May God bless all of us

Muslims are ordered by Allah Almighty to maintain respect with “People of the Book”, meaning Christians and Jews, as it is a fundamental belief that the Torah and Injil (Old Testament and New Testament) respectively are Divinely revealed books from the Lord of Heavens for mankind’s life in this temporal state.

We unequivocally state that this is our belief system to the point that even Churches and other places of worship should be respected by Muslims, and that priests and sages should similarly be respected.

This respect comes from love between mankind as brethren under one Lord, who has no compare. As all men are created equal under God, and creation stems from God, so thus must we respect every living soul as having been given the Divine breath.

Within the Malay-Muslim context, this is demonstrated by the very foundations of UMNO that championed the cause of Islam, particularly within the Malay community. Therefore, to take care of a sacrosanct constitution in pluralism of race and culture, a natural balance was evolved in the form of Barisan Nasional.

It is indeed refreshing and welcoming that Christians pray to their Lord who is one God (Mark 12:13) for Divine Intervention over matters of the state. In fact, we wholly insist on this being perpetuated as it leads to a stronger faith and reliance on the Divine Countenance and Mercy being also the hallmark of Muslims.

Let us also make this clear, all Muslims would surrender their life and limb for the love of the Son of Mary (peace be upon him) as God Almighty has declared him our Messiah for the end of times, and like his great ancestor Adam, was immaculately conceived, with the addition of the fact that both Adam and Eve (peace be upon them both) also did not have a biological mother.

We therefore beseech the Christian community, what was maintained as an issue was the Pastors’ pledge to bring a “Christian” Prime Minister to Malaysia and perhaps turn Christianity into an official religion. Would this DAP sponsored event not give bullets and lend credence to PAS’s drive for an Islamic state? Secularism of the constitution in emplacing Islam as the “official” religion is in fact a mainstay against encroachment of any religious group purportedly using religion for political prowess. Through conflict of religion, world wars are fought and borders are redrawn.

Surely, it would have been most appropriate being People of the Book, for the pastors to have made a pledge and prayer instead for the Prime Minister of Malaysia, to be “Godly” or “rabbaniyun” irrespective of religion to respect the spirit of democracy that they claim to be their hallmark. Further, it would have also helped if the prayer was made for the PM to be rightly guided. Surely as God-fearing people, they should have done this instead of blatantly dismissing the population in majority, who are obviously Malay Muslims happy with the present arrangement.

Congratulations to UMNO for the 65th anniversary today.

  1. Well said and Amen. Our politicians should be God-fearing and has love and kindness for all fellow Malaysians. For Christians, the Bible’s teaching has always been to love one another and your neighbour as yourself so that by this shall all men know that you are my christians. In the end, there is no “you”, no “they” and no “them”; there is only “us” and “we”.

    • All religions teach mankind to do the good and avoid the bad. Even Atheism or the non-belief in God subscribes to that.

But throughout history mankind has tended to be bad. Wars, conquests, rebellions, conflicts, unrest and political upheaval of all sorts have filled up the pages of history books. We have to do better. Do and pray better.

It used to be Kings, Emperors, Rulers and Despots causing wars and conflicts. Then militarists and madmen, like in Japan and Germany during World War II. Followed by power grabbing and coup d’ etat in Africa, Bahamas, Latin America after that. Finally politicians came to the fore in causing wars in Afghanistan, Iraq and elsewhere.

Thank God we don’t have wars in this country, except for the short period of undeclared war called Confrontation by Indonesia in the early 60s. But we had hell of a time with decades of suffering during the Communist insurgency. And the very scary race riots of 1969 which we all must avoid at all cost.

And by all means let’s discuss how we can do better. Do better than in the past, pray better than in the past.

  2. Salam Bro,
Thank you for appealing for peace in line with the faith of the people of the book. I am not sure what you mean by Mark 12: 13, a misquote perhaps? Please allow to quote your last paragraph:

“Surely, it would have been most appropriate being People of the Book, for the pastors to have made a pledge and prayer instead for the Prime Minister of Malaysia, to be “Godly” or “rabbaniyun” irrespective of religion to respect the spirit of democracy that they claim to be their hallmark. Further, it would have also helped if the prayer was made for the PM to be rightly guided. Surely as God-fearing people, they should have done this instead of blatantly dismissing the population in majority, who are obviously Malay Muslims happy with the present arrangement.”

As a Christian, I am pleased to inform you that in most of our prayer meetings whenever we pray for our beloved nation Malaysia it is to ask God to bless the King, the PM and his cabinet that they might be God fearing and be making just and right decisions that are guided by the Almighty.

Never have we ever pray that the government be ruled by Christians. Even with faith we are not so dumb as to believe that could ever happen in Malaysia. How can it be possible with a happy majority Malay Muslim? You are right, it is impossible. Furthermore how can we ever dismiss or ignore the majority?

That meeting you blogged on was a “Unashamedly Ethical Seminar” urging Christian leaders, professionals and business-people to fear God and be ethical in all our dealings. I am sure you as a Muslim will welcome that as we all want a corruption-free nation for the better of all Malaysians. We do pray for non believers who join us in those meetings, as evidenced in the photo you posted. We pray that they will come to know and fear God too.

Peace to you bro. Do not let our good intention rob you of your peace.

    Salam.

    • I thought the pastors were high-fiving each other.

      • Haha, they would do hi-5s and group hug too if it is appropriate to do so.

