A doctor in the house?

“A doctor in the house” is one of the most comforting statement for any dwellers, anywhere. Even in moving vessels, that statement give a lot of comfort if not relief. Especially when there is an emergency.

There is one special doctor who had given Malaysia and Malaysians a lot of comfort in the last 30 years.

This afternoon, will be the unveiling of the much sought after memoir in the country. If the blog could be the most successful, then 850 pager is expected to be a hit. Please form a bee line at your nearest major bookstore particularly the MPH starting from 1000am tomorrow onwards.

Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad launching his memoir, "A doctor in the house"

Fourth Prime Minister Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad launched his much awaited memoir at Mid Valley Mega Mall at 330pm in a simple ceremony. He did not give any speech but instead took questions from the floor, of invitees which include the media.

“I am a doctor and always a doctor. I did not have any training in economics, finance or administration. But when you have to attend to the nation’s ills, its like a doctor’s job”.

His message is very clear. “I am a common man. Any common man could do what I did. We just need to strive our best”.

There would be some critics and worse of all, haters after this memoir hits the shelves. However, majority of Malaysians still openly willing to demonstrate their respect if not love for him, in the open despite that he has left the office of the Prime Minister seven and a half years ago.

The sort of audience and response that he gets whenever he speaks attracted very encouraging attendance. His blog is by-far attracts 1 million hits every 15 days. So far today alone, MPH already sold 5,000 copies of the memoir and reported to be sold out. It is expected that the book would be very popular to the majority.

In short, Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad is very inspirational to many Malaysians. He is also popular all over the world.
