Dear Members,

I am pleased to inform members that, at short notice, the Bar Council is hosting a dinner sponsored by the Government on Thursday, 17 April 2008, where the Prime Minister Dato’ Seri Abdullah Haji Ahmad Badawi will deliver a special address entitled “Delivering Justice, Renewing Trust“.

The judges from the 1988 judicial crisis or their family members will be present. Other invited guests include the retired judges, senior members of the judiciary, members of the Bar such as past Office Bearers, Committee and State Bar Committee members, civil society organisations and diplomatic corps.

There is available to all other members 100 places which will be given out on a first-come-first-served basis.

As places are limited, we regret that the invitation does not extend to members’ spouses. If you register, please ensure you can attend.