      • Group hug totally inappropriate if they were in a meeting held by PKR. No, they don’t have guns in their pockets, they’re just… happy.

      • So luckily it was DAP and not PKR? Phew.

      • Unless DAP is backing PKR, so phew too…

      • Haha, we are letting our innuendoes running ahead of us.

So you think the Christians can take over Malaysia? I don’t.

      • Andak

They should not let PKR back DAP. Possible dire consequences.

      • M Chen

I don’t think so, too. So long as every body else thinks so, too. In- or off- hotel do.

I think we can have some light banter here. To break the spell from the serious atmosphere. So long as BD does not get angry ..er.

      • Haba,
Alright, as long as BD allows it, we will be amused with ourselves here at PKR and DAP and PAS or UMNO (oops) or MCA or MIC.

      • “So you think the Christians can take over Malaysia?”

It’s a similar question as “You think a black man can become President of the US?”

It’s how you package it. If you package it as “Change. Yes we can” then everybody wants change or wanting to LOOK like they want change. Everybody wants to be considered as dynamic.

Everybody needs the good things in life: self-satisfaction by getting married, have a stable job, a house, a car, kids, then onto religion and contributing to society. It’s the Maslow hierarchy of needs.

So if a party can tap into these needs, then they can get something from everybody. A party doesn’t necessarily need to become religious, it only needs to POTRAY or LABEL that it is the religious choice. It’s the package.

Legal people will say “Oh, Islam is so deeply entrenched in the Constitution that it is impossible”, I can say the same thing about Royal immunity.

If you have the majority’s backing, you can do anything to the Constitution. You can even discard it if you package the act as “for the advancement of Malaysia”.

PAS in the other hand, can say “oh, the Constitution is a relic of colonial past, let’s discard it for the advancement of Islam” and if they have the majority backing, they can discard it. Keyword is majority backing.

But the majority is not always right. To quote the Men in Black “A PERSON is smart. PEOPLE are dumb, panicky dangerous animals.”

The Majlis Raja-raja or YDPA cannot even veto this type of amendment. PAS and PKR to protect Islam? Please, they don’t have the legal might to fend off Uncle Lim and Uncle Karpal. They had the able Zul Noordin and a panel made of Christian activists kicked him out. PAS have Aziz Bari now but they’re kicking him as we speak.

Christians can take over Malaysia? Christians doesn’t have to become PM to takeover Malaysia. They don’t hold the top post in PKR but still can get Zul Noordin kicked out.

      • Andak @ 14:24,

        I disagree.

My Professor once told me theory always differs from practice.

Too sensitive to discuss. Let me just say the majority Muslims will not allow it.

It has already been said somewhere that in Fiji the immigrant forms the majority, won the General Elections a few years ago but could not rule the country. The Army grabbed power and ruled by decrees.

As I said, too sensitive to talk about that kind of situation here. I’ll stay clear. Don’t mind joining in the jokes and a little laughter here.

      • I think I know what you’re thinking of, but let me add this: Muslims don’t like DAP at all but still many voted for it.

      • @Andak,
To change the constitution two third majority is needed. Not a simple majority.

Well Tun Mahatir changed the constitution many times when he had the 2/3 majority.

For a Christian or a non Muslim to become the PM? It will never happen in our life time lah.

      • Bro Chen, if you have 2/3 majority, you WILL do it.

And PAS won’t have the legal might to say no to you.

      • Bro Andak,
How can anyone ever imagine anyone else but the Malays to be in the majority? If they have the majority how can the non ever get the 2/3 majority? Even if all the nons are to vote DAP/PAS they will never have the 2/3 majority. Very simple arithmetic lah. And why would the majority Malay MPs want to change the constitution to their own disadvantage? Not logical.

As I said there is no way it will ever happen in Malaysia. Not ever.

      • How can anyone ever imagine anyone else but the Malays to be in the majority?
        – In Sarawak, population of Chinese is greater than Malays but they are in danger of not having a single rep in the state govt.: because they didn’t vote for BN, and BN won.

It’s not a case of majority in population, but majority in the House.

If they have the majority how can the non ever get the 2/3 majority?
        – 1st: If majority of Malay Parliamentary candidates are from UMNO and they lose, then the majority is split. 2nd: If Malay PAS, PKR is indeed the majority MPs, but they don’t have the legal might or quality to counter DAP, then their votings will be greatly influenced by the DAP caliphs.

Even if all the nons are to vote DAP/PAS they will never have the 2/3 majority.
        – If even PAS/PKR Malay MPs vote according to DAP’s wants, then you don’t need to count the nons’ votes.

And why would the majority Malay MPs want to change the constitution to their own disadvantage?
        – They want to be seen as dynamic?
        “Change. Yes we can”?
        “Ubah”?
        “Saya berfikiran terbuka”?
Just like I said, it’s how you package it. If you package voting against Royal immunity as “voting for justice”, then even the Royals will vote for it.

      • You said: In Sarawak, population of Chinese is greater than Malays but they are in danger of not having a single rep in the state govt.: because they didn’t vote for BN, and BN won.
I say: Does not make any difference in Sarawak to the majority in the house does it? We are talking about the fear of Malays that the nons can be having 2/3. So you see it cannot happen and I will maintain that it will never happen.

I think you give too much credence and power and capability to DAP. From what I see they have not usurp Selangor. Penang they have not become dictatorial. Kedah & Kelantan? PAS rules right?

