Eve of Hari Raya lie

Liar extraordinaire

In the midst of his own party and opposition coalition losing credibility,  integrity and confidence from the common public and now what seems to be a desperate attempt to earn support from the sympathy-tone game, Opposition Leader Anwar Ibrahim lied on the eve of Hari Raya Aidil Fitri 1433H. He ‘offered’ to quit politics.

Malaysia’s Anwar Ibrahim to retire if he loses next polls

Published on Aug 18, 2012

KUALA LUMPUR (AFP) – Malaysia’s opposition leader Anwar Ibrahim plans to end his 30-year political career if he fails to unseat Prime Minister Najib Razak at the next election, he said.

Mr Anwar was once deputy prime minister in the Barisan Nasional (National Front) government that has ruled Malaysia since independence 55 years ago, but has campaigned against it since his shock ouster in 1998.

Mr Najib must call national elections by June next year and many observers expect a tight contest after the ruling coalition suffered its worst showing ever at the last polls in 2008.

“I will try my best. I am confident we will win. But if not, I will step down,” Mr Anwar said on Friday night when taking part in a Google Hangout that was streamed live on YouTube.

****************

Malaysians must remember, this is one of Anwar Ibrahim’s series of lies. One after another.

This time four years ago, he promised the Opposition would take over the helm of Federal Government by or on 16 September. That was when the unholy-marriage-of-(in)covenience-between-backstabbing-strange-bedfellows was at its pinnacle. Now, they have lost a lot of grounds, credibility and even integrity.

6 MPs and 6 ADUNs from the Opposition side already left their party. They even lost Perak State Government on the eleventh month in power. Streams of party leaders and supporters left each of the Opposition component parties. That is not withstanding the internal turmoil each party had to manage.

Anwar Ibrahim would be the ‘gel’ factor that holds the Opposition coalition together. Without Anwar, PAS would not sit with DAP. Even in many quarters within PAS especially hardliners, they find PKR leaders to be repulsive and personalities not trustworthy. Of course,  issues of ‘Kalimah Allah’,  ‘cover up of Muslims prosetlyzation’ and dropping the quest for ‘Daulah Islamiah’ are serious breach of principles of struggle for these PAS hardcores. They see Anwar’s leadership compromised Islam. However, their staunch adherence to PAS leadership who is bent on Anwar, made them ‘reluctant soldiers of the cause’.

Malaysian public understand this fragile relationship between these parties conflicting of conflict ambition, cause, ideology and objectives. Anwar Ibrahim is the factor that binds these practically contradicting parties. Without Anwar Ibrahim, DAP would not have Haji Hadi Awang as Opposition Leader. Neither will PAS and PKR accept Lim Kit Siang or Karpal Singh to replace Anwar as the Supremo. Let alone, a Prime Minister. In all practicality, Pakatan Rakyat has no one acceptable enough to field as the Opposition Leader if and when Anwar Ibrahim is incapacitated.

Hence, this offer to quit is a actually a dramatized ‘political blackmail’ for voters to ensure that the Opposition doesn’t lose badly in the upcoming 13th general elections.

Our “Thirteen Million Ringgit Plus” question: Is this not another sordid drama from the Compulsive Liar?

Uncle Lim, What skeletons are you hiding?

Godfather of Chinese Chauvinist political agenda in the Malay Peninsular, 1967 till present day

They say the truth hurts. Some people are edgy about many finding out the truth because they have a dark secret statched in a closet or trunk somewhere, which they fear would be open and the ‘Pandora Box of Evils’ come haunting again.

‘Tanda Putera’, the film on the lives of Tun Abdul Razak Hussein and Tun Dr Ismail Abdul Rahman between May 1969 to January 1976 by acclaimed filmmaker Datin Paduka Shuhaimi Baba really hit on the controversy note to a handful of Malaysians. Particularly some minority band within the Malaysian Chinese, who are presently out to gain power by the same strategies they had since the 1960s.They were carrying out radicalism and anti-establishment subversive activities to topple the Federal Government then. They are still doing it now, but with slightly different ‘Politics of Hatred’ tactics.

