Re-invigorating the 1 Malaysia ‘Transformation’

Soon to be Menteri Besar Kedah

Soon to be Menteri Besar Kedah

Late last evening Prime Minister Dato’ Sri Mohd. Najib Tun Razak confirmed an ‘open secret’ already taken as the presumption by Barisan Nasional’s tactical game change in this 13GE; If Barisan Nasional wins Kedah, Deputy Minister of International Trade and Industry Dato’ Paduka Mukhriz Mahathir is the new Menteri Besar.

Mukhriz is one of the four new generation of Menteri Besars in Prime Minister Najib’s first mandate from the rakyat, along with Perlis, Kelantan dan Selangor. Dato’ Idris Harun is expected to take over as the new Chief Minister for Melaka.

Lets say BN is bullish and Prime Minister Najib is able to take all State Governments in this 13GE. Five out of twelve State Governments is 40% change of leadership at state level. For the CEO of Malaysia Inc., that is a firm order that he wants to see changes.

That is effectively injecting the element of ‘game changing’ into moving the nation forward. The over all policy for these five states may remained the same. However, the delivery is now different. New and fresh leadership is a demonstration of Prime Minister Najib’s ‘Transformation in Leadership’ offer for the younger Malaysians.

In the case of Kedah, Mukhriz already has a plan. The economic cake would be expanded and allow for more opportunities to be churned and tapped into. As someone who was industrious in the private sector and the junior minister in charge of entrepreneur programs in MITI, Mukhriz’s masterplan for Kedah is a transformation of the state into a industrial based on top of the current rice bowl of Malaysia.

Mukhriz is expected to work really hard and make this mission a personal challenge. He has less than six and half years to make strategic moves and tactical changes to ensure that Kedah is ready to be counted as Malaysia moves into a ‘Developed Nation Status’, a policy laid down 22 years earlier by his own father in the ‘Vision 2020’.

It is about harnessing the best from new generation leaders and moving in forward with a new zest in the delivery of hopes. It is all about those who are capable, dynamic, energetic and inspired to make Prime Minister Najib’s ‘Transformation’ agenda work.

  1. Similar to DS Najib, Datuk Mukhriz needs a good team to manage Kedah effectively….

Saya, seperti ramai golongan professional lain percaya beliau bukan sahaja “the right man for the right job” untuk rakyat Kedah, tetapi akan turut mengembalikan kepercayaan rakyat Malaysia keseluruhannya terhadap kemampuan dan kejujuran UMNO/BN untuk berkhidmat kepada rakyat.

  3. Interesting, Anwar dah start “berdrama”.

  4. So, Ghani lost in Gelang Patah. Not surprising when help has been given to people who are aiming not for economic handouts which they already have plenty but looking for political power to power their command and control. And for the UMNO/ BN betrayers, good luck living under DAP for the next 5 years.

Well and good. Nevertheless Chavaunist Chinese must to be tought a lesson and made to pay for their act of promoting politic of hatred that causes deep division within Malaysian society.

I’ve said it before, we’ve defeated these group of extremist predecessor in their armed rebellion before and we defeated them again through ballot box just the same!

  6. Oh by the way, Anwar, start dusting off those old text books and your teaching’s resume..

  7. No, extremism is still alive and kicking. Some even thrive and were voted in in huge numbers such as Gelang Patah. Someone rightly pointed out that Zulkifli Nordin and Ibrahim Ali lost because they have no grassroot supporters in the constituenties they contested compared to their opponents.