        – They want to be seen as dynamic?
        “Change. Yes we can”?
        “Ubah”?
        “Saya berfikiran terbuka”?

There is no evidence for Ubah or Change. Yes we can or terbuka.

      • You two run the risk of being conscripted into the relevant party’s strategic planning task force to do a dry or wet run in the coming weeks or months.

I’m only interested to see how dry or wet they’d be, guys. I wanted to say I’m only here for the beer (British TV commercial) but am scared of the Muslimah PAS who might clobber me here.

      • Chen,

PAS is very powerful in the Malay realm because they hold the mosques. Malays have a tradition of not questioning religious teachers, so they are basically immune in the Malay world.

        But outside of it?

I’ve seen PAS said that they are in it to uphold Hudud, yet when DAP said “no”, PAS conveniently discarded this ideal just before PRU 2008.

I’ve seen PAS cheered for CJ Tun Ahmad Fairuz, and then jeered him in a matter of three months when Bar Council did the walk.

I’ve seen PAS became the biggest opponent of Communists and then becomes one of the biggest sympathizer of Communists.

I’ve seen PAS became the biggest opponent of the Church and then visits the Church.

      • Nono: NoBeerNo

Andak: Ok so if PAS wins over half the Malays but then they will become ultra Malay. PKR will disappear in the next GE. DAP will over the nons and become Ultra Non. PAS and DAP will split.

        BN wins again.

      • @ Andak,

Even if you do not understand the gesture, or if it is not your way of worshipping, there is no need to be disrespectful with your comments. Referring here specifically to the “high-fiving each other” That’s just not called for.

      • Chen 17:17,

Hopefully BN will win because polarization of political parties based on religion is a very dangerous thing.

      • tiredofhypocrites 19:21,

Brother, please ask the pastors to pray for me:

“O Allah, grant Andak the strength and freedom and joy to high-five his companions without the fear of getting persecuted.”

      • Andak, I cannot see the possibility of BN losing at all. Maybe they may not have the two third majority and that for me is not a bad thing. We need check and balance for the good of Malaysia and Malaysians.

    • M Chen,

Your 2nd and 3rd paragraphs are very good. Your 4th para would also be very good if what transpired at the meeting was just as you said it was. Hopefully the Police investigation will show that, If so, we’ll move on. If not, we’ll leave it to the Ministry of Home Affairs.

But I must say BD’s post above is excellent.

      • This is the organiser fb:
        https://www.facebook.com/pages/Unashamedly-Ethical/110515919004500

I hope the Police will make an open report on what they find. We cannot move on until Utusan becomes accountable to what it report otherwise it can inflame sectarian anger. Newspaper owes the public an element of professionalism by investigating rather than publish without evidence.

Blogs like BD and Marahku maybe excused?

  3. “Congratulations to UMNO for the 65th anniversary today.”

Certainly this refers to the older altruistic UMNO that we dearly cherished and which have sincerely worked for the betterment of the Malays. Unfortunately this UMNO has died along the way.

That said, inevitable that humans keep on evolving, for better or worse.

    • Pray tell me how a dead man can celebrate his birthday? WHich UMNO died along the way? Are you still not happy? Ask not what UMNO can do for you but ask what can you do for UMNO……

      • UMNO ditubuhkan pada tahun 1946. Diisytiharkan sebagai pertubuhan yg haram pada tahun 1987. Dr Mahathir kemudiannya menubuhkan UMNO (Baru). Menjadi ahli 0000001. Kalau UMNO berumur 65 tahun camana Dr Mahathir dapat menjadi ahli 00000001 sedangkan Dato Onn Bin Jaafar yg menjadi pengasas UMNO?

      • Kok Lanas,
Kalau mu nak bagi Allahyarham Dato Onn Jaafar dan mana-mana ahli UMNO yang dah meninggal dunia, silakan.

Saudara tahu sejarah UMNO. Saya kurang faham mengapa saudara boleh memberi soalan yang sebegini…

    • punk5terung is a punk. His name says so. So, carry on UMNO.

      • punk5terung, are you looking to tap into Muslimah PAS’s fondness for punk bands…

I want to be a vocalist for Carburetor Dung.

      • Hahaha, Andak. This one I’ll join. I’ll strum the bass lah.

Almost typed base pulak. Anwar would have jumped at that.

      • Anwar, jumping? Oh, no… Muslimah PAS will PASS out happily from the sight of Anwar’s Calvin Klein…

      • Lucky they go for the Calvin Klein, bro. If for the what in the video … ooops.

But I haven’t said anything censorable there, have I? Often the fault lies not in the idea but in the interpretation.

      • They’ll just do a PC and show two different pictures to prove that Anwar’s is beefier than… no, no, no this is too tasteless already.

No Tok Aziz only needs to say that it’s not Anwar’s eventhough he haven’t seen the video. No need PC. Tok Aziz knows his anatomy.

  4. maybe a little late here to discus this thing, about the transform Malaysia into.. you know. Hope can share something.

    http://couverv.blogspot.com/2011/05/kristian-agama-rasmi-2-sejarah-kasar.html

  5. Msians shld unite 2compete rest of world. Y 2yrs Najib’s 1Msia slogan we r more divided – all bcos of rhetoric of hate/lies by Umno/Utusan? Anyway congratulations to UMNO for the 23th Anniversary. Sorry bro, UMNO BARU

    • This fellow sure has a skewed mind. Perhaps squint eyes, too?