Chinese Chauvinist Emperor Lim Kit Siang is flipping over a small posting in Facebook, with regards of him being arrested for denial of entry into Sabah when Dato’ Harris Salleh’s Berjaya Government was still in power in 1984.

Kit Siang: I was defamed on Tanda Putera’s Facebook page

By Ida Lim
August 16, 2012
Facebook screenshot of the alleged posting on Tanda Putera’s facebook page.

KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 16 —  DAP’s Lim Kit Siang today said he remains unconvinced with the explanation by the director of the controversial movie “Tanda Putera”, saying that he had been defamed on its official Facebook page. The film-maker Datin Paduka Shuhaimi Baba yesterday denied reports that the re-telling of the May 13, 1969 riots features a scene depicting Lim as having urinated at a flagpole of the then Selangor Mentri Besar Datuk Harun Idris’s residence.

Lim refuted Shuhaimi, claiming that a photo of him being “manhandled” with a caption saying he had urinated at the said flagpole “was posted in the album in the “Tanda Putera” Facebook titled “Peristiwa-peristiwa yang dimuatkan di dalam filem ini” (Events depicted in this movie).”

“Shuhaimi’s explanation that the creators of the film had received many photographs from netizens which were shared on the

Facebook page, including the offending picture, and that it was removed…after complaints were received about the photo, is neither credible nor acceptable,” Lim wrote in a statement today.

He claimed “the defamatory and baseless allegation…was made by Tanda Putera official Facebook page itself, and not a ‘shared information’ from netizens”, adding that this gave a “clear impression” that the photo was taken from the movie.

“Unless there is a satisfactory and adequate explanation or accounting for the defamatory reference featuring me in the Tanda Putera official Facebook page, I reserve the right to take legal action against such defamation.”

Lim slammed Shuhaimi for taking “almost four long weeks” to tell the public that he was “not even featured in the footage of the film” since reports of it first surfaced.

Lim alleged that Shuhaimi’s slow response had allowed “UMNO/Barisan Nasional (BN) cybertroopers” to accuse him of “provoking” the May 13 riots “based on the movie’s alleged “urination” episode.”

Lim stressed that he couldn’t have provoked the riots in the capital city as he “was simply not in Kuala Lumpur on May 11, 12 and 13 of 1969.”

“Even the photograph that was used in the movie’s earlier Facebook page was not a photograph taken in 1969 but was from a different incident in Sabah 15 years later in 1984.”

Lim said Shuhaimi should know that any “unfair…portrayal of the May 13 riots in…10 minutes is not only capable of overshadowing the rest of the 105 minutes of the film, but have the disastrous effect of dividing instead of uniting Malaysians,” said the Ipoh Timur MP.

“Do we want to continue to allow the May 13 past to haunt and divide Malaysians or do we want to move forward as one united people building a better and brighter future for all Malaysians, learning from the lessons of May 13?” he asked.

**************

That photo, which was posted by one of the commenters in the ‘Tanda Putera’ Facebook, was erred to state “Lim was arrested because he urinated at the flagpole”. It has been taken out since. That couldn’t be an issue anymore.

Those who have seen the film, agreed that it is a great depiction of what had happened before, during and most importantly, all decisions, planning, policies and implementation actions post 13 May 1969 racial riots. This include getting situation out of chaos into order and slowly bring it into normalcy and uniting all Malaysians together in the midst of ‘the wounds of the 13 May’.

The fact is that, the ’13 May’ bit of ‘Tanda Putera’ was based on the National Operation Council report.

Significant events within the period that happened and shaped the nation to what it is today, were portrayed. Like the 1971 great flood of Kuala Lumpur. The communist terrorists assassinations of IGP Tan Sri Abdul Rahman Salleh in June 1974, Perak CPO Tan Sri Khoo Chong Kong in November 1975 and the attempt on DSP Kulasingam, who was the CID man hunting down the killers of IGP, were depicted clearly on how brutal they were to gain power.

