LPF to decide on ‘Tanda Putera’

It was said that during Cabinet Meeting this morning, the decision to publicly screen Shuhaimi Baba’s ‘Tanda Putera’ rest on the censorship board (LPF).

Censorship board (LPF), which is an agency under Home Ministry, approved ‘Tanda Putera’ for PG13 certificate on 7 June 2012. It passed strict guidelines set for screening of movies, amongst other works in the electronic media, for public consumption.

So, how now Dato’ Seri Dr Rais Yatim Ph.D? Will the minister-in-charge for arts, archives, culture and media push for FINAS’s support to put ‘Tanda Putera’ back into the cinema screening queue for 13 September?

It is a much awaited and promised to be a blockbuster movie.

  1. Been wondering if the recommendation for screening to well after Hari Raya presumably by FINAS got udang di sebalik batu. Some financial consideration offered by those whose reels are to be screened during Hari Raya.

Sorry, but the looks of the FINAS fella in the photo put out in the previous post create some doubt in that respect on my part. Ok, ok, cannot tell by looks. But still wondering.

  2. I sincerely hope this film will gross more than the traitor Namewee’s Nasi Lemak 2.0. Jom tengok ramai-ramai.