  6. I believe the quote you are looking for is Mark 12:29, where Jesus says, “Hear O Israel, our Lord God is One”….we understand how you misquoted, different versions, ie King James, Gideons, International Version etc., differs one verse to another in numbering and layout…

    • The chapters and verses are all the same, no matter which translation is used. If I may add, it is translations, not versions.

      • Sorry M Chen, I believe you are correct.

  7. Hope DAP know what the meaning of being Malaysian this time , we dont need they racism . Look what happen in Sarawak racism and religious hatred brought by DAP is pure hellish in the state happily form by many religions in a family . And also Chinese newspaper and DAP altogether are always questioned about Malay and Islam in Malaysia .

    • “Look what happen in Sarawak racism and religious hatred brought by DAP is pure hellish in the state happily form by many religions in a family”

Can justify? Can show us posters/news articles/etc that DAP did that in Sarawak?

      • Cannot because DAP gave talks about unity and 1 Malaysia.

      • I remember the blog “My Anger, it may be yours too” showed a banner by DAP that says ‘in solidarity with the Christians”.

This blog even showed a video of a young chinese ah moi stuttering in broken sentences while refering to her notes as she campaigned under DAP ticket. She won.

And maybe that is why this blog was hacked.

  8. No, no, don’t try to be huggable again, BigDog. They are still carrying rakes and spades, remember? You think they don’t hunt teddy bears ah?

Selamat Hari UMNO dan selamat bersidang kepada Bahagian-bahagian di seluruh negara.

    • Hahahaha

      Thanks.

I know they don’t. I am alright if they continuously hate me.

Things are never what it seemed, at the retina via the lenses. As Billy Joel said it in ‘River of Dreams’, “It can only be seen, by the eyes of the blind, in the middle of the night”.

      • Yes I agree with Andak,

“No, no, don’t try to be huggable again, BigDog”. Let them be aware that we are watching…

One of your previuos postings attracted 262 fantastic comments.

PAPA GOMO, eat your heart out.

      • Or by eyes that are squinted to the left yet trying to look to the right.

      • BD,

Life is too short to hate, it’s just not worth it.

Going by the Star’s report below, what does that make your blog posting? Didn’t Utusan base its article in part on your blog posting?

        http://www.thestar.com.my/news/story.asp?file=/2011/5/12/nation/20110512181540&sec=nation

I know you have your reasons and beliefs for making the earlier posting, but, are you still harping on a “pledge” that no one but you seems to know about?

I’m still waiting for the results of the police investigation for conclusive proof either way.

  9. penakut, bacul. dah buat fitnah sembunyi tangan…manusia macam ni pun ada

    • Tangan dia besar sangat, besar tengkuk orang, jadi dia terpaksa sembunyikan kat belakang awak.

Jangan takut dia bukan orang PKR.

      • Haha, good one, Master Andak.

      • Memang dia bukan PKR. Dia anjing besar SB.

  10. Peace be upon you

In 1968 to 1969 , I came to know and lived with the popular expressions , ” love not war , love love me do , all you need is love and make peace not war ” in my two years of inland journey to no destination but of destiny . It was the time of the flower people where Hippie culture at its apex . We assembled in Katmandu , Nepal . Katmandu became the hub for the Hippies . The philosophy ‘ of running away from the Western technology ( the plastic world ) to the Eastern thinking ‘ emerged as the core cognition of that era . Escapism was the meaning .

I hoarded the commandments that Allah loves those who do good , pure , clean , righteous , trust Allah , perseveringly and patient . Above all , it is an obedience to Allah .

In India , I encountered Hinduism . It teaches one should give up selfishness in love , not expecting in return . And for the Sikhs religion , ” True Love is the Highest Stage of Spiritual Perfection ” .

My experiences with the Jews , they taught me loving-kindness with affection and compassion . Love is viewed , “And you shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your might.”

These expressions of love are still ringing in my ears and have been my guiding principles living in a conducive multi-cultural societies of ours . The key to peace and harmony , is our understanding and not to be ignorant of each other religious value of love and commandments . Peace will be upon us .

    • Very good preaching, brother. Hope those concerned hear you.

    • Ini Catholic boy scout mana ni yang Father Murphy Pakiam hantar nih… Father, please entertain us lah don’t be like this…

      …or are you SIB…

  11. Christians and Jews never recognise Muslims as ‘people of the book’. Nowhere mentioned in the Bibles (New or old Testament) that Islam is a continuance of the Moses and Jesus’s teaching.

ONLY MUSLIM TERHEGEH-HEGEH WANTING TO JOIN THE JEWS AND CHRISTIANS, LIKE MALAY PROVERB “HIDUNG TAK MANCUNG, PIPI PULAK TERSORONG-SORONG”.

    • Young Malay Muslims crave validation. They want to get to say “Tengok, orang Cina, India pun sokong aku.”

They go to a Mamak and suddenly their Bahasa Melayu become Bahasa Melamak. “Mamak, belakang itu teh tarik, kasi gula kurang.”

It’s a problem with self esteem.

      • And saying sorry tak habis habis.

Blogger Sakmongkol has been called the Malay apologist. Yet there are others yang sekongkol dengan dia. Of course Sakmongkol would like to sekongkol dengan Khairy Oxford setongkol.

      • Forget to say to Mae earlier –

Waaah Mae, you put out jual mahal comment, ha? Keluar pepatah Melayu to sindir Muslims. In capital letters, too, ha.