Other events include the trip Tun Razak made to China and starting a diplomatic relationship with the Superpower in Asia, the birth of Malaysia Airlines System (MAS) in October 1972 and the Second Prime Minister’s frequent visits to the rural areas and close monitoring the implementation of the New Economic Policy (NEP) as a tool to uplift socio-economic standing and narrowing the economic gap for the nation’s majority really made their mark.

A scene in a London flat where Tun Rahah and Dr Macpherson attending to Tun Razak, who is in pain

In between that, Shuhaimi also captured the imagination of her audience taken through the emotional tragedy of watching both Tun Razak and Tun Dr Ismail suffering from terminally illnesses and the two men confided with each other on their predicaments. Then for many Malaysians who are not conversant with history, came the shocking passing of Deputy Prime Minister Tun Dr Ismail due to massive heart attack when his own wife was admitted for miscarriage. To top it all, Prime Minister Tun Razak was in Ottawa, Canada attending the Commonwealth Head of Government Meeting. The Prime Minister was at lost as his closest partner in rebuilding Malaysia after the 13 May tragedy is now gone.

The last 20% of ‘Tanda Putera’ was the depiction of how Tun Razak suffered from advanced leukemia, going to London for the final round of treatment and tragically passed away without regaining his health even though he was very insistent that he needed to do more and much work still needed to be done. For many including yours truly, to be relived the experience of watching the Jalur Gemilang wrapped casket bearing the remains of the Prime Minister being taken out from Malaysia Airlines System’s B707 9M-MRC in Subang Airport, is unequivocally heart wrenching.

It is something all Malaysians need to watch and experience. Nothing in the film depicted any of the characters or connotes anyone who is supposed to be ‘Lim Kit Siang’.

Unless there are a group of minority Malaysians, especially have been up to no good trying to impose themselves using the most evil methods abusing the democracy and democratic process all these years to gain power such as continuously provoking the good nature and patience of the majority, manipulation and fabrication of facts and perpetuating a lie in their sordid strategy of ‘Politics of Hatred’.

In short, they have something really dark to hide. And they don’t want younger Malaysians to be made to realize who they actually are all these years and their agenda remained the same with minor adjustments to their strategy.

The fact is that neither Lim Kit Siang, his closest advisers, the web of media that constantly prop him and his agenda nor his party supporters actually saw the film ‘Tanda Putera’. Those who have watched the film, be it selected members from the media, randomly picked sampling from the younger Malaysian segments and even them are Opposition parties’ members, all agreed that ‘Tanda Putera’ was telling a story based on actual history. All loved it and agreed that all Malaysians should watch this.

Since Pesona Pictures already obtained a PG13 certificate from the Film Censorship Board on 13 June and now FINAS already slotted the film for 15 November public screening in the cinemas, we suggest Lim and all his cohorts of ‘minority imposing against the majority will’ pre-book the tickets and watch and experience it for themselves, before they start flipping around making baseless accusations. Just like what they are doing today, pre-empting which is suspiciously pointing that they have something really dark and evil to hide.

Just like this one, a speech he made early this year prompting that Malaysians are ready for a ‘revolution’ as a pre-cursor of post 13 GE.

Then, it is clearly he had been something up to no good then and still is, even after 45 years. Chinese Chauvinist DAP hands were deep into the 13 May tragedy.  Just like how DAP was insistent to demand that Communist Party of Malaya Secretary General Chin “Butcher of Malaya” Peng be allowed back and die at his birthplace in Sitiawan, Perak. The Min Yuens live within the pockets of modern and intellectual Malaysians today, in just different forms and approaches. However, the objective in the agenda is still the same.

Probably the agenda for the minority to over power the majority, be it by brutal force or manipulating the democratic process, remained the same. Hence, the ‘Pandora Box’ is about Lim Kit Siang, not ‘Tanda Putera’.

