Walking in the winter wonderland, in Penang

Its really icy cold in DAP Penang, presently. On Christmas eve DAP Chairman Karpal Singh, who is one of the dysnaty leaders within the Opposition party is telling off Penang Deputy Chief Minister Prof Ramasamy to quit.

DAP’s Karpal Singh tells Ramasamy to quit as Penang dep CM II

GEORGE TOWN: DAP national chairman Karpal Singh has urged Penang Deputy Chief Minister II Dr P. Ramasamy to resign from his post for making serious allegations against party leaders.

“Dr Ramasamy’s position in the state government is no longer tenable because he had defied the decision of the party’s three-member committee not to refer the party’s internal problems to the press,” he said in a press conference on Saturday.

Karpal Singh said Dr Ramasamy had publicly disclosed allegations about party leaders and members without any basis.

He was referring to the report in The Star on Friday quoting Dr Ramasamy as saying his critics were plotting against him because he did not respond to their overtures for projects and favours.

“This is a serious allegation. Till now, Dr Ramasamy has not denied making the statement,” he said.

This call proven that there was never ‘democracy’ in the party, which calls itself Democratic Action. DAP is about near absolute autocracy. Tyrants run the party.

Penangites better get used to this. In the time being, these unusual coldness of the ‘seasonal greetings’, the DAP Godfather is telling the democratically elected ADUN Prof Ramasamy to quit Penang politics. This cold storm would be expected to get worse. Ramasamy’s supporters would eventually react.

Penangites should brace themselves for this ‘winter war front’. They don’t actually have a recourse in feuds like this. Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng, who is also DAP Secretary General would naturally side with Karpal Singh. The two Lim and Singh dynasty family within DAP would look out for each other. Its the pillar to their political survival, since the 80s.

This is not the first time there is a civil war in the party. Not long ago, M Kulasegaran was at arms against Ngeh-David Nga cousin-duo for the Perak DAP control and the party leadership decided for this youngest family dynasty within the party. Names like Hu Sepang, Wee Choo Keong, Lee Lam Thye, Dr Kua Kia Soong, Kerk Kim Hock fizzled into oblivion.

Let us remind Penangites their DAP elected representatives have started to apply land parcels for themselves, when they initially said they would never do so. There are ‘separate rules’ for migrant politicians being brought into Penang, just to strengthen the DAP ‘inner circle of the circus ring’.

This is Christmas gift for Penangites. Their politics is being screwed with the consent of their Johor Bahru born Chief Minister.