Jangan itu maciam lah ah moi. Kita bikin baik baik lah. Kalau atak olang mau baik sama lu, jangan juan mahat lah.

Kena ingat Muslim boleh kawin ampat. Mana tau lu jadi no belapa ka lanti satu hali?

Pssst Tuan Andak, don malah gua ciakap maciam ah moi lah, ok blader? Gua pun mau tumpang jok jok la.

      • Mae: gua punya.

        Azizah: lu punya.

        Kawtim?

    • Muslims do not need validation from Christians or Jews. God Almighty Himself has validated Islam meaning submission to the will of God by beginning the one true way with Adam, culminating with Muhammad.

On that Day of Reckoning when no man shall avail himself, ye shall know the truth, and the truth is the Lord himself, all Holy Unknowable Essence and Creator. God be great and to Him belongs the universes, and all that is seen and unseen.

by Him who has your soul, understand that God sent 124,000 prophets to mankind since Adam, 313 of them being Messengers with 25 ranking highest, amongst them Adam, Noah, Enoch, Abraham, Isaac, Ishmael, Jacob, Joseph, Moses, David, Solomon, Jesus (pronounced ISA) with Muhammad being the final messenger because Jesus’s mission was cut short and Allah had to take him back to His Presence to return as Messiah.

The Bible in John 14:16 is an apt description of Muhammad, as Jesus himself spoke about him on many occasions and made public prayers for Muhammad’s coming. In the Council of Nice in 200AD, the Gospel of Barnabas (one of the apostles) was removed from the New Testament because it was too explicit, and in it’s ARAMAIC form, had mentioned the name Muhammad in at least 5 different places.

So, MAE, don’t be so insecure. Muslims know much more about the “Christian” prophets and know their lives in great detail.

      • Only thing is the Christians have a problem believing an Arab, was chosen as the last of the Prophets. Because the Arabs were so barbaric.

They still like to fight each other. In Arab League summit, one leader will call another ‘dog’. When the Dubai emirate incurred heavy debt, the Abu Dhabi emirate will donate $10 billion in sarcasm.

That’s why the British recipe of Muslim-lead, Muslim-majority, multi-racial nation didn’t work in Palestine.

      • actually no.John 14:16 was not about Muhammad.

6 Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. 7 If you really know me, you will know[b] my Father as well. From now on, you do know him and have seen him.”

In fact if anything it was Jesus establishing the fact that He was God.

You may need to know a little bit more I’m afraid. Little knowledge is a dangerous…you know the drill

      • My apologies..typo..meant to type John 14:6.

      • Oh sorry..

15 “If you love me, keep my commands. 16 And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever— 17 the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be[c] in you.

John 14:16 is talking about the Holy Spirit so yeah still not about Muhammad.

      • Monotheist

Were you at the Council of Nice ?? The Gospel Of Barnabas was written in the 14th century by…. a Muslim ! If he were alive today, he’ll be a VP of UMNO. Wakaakka

      • The Arabs are no longer very clever like they were during the 500 years of Muslim Glory 7th-13th Century. You see, they have not the culling pocess that the Jews had, carried out by Adolf Hitler during World War II.

Saying this is not being racist. Merely stating the facts of history.

And the smart Jews that remained continued their extremely selfish and grab, grab, grab
thinking. The Hollywood Jews churned out so many films portraying the plight of the Jews
until the damn beautiful damsel Elizabeth Taylor (recently deceased) to convert to Judaism purely out of pity for the Jews – she said so herself.

Before that the British allowed the Jews to settle in Palestine which was administered by the British since the end of World War I. And other Jews and neo-cons in the US twisted Hary Truman’s arm to recognize the state of Israel when the Zionists unilaterally declared its existence. And the Israel Lobby grew and grew until it acquired “unmatched political power”, according two Professors who wrote about them not long after the Iraq War.

Considering Singapore has Jews as Advisers in their Armed Forces etc, and the DAP was born out of PAP when in Malaysia 1963-65, hopefully the Jews have no hand in the unhealthy state of inter-religious affairs in the country for some time now.

      • Abu, remember when you go to Umrah or Haji, Arabs were so kasar, the Saudi police will just bash them with batons to get them in order.

They are not gentle people at all.

That’s why it’s a miracle when Arabs brought the gentle teachings of Islam to the Malay peninsular and to the rest of the world.

      • Malays are FAR more accomodating Muslims than Arabs, yet still Christian idealists want more. Come on.

      • Setuju. Itu sebab kita jangan apologtik tak habis habis, kata orang macam Sakmongkol sekongkol.

      • Stefan,

You obviously haven’t read a bible in it’s original language. I feel sorry then because many things get lost in translation. The Greek term “parakletos” used in John 14:16 is translated into the Arabic bible as Ahmad, the root word of Muhammad. Ahmad is the First Light of creation and from this light was created all other things. God remains firmly on a pedestal as He is Too Great for the mind to comprehend. You must then leave your mind and seek out the light within, and there you will find your Jesus, a big chunk of the Light of Ahmad (if light had chunks). God? Well, again, God is Light upon Light. So in order to get to light upon light you must first traverse the first light. Therefore, Muhammad is the Messenger of God, and there is no god but God, unknown in essence but bountiful in His Names and Attributes.