Scene in ‘Tanda Putera’ depicting the radicals and subversive elements instigating the Chinese to provoke the majority Malays, during the May 1969 GE

George Santayana’s immortal words, “Those who failed to learn from history are doomed to repeat the mistakes again”. ‘Tanda Putera’ is also about a dark Malaysian history which enabled steps be taken and policies implemented that shaped Malaysia to what it is today. It is also a very strong reminder that these agenda of ‘minority imposing against the will of the majority’ and ‘Politics of Hatred’ should no longer be allowed carry on.

It is obvious he has reasons to fear ‘Tanda Putera’. And all the pre-emptive strikes must come now before 15 November, when the majority of Malaysians especially the younger segments go and pay RM 10.00 (without the popcorn and drink) and understand what had Lim Kit Siang and his cohorts of Chinese Chauvinist movements all about and been up to these past 45 years.

Rais, where is the ’55 Merdeka’ celebrations official logo?

Today is 16 August. Until this morning, no one has seen the ’55 Years Merdeka’ celebrations official logo. Nor, has the campaign started. It is peculiar since in past years’ Merdeka celebrations, billboards are already up by this date.

When this amateurish ugly logo was first brought into public domain, the Minister for Information, Culture and Communications Dato’ Seri Utama Dr Rais Yatim, PhD who acts as the Chairman of Merdeka Celebrations Committee, was quick to deny that this is ‘the official logo’. This was his statement to the logo which drew so many flak, even from pro-Government new media practitioners:

No official logo for 55th Merdeka Day celebration — Rais

Posted on July 30, 2012, Monday

KUALA LUMPUR: Information, Communications and Culture Minister Datuk Seri Dr Rais Yatim explained yesterday that no official logo is being used for the 55th Merdeka Day celebration this year except for the 1Malaysia logo, as was the case last year.

He said the theme for this year’s Merdeka Day celebration was ‘55 Tahun Merdeka Janji Ditepati’ (55 Years of Independence, Promises Fulfilled).

“The artwork used by some quarters so far is just an additional display material and not the official logo,” he said in a statement.

Rais said there would be other promotional material for display for the Aug 31 Merdeka Day and Sept 16 Malaysia Day celebrations.

Some quarters are questioning the reason for the use of a 55th Merdeka Day logo which, they claimed, had no quality in terms of art and was merely a combination of the 1Malaysia logo, the national flag and the theme for this year’s celebration. — Bernama

********************

This makes the issue more perculiar. Since Prime Minister Dato’ Seri Mohd. Najib Tun Razak’s tour around the nation on his ‘Jelajah Janji DiTepati’ meeting-the-rakyat sessions since April, all deemed successful and feedbacks have been very encouraging. It is only natural that the ’55 Years Merdeka’ celebrations is ‘punchier’. Hoever, it is not. It was said that the ’55 Years Merdeka’ lackluster issue was brought to the attention of Prime Minister Najib and a decision was made.

Practically, there are only 5-6 working days left before the Hari Kemerdekaan two Fridays from tomorrow. That is not withstanding that the whole of next week, practically all agencies are running on half optimum capability at best, due to Hari Raya Aidil Fitri which is coming on Sunday and school holidays. Even the Non Malays are on holiday mood.

Minister-in-charge of Communications, Information & Culture Dato’ Seri Utama Dr. Rais Yatim Ph.D

So Minister in-charge for the ‘Merdeka 55 Years’ celebrations Dato’ Seri Utama Dr Rais Yatim PhD, when can we expect to see this logo and celebrations campaign?

It was said that the Minister, who is also in charge of the arts, archives, culture and media was bent on not allowing the film about the lives of Tun Abdul Razak Hussein and Tun Dr Ismail A Rahman between May 1969 to January 1976, ‘Tanda Putera’, be screened at the cinemas before 13 GE. According to sources, his excuse is that some of the scenes may slight the Chinese even though Film Censorship Board already issued a PG13 certificate on 13 June.

51st Hari Merdeka celebrations

Annual Merdeka celebrations had always been the pride for the Federal Government’s effort to harness the spirit of patriotism, unity, togetherness and moving forward, as a process of nation building and followthrough of previous success. Now, cocking up ’55 Years Merdeka’ celebrations would effectively shame Prime Minister Dato’ Seri Mohd Najib Tun Razak’s administration in catestrophic proportion.

