sekarang,
    tak boleh ditegur,
    tak boleh ditentang.

    Fikirannya pendek,
    bertambahlah bangang,
    membikin hati menjadi berang….

(sedutan lagu klasik; “Nona Nona Zaman Sekarang” )

  12. This UMNO founder Jaafar Onn is not even a malay. he was a turkish migrant who take chance and live in malaysia with his family.

you tell me one umno leader who was a malay! this badawi or bodowi or badowah is anak orang cina. this mahatir or mamaktir was anak orang kaka not mamak. kaka are tamil muslim from kerala in india. mahatir’s father was a tamil shool teacher.

this razak was a bugis, this tunku was anak siamese. so which umno leader was melayu tulen?

So habis, this umno, bumiputra and ketuanan melayu is all a scam. Ni cara nak habiskan our natural resources in malaysia. Sampai si pemimpin umno sendiri simpan duit curian dia kat luar negeri macam si mat2 tu.

ni zam is a mamak, sharizat is a mamak, ni patail is anak orang gujerati dari india. yang mana tu melayu ni? cis.

  13. I too have seen and lived thru the many challenges faced by the nation from its formative years right up to the present moment,50 years in all. I have had great hope that nation building, difficult as it is,would be realized given the commitment of a goverment that is guided by the constitution, the RUKUN NEGARA,Vision 2020 and holding on to the promises of a Caring Society.Sadly my hope have become more elusive day by day as events, past and present, unfold and took away my confidence that there is a national agenda that would unite the various races and make this a truly great country second to none in terms of cultural and religious acceptance by all.I am angry that the causes of serious racial and religious intolerance are due to the utterances of politicians who play the racial card to cling their position.Given the nature of realpolitik of this country all political parties are guilty in varying degree.UMNO politicians especially must do some soul searching if they really want the other races to look upon the party as one that can lead the nation forward, founded on policies which are just and fair to one and all.At the present, power has blurred their senses and blinded them to the fact that the non malays have contributed to build this country and their blood and sweat had make it possible for Malaysia to survive the Japanese occupation,Indonesia Confrontation and the armed communist insurgency.Locking up those who are brave and patriotic enough to take their concern for the country well being to the street do not alter the fact that unless the government LISTEN to her people and address their fear and aspiration this government will loose touch and loose support of those who would have continued to stick with it.How long more can UMNO continue to promote Ketuanan Melayu and the Malay Agenda and mute the others to submission?

  14. From my observation, only two things will come out of this:
    1. The Malays will come together at the most opportune time for UMNO.
    2. UMNO and Malay grassroots will quickly lose confidence in the leadership of Abdullah Badawi for allowing the situation to reach this level, ie. UMNO being the punching bag for disgruntled ethnic groups who are unhappy with the way their ethnic leaders are screwing them, and members of component parties who want to turn into instant heroes.

I have been a strong critic of Hishammuddin lately but he is finally (better late than never) realizing his role as an UMNO and BN Youth Leader. He has cornered the Gerakan leadership to respond on a Sunday and that’s leadership material. UMNO has stupidly refused to accept that while DAP is the opposition in exile, Gerakan has been and still is the opposition in residence at the expense of MCA who have been a true ally in the spirit of the National Front. It is time we reward those who are true comrades and cut out our enemies from within who are like gangrene which is spreading quickly within the Front.

This is strike two for Gerakan. The first one being the EXCO member from Penang who was not reprimanded by the party for siding with Hindraf.

Ironically, the third strike for Gerakan if it happens could also be the last strike for the Prime Minister as President of UMNO, if severe action isn’t constituted against them.

  15. […] Malaysia menyiarkan laporan bahawa Naib Ketua Pemuda Gerakan S. Paranjothy yang diselar kerana membuat kenyataan liar dan melulu, kerana menyalahkan UMNO kerana masalah sosial rakyat Malaysia etnik India dan menyinggung pelbagai pihak, tidak berasa […]

  16. From http://malaysiamind.blogspot.com/2007/12/where-was-s-paranjothy-wrong.html

    Where was S Paranjothy wrong?

Malaysiakini published an article a few days ago in which Gerakan’s Deputy Youth Chief S Paranjothy took task UMNO leaders, namely UMNO Youth Chief Hishamuddin Hussein and his deputy Khairy Jamaluddin, for using racially sensitive issues to elicit political support from their Malay constitutencies. Since the publication of Paranjothy’s remarks, the now-ostracized youth leader has come under constant attack from both kow towing Gerakan leaders and UMNO leaders who find his remarks far too challenging to their death grip on Barisan Nasional. Paranjothy merely pointed out the obvious and stated what so many others cannot find the integrity to say themselves. He vocally supported uniting all the BN parties into one single, non-race based party. Is that so bad? Only if one wants to continue to differentiate citizens based on race– continue to create multiple classes of citizens — and only if one wants to prove Paranjothy’s statements correct.

