Ketua Eksekutif Kumpulan CIMB Nazir Razak dan Ketua Eksekutif Kumpulan Tune Tony Fernandes

Ketua Eksekutif Kumpulan CIMB Dato’ Seri Nazir Razak menyifatkan Ketua Eksekutif Air Asia X sebagai “Pemimpin Besar” kerana berani menyuarakan penentangan keatas  akhbar Utusan Malaysia dan NGO Melayu PERKASA.

CIMB’s Nazir praises Azran for criticising Utusan, Perkasa

KUALA LUMPUR (June 10): CIMB Group chief executive officer (CEO) Datuk Seri Nazir Razak today described the critical views of AirAsia X Bhd’s head honcho Azran Osman-Rani against Utusan Malaysia and Perkasa as “the hallmark of a great leader”.

At the prospectus launch of AirAsia X, Nazir said Azran’s act of speaking his mind made him (Azran) a great leader.

“Azran — some people think he is a little bit outspoken, but what would you expect if you have someone who is guided by a chairman like Tan Sri Rafidah Aziz,” Nazir said in his speech.

“It is this trait, speaking his mind, (that) makes him a great leader from my perspective – and has done a great job running this company,” said Nazir, the brother of Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak.

After the May 5 general election, Azran in his Twitter Account had described Utusan Malaysia’s articles such as `Apa lagi Cina mahu’ (What More Do Chinese Want) as “racist” and suggested that AirAsia X should not place advertisements with the paper.

He also took a swipe at the right wing Malay group, Perkasa.

Azran has since come under fire from Utusan and Perkasa. There were even calls for the Umno-controlled newspaper not to accept advertisements from AirAsia X until Azran apologised.

Apart from Azran, AirAsia X’s chairman Tan Sri Rafidah Aziz also came under fire.

Later at a press conference, Rafidah defended Azran and reprimanded the media for over-sensationalizing the issue.

“What Azran said is in his personal capacity and if it relates to any advertising in any company, that is obviously a company decision which is not made by Azran alone.

“It is very important to separate between a private person’s feelings or about anything at all, but so happen he was talking about Utusan,” she said.

Rafidah said there were millions of people who tweet and people should be allowed to express their personal feelings.

“It should be allowed as Malaysia is a country that practices freedom of speech, as long as it is not seditious in nature,” she said.

When asked if the matter had affected investor confidence at a time when the airline is seeking to list and banking on retail participation in its IPO on July 10, Rafidah said: “It does not have any bearing or whatsoever on the company.”

Azran Osman-Rani cemuh Utusan Malaysia dakwa akhbar rasis

Menerusi akaun Facebook beliau, Azran menulis: “I am Malaysian. I am anti-racism. I am disgusted by Utusan’s editorial stance. (Saya rakyat Malaysia. Saya anti-perkauman.

“Perkasa? I think Malaysia has proven that they are irrelevant. Its Perkasa’s narrow-mindedness that’s holds Malays back. (Perkasa?

Ianya mengundang banyak reaksi, termasuk Perdana Menteri IV Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad.

Ini pula abangnya mengejarkan sesangat Malaysia menjadi “a developed nation ahead of the 2020 schedule based on current projections,” kata Najib semalam di 17th Asia Oil & Gas Conference 2013 in Kuala Lumpur.

Dia tidak sedar bahawa bukan senang mahu bertanding di padang yang tak sama rata, perniagaan ada lah suatu “competition” dan tujuan syarikat besar selalunya ada lah “to kill the competitors so as to always maintain the lead in the relevant business fields”.

      Kita kena tunuk kuasa kita.
Traik balik lesen CIMB. buat undang-undang kurangkan pegangan Nazir. Caj dia dengan korupsion kdan curi duit PNB orang Melayu. melalui merger syairkat PNB.
      Masukna Nazri Razak dalam lokap.
Tak payah nak arguee dengan bangsat pukimak Nazir Razak ni.

  2. Azran and Nazir said it right. Many people in the business and corporate scene agree with the AirAsia CEO’s views on Utusan.

Word from my friends in market research is there are more people taking AirAsia now, partly to show their objection to Utusan newspaper. Another has informed there is less advertising revenue pouring into Utusan as businesses realise there are other channels to reach their customers.

    • Many people? Who? The tsunami fellas? Of course la. Just like we the vast majority say shit to Azran, Nazir and Air Asia.

“Word from my friends in market research”? Who? Merdeka Centre? Aiyyo, don’t mention that name la. They are Anwar’s tools, and financed by the Neocons, Jews and Zionists of US whose agenda is to weaken Muslim-led gomen everywhere.