Wouldn’t it, Dr Rais?

Just for the Minister to size up, the ‘I choose Malaysia’ campaign is really good.

“Churches have special unit formed to proselytize Muslims”

Dato’ Dr Hassan Mohd Ali at the media conference announcing for Yayasan Murni Aqidah

“In Malaysia, Muslims are the toughest group for the churches to proselytize. So, they formed special unit to proselytize Muslims”.

That was the shocking revelation by JATI President YB Dato’ Dr Hassan Mohd Ali today, in a bukapuasa and terawih event to mark the anniversary of the ‘DUMC Raid’ on 3 August last year. Then, he was Selangor Exco in-charge for Religious Affairs. In JAIS’s operation on Damansara Utama Methodist Church (DUMC) codenamed ‘Ops Akidah’, they uncovered a ceremony to celebrate proselytized Muslims who have been baptized to the Christian faith. 12 persons were arrested although more, as many as 100 proselytized Muslims attended..

“I formed Unit Selamatkan Aqidah (USA) when I was still in Selangor State Government. We started to uncover more and more stories about Muslims being proselytized and even baptized. More and more of these people come forward to for caunseling. Alhamdulillah but we still need to do more”.

Dr Hassan was sacked from Selangor State Government in January. Three months earlier, HRH Sultan of Selangor issued a statement that there were evidence of prosetylization of Muslims At Damansara Utama Methodist Church in Section 13, Petaling Jaya on 3 August 2011. However, due to technicalities no one was charged for the offense.

In April after being in the wilderness to fight for the issues on why he was sacked, Dr Hassan formed an NGO JATI with the objective to preserve the three pillars of Malay-Muslim fundamental in Malaysia; Islam, Rulers and Malay customs and values. This evening, he announced that a foundation called Yayasan Murni Aqidah would be formed carry on the work of JATI and go the next phase.

Yayasan Murni Aqidah will do profiling on persons who already been prosetylised and baptized. A detailed study on the socio-economic background, surroundings and their environment will be carried out. It is a diagnosis phase. It is an extension to their existing work, via USA and JATI.

Then they would come to the prognosis stage where solution is being formulated, planned and executed. The next phase is to do proposals with the relevant authorities, NGOs and special interest groups for a strategic solution.

TV3 newswoman Azmah Dahari interviewing “Ellie”

In an interview with a transexual identified as “Elllie”, admitted that the church been supporting him for over ten years “They are very open to people with ‘special needs’ like me. They are very generous with us, including money. At least ten of us already came back to embrace Islam”.

In another interview with a social worker identified as “Kelly”, she admitted ‘The church has been providing for my group with money. They are very efficient with helping ‘people with special interests’, as oppose to Government agencies”. Kelly’s group consist of 400 Muslims who have been prosetylised in a suburban neighbour of Klang Valley.

‘Kelly” being interviewed

One of JATI’s activists said that the churches’ strategy is to have ‘Christian Malays’. They remain their identity and lifestyle as Malays, which include wearing the hijab and attending mosque and other social and religious events but very stealthy, they profess the teachings and fundamental faith of Christianity. “They are even taught tajwid, so that they could read and recite Al Quran properly. Otherwise, their cover is blown”.

“All these are uncovered after the ‘DUMC Raid’. They have pastors coming from abroad and masquerading as West Asian religious teachers. These pastors actually use the mosque to profess Christianity, guised as Islamic teachings. After prayers, they retreat to a quiet corner and do their teachings”.

During the Q & A, Dr Hassan asked PAS’s Council of Ulama (Syura Council) to bring the party back on the track for the struggle of Islam instead of compromise for the sake of politics and gaining power. “Syura Council must review the position of PAS within Pakatan Rakyat and go back to basics (struggle for Islam based on Al Quran and Hadith)”.

In another question, Dr Hassan said that DAP never admitted that Islam is the ‘Religion of the Federation of Malaysia’. “Instead, they refer Islam as ‘Official Religion’. It has a different connotation. Other religions could also be alleviated to be ‘alleviated’ as the ‘Official Religion’. PAS Syura Council must stress against this”.