You are free to believe as you wish. You skipped a few lines in John 14:16 onwards though…Jesus is talking about another personality confirming what Jesus brought (this spirit of truth)… “he will tell you what I have said unto you and tell you things to come..” so is Jesus talking about himself….certainly not….Jesus never had an ego….and by placing him on the same pedestal as God, you make him feel shy in front of his Lord, as Jesus was, or rather still is most humble servant and Messiah to God Almighty

      • EXPOSE

Council of Nice…yup, was decked out in my Sunday best…which one was you…..

The Gospel of Barnabas was not the only Aramaic text to be excluded from the Bible, have you forgotten about the Scrolls of Qumran, also in Aramaic. But no, they had to play out that script from Rice and Lloyd-Weber’s JC Superstar when the Pharisees sang “This Jesus must Die”….

In the Epistle of Paul to the Corinthians, you find Jesus commanding Saint Barnabas to the Greeks to correct Paul’s teachings (errr, Paul had messed up slightly and in his zeal to establish the Faith, dismissed the Law of circumcision and the eating of swine – this was a problem that had to be corrected as the Abrahamic ways were made Laws through the Torah) This is why Muslims practice circumcision and do not eat the flesh of swine. I’m digressing, sorry.

Anyway, if Jesus sent Barnabas to correct Paul’s teachings on his master’s command, then I wonder what we call those Holy commands flowing from the mouth of Jesus to Barnabas if not a Gospel.

So a bunch of die hard cronies meet to shred evidence, alas, they could not shred everything because the Word of God is in fact protected by God. Guess the cronies to the old Pagan Gods and Satan’s misleading could not nullify all the evidence and it’s still there in the Bible today, an order to Barnabas to correct the teachings of Paul.

So all you Pseudo Christians, we want to know why you tak sunat and makan babi, if you claim to follow the way of the Messiah?

      • AH HAAA, John 14:16 ? Muslim wants to interprete bible, that ‘Muhammad’ is referred in the bible ? Who knows better about bible, Muslim or Christians ? Christians say John 14:16 is not about Muhammad. Again, this is a proof that muslims really HIDUNG TAK MANCUNG, PIPI MASIH TERSORONG-SORONG.

    • Mae @ 8.34

      1. Don’t be a shallow dimwit.
      2. A user of OS version 3.0 will have no problems navigating around version 2.0, but would in fact scream out inadequacies.
      3. I’m beginning to think this might be the only peribahasa you know.
      4. For most, the upgrade of OS from version 2.0 to 3.0 is free, but for you, it would cost an ego.
      5. It is not important what you or I say, nor the Muslims or the Christians, but what God says….

      • What God say ? Where in the bible stating that Muslim is the people of the book ?

equating christian/islam like a software upgrade is uselessly simplistic.

You know other proverb ? Mention it.

  12. I’m sure you wouldn’t like anyone dictating what you pray in your doa right? Likewise, for the sake of unity, please try to refrain from commenting on other religions – be it Christianity or Buddhism or Hinduism – in a way that will definitely cause an uproar in a multiracial society like ours.

No matter what you write in subsequent blog posts, it does not excuse the thoughtlessness you displayed in your earlier post about Christians in Penang. Please be more considerate in future. Lucky for you no one brought up the issue of sedition.

    • PPP can or not (Pecah Perut Prayer)?

  13. Saya begitu terharu membaca nukilan Big Dog. Hampir nak ternangis tetapi saya dah agak dah, inilah percubaan untuk menyelamatkan diri dari dikenakan sebarang tindakan.

Kalau dahulu, Big Dog menyeru polis mengambil tindakan terhadap DAP diatas Akta Hasutan, Akta Dadah Berbahaya, Akta Ikut Suka Aku. Kalau ada mereka yg membaca blog Big Dog, mungkin mereka merasakan ianya blog Pendakwa Raya (Bhg. Politik UMNO) kerana tuan punya blog nampaknya sekadan dapat menggerakkan siasatan terhadap siapa siapa yg dikatakan “Ungrateful Dan Disobedient Malaysians”.

Tetapi hari dah berubah dah. Siap tunjuk gambar Tun Dr. Mahathir.

Kalau kita nak kenakan tindakan keatas Big Dog, kita kenakan tindakan terhadap Tun Dr Mahathir kerana mengajar pengikutnya menimbulkan ketegangan diantara kaum.

      • Yyeah ………!, I totally agreed with you ‘Andak’ this Kok Lanas must be dreeming or actually he is not aware of his surrounding.

        What a pity !.

    • Dr. Mahathir is upset with BigDog for his earlier posting, I can assure you that Tun M will not protect BigDog’s inaccurate posting if it was indeed inaccurate.

      • Kenapa cakap mcm itu? BD mengikut rentak TDM.

      • Hah, antara depa pun dah berhentam. Biaq pi la.

    • Apa pun, saya senang hati sikit tengok Kok Lanas sekarang ada beri penerangan sikit. Tak mengutuk 1-2 baris saja macam dulu.

Boleh setuju ke apa dia cakap? Kalau Mahkamah kata Anwar tak sodok Saiful Sodomy II, atau Polis kata itu video seks bukan Anwar, aku akan fikir lagi apa Kok Lanas cakap. Sebab dia sokong Anwar sampai mati.

Sekarang cuma aku ketawa dia kata bukan aku, bukan aku, bukan aku saja.

Tak off topic sangat rasanya ni. Nak komen atas komen Kok Lanas.