If he was wrong– let’s see the truth. Did Khairy not say that other BN parties would take advantage of a weakened UMNO? Did the keris waving Hisham not cause a turmoil among other BN component parties? Did Khairy not disparage Indian newspaper delivery groups at last month’s UMNO General Assembly? Did UMNO not ignore the Deepavali holiday and plan its 2007 General Assembly to fall on the principal Hindu holiday of the year? Did the Government of Malaysia not create a double standard by allowing UMNO/BN youth to hold demonstrations but refuse to allow other groups to do likewise? If he was wrong in any of these things, show it now. If not, he should be applauded not alienated. So show us where he was wrong, or GET OFF HIS BACK!

  17. Dear Satya Arjunan,

You asked: “Paranjothy merely pointed out the obvious and stated what so many others cannot find the integrity to say themselves. He vocally supported uniting all the BN parties into one single, non-race based party. Is that so bad?”

Please read your own question aloud and tell me whether you may think this is workable in a country such as ours. Don’t just blurt out something just for the sake of change. Running a country like Malaysia is not a trial and error thing like cooking in your kitchen. Do you think that people in power in a non-racial party would suddenly cease to get the best for his race? DO you honestly think they will do that? Are you naive?

Take a look at the corporate sector. The Chinese banks and what not will have their own people in the top level jobs, likewise MAXIS and Astro will employ more Indians. Malay owned banks have the Chinese to run it because they have no confidence in their own. Only Petronas gives its own a chance to excel.

Paranjothy wants a united one party non-racial politics because it’s easier to blame others instead of Indian leaders who have forsaken their own people. That is why he is barking up the wrong trees by blaming Hishammuddin and Khairy when he should be blaming Samy Vellu and Kayveas instead.

I can understand if it were the Chinese who were asking for a one party system since they excell in most areas in politics and the economy, but an Indian small time leader asking for this is like putting Indian necks on the chopping block.

You asked: “Did Khairy not say that other BN parties would take advantage of a weakened UMNO?”

I ask you. Is there no truth in what Khairy said? Is this not evidence enough for you that a small time coochi from Gerakan is trying to take advantage of UMNO to gain popularity amongst losers who get cheap thrills out of open pot shots on UMNO like you?

You continued: “Did the keris waving Hisham not cause a turmoil among other BN component parties?

The keris is a Malay weapon used to defend oneself. It was used as a symbol and is a part of the UMNO flag. If BN component parties want to lose their minds over it, it’s their problem. What makes you think outside forces have the power to dictate what UMNO members do in their caucus?

“Did Khairy not disparage Indian newspaper delivery groups at last month’s UMNO General Assembly?”

He was merely asking the Malays to also dwell in that market so that it isn’t monopolized by any one group paralyzing it during the festive season observed by that one group. If you are so impressed by Jothy’s suggestion to integrate, why are you so upset about other races tapping into an industry controlled by the Indians? Do you want to have the cake and eat it too?

“Did UMNO not ignore the Deepavali holiday and plan its 2007 General Assembly to fall on the principal Hindu holiday of the year? “

The UMNO members dressed up on Deepavali eve and celebrated it with Samy Vellu at the Assembly. Samy didn’t look like he minded it. He even declared it was alright.

“Did the Government of Malaysia not create a double standard by allowing UMNO/BN youth to hold demonstrations but refuse to allow other groups to do likewise?”

Did the BN youths do something stupid like carry pictures of a foreign monarch and spiritual leader looking like drunken monkeys begging for outside participation in our sovereign land?

The govt was right in denying Hindraf the right to demonstrate because they wanted to preserve the dignity of Hindus in this country. They made fools of themselves and have succeeded in making the world see Malaysian Hindus as being master exaggerators and proven liars not to mention troublemakers. It is not fair to the other Hindu followers of this nation.

Satya, you are blinded by your eagerness and fascination for David against Goliath that you wish not to see Jothy’s wrong which is staring you stark naked in the face.

If you are a team player, you do not defy your team-mates in the field. You do it in the dressing room during half time and either iron it out or opt to leave the team. By trying to score an own goal in the second half, you look not only like a traitor but a loser when you’re supposed to score at the other end instead.

Naturally, being a supporter of the opposing team, you’d applaud him for doing that because your team is comprised of impotent strikers shooting blanks.

  18. I’m from a younger generation of post-Merdeka Malaysians. The way I see it (or wish to see it) there is a silver lining amidst the dark clouds smothering our beloved country now. The recent turn of events has somehow jolted the Malaysian public from its stupor; awakened the patriotism we never knew we had. Just like human individuals, no society is free from predicaments and tests. The point is, for us to LOOK and REMEMBER our lessons from these experiences, and SEARCH for the gem of wisdom within. I believe our country and our people will emerge stronger and wiser than ever. 2020 here we come!