That, was very much what they vowed to do at the hotel on Macalister Road in Penang on 5 May 2011.

“Phantom voters Vs Holy Ghost”

The reaction of what is priority to PAS leaders today as per Selangor PAS Commissioner Dr Abdul Rani Osman’s statement, according to former Selangor PAS Commissioner and Selangor Exco for Religious Affairs Dato’ Dr Hassan Md Ali. “The video of prosetylization is not important. PAS Selangor already received instructions from PAS Central to not entertain this case raised by him (Dr Hassan)”.

“This is what I meant ‘parasites’ within PAS. How could they treat this matter as ‘not important’! PAS has been derailed by these ‘parasites’!”.

The ADUN Gombak Setia also explained HRH Sultan of Selangor’s statement on the matter, issued last October, “HRH Sultan of Selangor did issue a titah statement that in DUMC’s case (August 2011), there was prosetylization of Muslims. However due to technicalities, it is insufficient for the case to be charged in court”.

“There shouldn’t be in any circumstance that Non Muslims attempt in any form what so ever to encourage a Muslim to denounce his or her faith. Selangor, we have specific Non Muslim Enactment (the name is long, so lets call it this for our purpose) which is inline to Article 11 (4) which prohibits protelyzation of Muslim. However when we (MAIS and JAIS) wanted to enforce, DAP and PKR stopped us”.

Watch this video:

Just for those thought they did not in any point of time over the last 12 months did not miss the plot (with regards to the protelyzation of Muslims in Damansara Utama Methodist Church, Section13, Petaling Jaya as per what JAIS uncovered on the evening of 3 August 2011), please watch these videos:

Judgment for rapist and sodomist

President Court of Appeal Tan Sri Md Raus Shariff

Yesterday, the nation was stunned when the Court of Appeal decided on the punishment in the defense of a child rapist. It was decided where a panel headed by the third most eminent presiding judge in a three-man bench. This case has already reached the Apex Court.

In January, the nation saw what seemed to be a compulsive sodomist walked free. The judgment got many baffled. Common subject over gourmet or local coffee or even teh tarik is now how would someone who has been raped try to get justice when DNA must be 101% proof.

Like Supremo Journo Datuk Nuraina stated clearly, the law does exist. However, how its being interpreted is erroneous and grossly unjust. The spirit on why these laws exist, has been ‘back stabbed’.

Last year, I saw with horror and dismay how the bench decided on my then 72 year old father made to pay a RM 200,000.00 with cost for a sum he already returned when he did what an honest man would do upon his business deal did not go through, five years earlier. It was very painful for a retiree. His legal bill alone was in multiple of tens of thousand Ringgit, to defend for a sum he already returned and could prove he for it.

How are we to move this nation forward with big plans when some of us started to doubt the judgment of the people who are supposed to be the point where recourse is sought?

Just a caution, more and more crafty and conniving persons manipulate and abuse the court and judicial process system. Situation is compounded when the Bar Council has since become ‘political’.

Limit of insulting the nation

Caricature of Zuikiflee Anwar Haque aka Zunar in Malaysiakini

There must be a limit of what could be politicized. In the ultra eagerness to win the hearts and support of Malaysian voters, the Opposition played the insult game.

Somehow rather, the Opposition deride and insult everything their neurons could come across. The Jalur Gemilang flag (by DAP assemblyman M Manoharan and PAS DAP-puppet-MB Nizar Jamaulddin), those who fought for the Jalur Gemilang, maintain law an order against bandits and even HRH Rulers, who are the symbol of custodian of the Constitution. Some of them even ‘sell’ verses of the Al Quran when they are actually ‘anti everything that is Islam’.

Zunar is a PKR supporter. So in Malaysiakini. They have problems drawing the boundaries of what they could do and what they shouldn’t do, as persons domicile in this nation.

This is very much reflective the attitude of the Opposition. They have no limit to draw attention in their ‘Politics of Hatred’ game to win power from the majority.