    • If that is the case, Big Dog is under the explicit guardian of TDM, then he is having an empirical impunity from all the wrongs and above all the law in the Country, is that right. If it is right, then something is wrong with the Law and Order in the Country, with 2 makeshift system for the blue eyes boys and the punching bags jokers in the street. Cannot Be !!!!!

  14. nada dah lain bro..?lain kali sahkan lah dulu betul2 sebelum tuduh..lu da buat satu malaysia kecoh..x kan demi nak bg org melayu benci dap n nak tarik sokongan melayu pada umno..lu sanggup perjudikan keamanan negara..,pikir dulu sebelum buat dol..

    • Agree with chot 110%

      • No wonder you all are seldom right. No such thing as exceeding 100% lah.

        Haba Haba.

      • Again Kok Lanas is dreeming …..!, I tink he is suffering from acute denying syndrom, which many Malaysian had nowadays and it’s serious phycological problem especialy among the Malay comunity.

    • Kok Lanas,

Esok siap masuk muka depan Utusan Melayu he he he.

  16. You are coward!

Fight KJ back fren… stand on your words…

    • Wowie, sibok dipejabat, balik rumah baru sempat baca KJ kutok kao2.

Apa maksud beliau “worst of the worst”? Byk lg blog sampah on the web.

      Wbgpun, KJ patut tembak UM.

RPK kata BD ni intelligent. Intelligent kat mane tak tau; setakat boleh tulis dlm B Inggeris bole ditakrif intelligent?

Wbgpun, artikel ni pun “much ado bout nothing”. Pertemuan Det dgn Pope cerita lama. Orang2 besar dan kenamaan Islam dan Kristian saling bertemu2 semenjak 1,400 tahun dahulu. Apa yg baru?

      • packman

Balik rumah rehat dulu cukup2 lah baru masuk sini.

BD bukan cakap pasal Che Det jumpa Pope, dia cakap pasal orang Islam dan Kristian.

KJ? Sape dia? Tak dengar pun. Dulu ada dengar satu orang konfem salah politik wang tapi dapat jadi Ketua Pemuda tak tau macam mana, Pastu tak ada dengar. Tak dapat jawatan ke dia?

Sape peduli dia tembak UM ke hape ke?

      • This article has got nothing to do with Det or the Pope, so I wonder how the picture posted is relevant to BD’s olive branch. It seems to have confused this bloke.

Nice picture anyway. Will the Christians find it in their hearts to forgive Mahathir? They constantly promulgate forgiveness as a virtue but hentam Det every chance they got.

Can’t everyone just live and let live. It’s the End of Times already and we Malaysians are a bunch of over politicized, sex deprived, holier than thou mob that needs a good kick in the behind. We love the EPL more than Malaysia Cup so forget nationalism already and go with global citizenry.

      • monotheist

You may have some clout talking to the DAP. Talk to them lah. They are the trouble makers. If not in this case, in so many cases before. I wanna dream of a life without them, la.

    • Aku baru je habis baca “serangan” YB Hj. Khairy ke atas Big Dog. Panas dan ‘brtual’ seakan BD telah dikenakan “Peoples Elbow’ (KJ main watak The Rock(

Aku rasa nasib BD seperti kapal Titanik. Terkena kejutan elektrik kerana memainkan isu ugama. Dikhianati oleh kawan .Dipulau oleh bloggers UMNO, ditinggalkan oleh Tun dan direnjam oleh lawannya.

Harap pengkomentar kat sini masih setia bersamamu.

  18. LOL. Watch out for those unsolicited, unattended, small stray dogs, unfed, skinny, small dogs, biting and ravaging mad.

  19. You memalukan UMNO saja!

  20. Good that you toned down and did some damage control. Jangan menyusahkan UMNO dan BN lagi. Tak pasal2 orang lain susah. Baru grassroot nak kembalikan sokongan melayu dan rakyat jelata kepada UMNO/BN, kamu rosakkan segalanya. Think before you blog, and dont be counter-productive. MEnyusahkan UMNO sahaja

    • Agreed 110% with JavaJive

      • Korang tak faham BD nak tunjukkan kerekter DAP eksploitasi agama Kristian untuk tujuan politiknya.

Atau korang gulungan PR cium kentot DAP pun bau wangi.

  21. Fuck you, anjing besar!

  22. You fucking hypocrite. You think you can get away with this nonsense? You will rot in hell, you bastard.

    • You are a good Christian.

      • No, not at all. I’m your worst fucking nightmare.

      • You are a Christian’s nightmare.

      • Support you, Andak.

    • Which part was nonsense? Pray tell, we wish to know too….

  23. Kids learn hate at Afghan mosque

Kabul, Afghanistan (CNN) — The Muslim call to prayer echoes through a poor neighborhood, stirring the faithful. Men shuffle into a tiny mud-and-straw-brick mosque nestled among houses down a dirt lane.

And they bring their sons, clutching tattered copies of the Quran, for lessons in hate at a religious school in Kabul, Afghanistan’s capital.

Outside, day is just breaking. Inside, the boys’ heads are bowed. Some clutch prayer beads, as they recite the verses of their holy book.

Slowly the boys fall into a trance-like rhythm, rocking ever harder back and forth. Over and over they will do this, hour after hour.

“There is no God but Allah,” they chant.

It is a scene repeated day after day, as it has for centuries. The boys are following a path set by their fathers and their fathers before them.

For many this is their whole world, a world of God and family.

The men, after a time, peel away to whatever work they have in a country that has been crippled by war and poverty.

The boys remain. Their numbers swell and fill the tiny mosque that now becomes a madrassa — a religious school.

Their imam — or teacher — arrives. A short man with a long beard and piercing gaze, he soon has the boys in his sway. He points and scolds, urging the boys to chant ever louder.

Some begin to beat their chests with fierce devotion. In this way, the imam says the boys will come to memorize the Quran until they can repeat the verses by heart.

“A child is like a tree, it will give fruit. When children come to see me I train them the right way,” he tells me.

That way is the way of strict sharia law.

    • No where in this comment do I find a grain of hatred being sown, nevertheless, I do agree that Afghanistan is a problem for so long as they hold Wahhabism as a faith instead of al-Islam. You can thank the chief architect of this program, the CIA and their man who is probably still lurking somewhere around, Tim Osman.

    • Kids lost their childhood innocence in CHURCHES.

The Catholic sex abuse cases are a series of ongoing investigations into adjudicated sex crimes committed by Catholic priests and members of religious orders as well as unadjudicated allegations.

These cases began receiving public attention beginning in the mid-1980s. The attention led to criminal prosecutions of the abusers and to civil lawsuits against the church’s dioceses and parishes where abuse was alleged to have occurred.

Sexual abuse of minors in the priesthood has received significant media attention in Canada, Ireland, the United States, the United Kingdom, Mexico, Belgium, France, and Germany, while cases have been reported throughout the world.

In addition to cases of actual abuse, much of the scandal has focused around members of the Catholic hierarchy who did not report abuse allegations to the civil authorities and who, in many cases, reassigned the offenders to other locations where the alleged predators continued to have contact with minors and had opportunities to continue to sexually abuse children.

In defending their actions, some bishops and psychiatrists contended that the prevailing psychology of the times suggested that people could be cured of such behavior through counseling. Members of the church hierarchy have argued that media coverage has been excessive.

In response to the widening scandal, Pope John Paul II emphasized the spiritual nature of the offenses as well. He declared in 2001 that “a sin against the Sixth Commandment of the Decalogue by a cleric with a minor under 18 years of age is to be considered a grave sin, or delictum gravius.”

With the approval of the Vatican, the hierarchy of the church in the United States claimed to institute reforms to prevent future abuse including requiring background checks for Church employees and volunteers, while opposing extensions of the statutes of limitations in sex abuse cases.

      • Priests or not, they have to get married. It is submission to the natural way of life. Their abstinence in totality achieves nothing except warped and bizzare hyper sexuality. They should be able to get married and when they want to abstain, then fast or do a seclusion.

Jesus (peace be upon him) is returning as Messiah and will get married to fulfill his mission as King on earth. He will reveal the true way to the Divine, which has all been shattered across the monotheistic faiths today.

The Last Messenger and Beloved of God, Muhammad (peace be upon him) said that marriage is part of the faith, as with patience…

    • It is quite interesting to follow this blog with all it’s length and breadth. Precisely, I am of a concern to Mr. Big Dog a.k.a Zakhir Mohd.

Well, Bro, you had pull the tail of the tiger and it seem you are damned lucky in your star that a towering figure of Papa TDM Ched Det is giving you a blanket coverage of impunity and you are still safe and sound, far, far away from the hand of the Law, if that will be ever available in the far distance future for you.

I would really appreciate, if you can do something more holistic and explicitly perfect for the better relationship amongst all races in our multi culture Malaysian society, that is to practice tolerant and giving back to the society and stop all the hate and racially base nonsense, be they are the Malays against the Indian or Chinese and likewise as well. I am of an opinion, the more we are giving in, the more tolerant will be your opponent. That is a natural 2 way process.

We in Sarawak, are not having these type of sickness and it is really sad to see all these type of happening as the main headline in every news we have either in the telly or in the papers.

My advice to you Mr. Big Dog, get something else for a living and phase out all the evil that you have in your veins and brain and meanwhile do something beneficial for the overall Malaysian population not only for the Malays but that include the whole of the Malaysian masses to be more loving, caring and living in a more tolerant way toward each other.

Whenever one of our Malaysian brothers or sisters are having made a wrong toward each other, don’t go for their throat, but go for their thought and deeds. With that approached, I am sure you Mr. Big Dog will be worth every nickel that you are paid for, however it may be hard way to glory, but that is what will make you to prevail in your stride to the not far distance future.

With this Bro, my wish and thot are always with you forever.

      • I think this preaching from Orang Sarawak is meant for dap desperadoes.

      • Agree with you ray.

        Dear Orang Sarawak,

Appreciate your giving your views here. It’s for harmony, peace and prosperity that Big Dog writes his posts time and again. And you’d do much better if you would erase the thought that he is paid for. He has been here for years since the time bloggers came out hitting at the sleepy and auto-piloting Abdullah Badawai.

You need to address your views to DAP. Look at their history. Including their part in the Peninsular Malaysia race riots of 13 May 1969, which was was well documented. You can read about it just by googling the White Paper produced by the National Operations Council that administered the country during Emergency Rule imposed immediately after the outbreak of the race riots.

Now we hope and pray the DAP won’t do similar things. BD wrote about DAP appearing to politicise Christianity. One DAP Committee member has made a Police report confirming that the vow took place at the hotel meeting where Sarawak DAP members were invited. Read about it and give your views in BD’s latest post in this blog. As a regular here, I’d welcome you there.