    • Bless those who prefers and flies AirAsia. With delayed flights being the norm, a very poor customer service, cramped seating and suspect halalness of its food and a host of other complaints, those who do fly AirAsia and its stable of companies, must be really stupid.

Word has it that those who really flew AirAsia are really brainless Malaysians and worse is those who want to buy their upcoming shares are truly and seriously stupid. Also which Bumi institution wants to buy the allocated portion? And which bank underwrite such an exercise? I believe the perceived brilliance of Nazir is outplayed by TF. And shares worth .15sen being sold for RM1.45???? and CIMB is underwriting it????

Melayus and Bumis, please, after what Azran and Nazir has said and done, please also boycott the IPO…Not worth our hard earned money…

Pokoknya duit. Duit haram perjudian Cina. Duit haram bercampur dalam dana negara. Thailand bukan negara Islam masih tidak benarkan casino. S’pura hanya baru masuk casino.

Kita bantu Cina kaya secara haram. Duit digunakan untuk berkembang maju. Akibatnya ekonomi Melayu makin termpit.

Nampaknya pedoman money first (Razak) tumpah kepada anak2nya. Wallahualam.

    • Alamak, sapa cakap, Mamat? Aku pun tak setuju Nazib & Nazir, tapi bapak diorang aku sanjung tinggi.

Ekonomi Melayu tak gigih berkembang sebab Najib taruk DEB di back burner la. Kita kena bakar akar umbi UMNO fikirkan gantikan Najib.

Melayu atasan = Melayu elitis = Melayu liberalis lwn Melayu luarbandar = Melayu biasa2 = Melayu working class/lower middle class.

Ahli Umno yg majoriti Melayu biasa2 ni kena bangun dan take full charge of the situation lah.

Google “13 May 1969: A Tragedy, by The National Operations Council, October 1969” untuk mendapat butir butir lanjut berkenaan dengan nya.

  5. ‘Great leader’ of what? Your great leader is not the great leader of others. Remember that, please. It is typical of neoliberalists protecting their own kind. They are of no use to bangsa since their worldview is coloured by their own belief that they are what they are because they worked hard. They forgot that there are millions of Malays who worked hard but without connections and opportunities i.e unlevel playing field, their achievements are limited. So to these neoliberalists, if they can’t make lifes better for others, they should give space to others to criticise these snooty neoliberalists without bringing in the ridiculous ‘great leader’ analogy. Totally out of place and it sucks!!

    • A few weeks ago some one told me he was bypassed for promotion to the CEO post because of his physical size compared to his colleague, with exactly the same qualification and experience, who joined the GLC 1-2 years later. But this man was not neo-liberal or anything like that, merely stating his feeling for his pre-retirement predicament.

Nazir is somewhat diminutive, isn’t he? And he may feel a need to show self importance and dabble in remarks of a political kind that are, really, anti-Malay. You are anti-Malay if you are Malay and anti-Utusan. Or praise those who are anti-Utusan. He could be complex-stricken because of his physical size and tries to show his importance to cover up.

  6. Furthermore, there is no more so called ‘great leader’ in Malaysia since Tun M. But there are many ‘pseudo leaders’, confused leaders, wannabe leaders, and clueless leaders.

  7. I say Azran Azrai Rani is a Malay Carpet Bagger whilst Tony Fernandez is a Tamil Carpet Bagger…..Capitalist **star**

  8. Just to state the fact on the ground. Go to newspaper stands, around noon, try to find Utusan and the mamak will inform you sudah habis. Go in the afternoon/night you will find the second batch being delivered. When I ask why utusan only available in the afternoon he said that in the morning a lot of people will buy utusan rather than other papers. He need to increase his order but utusan only can send another batch in the afternoon. If i need utusan in the morning, I need to come to his shop before 8am.

    • Txs for that info, sarah.

Looks like the so-called DAP Red Beans blokes have been bull shitting about Utusan sales. Aided by the angau and gila isimkan kuasa – the not so Red beans yang tak ngaku kalah di PRU13 dan tak mahu ikut undang undang, jenis celaka.

  9. Dear all,
None of these nonsense will help move the country forward.

Kalau PAS sekalipun, reality on the ground tu kena terimalah.

PETRONAS dulu gaji kecik. Melayu je kerja sana. Tapi maju jugak.

“Biar orang lain nampak sedikit kurang ajar.” Oooo, orang lain buat, boleh diamkan aje ye?

  10. Utusan adalah kalam wadah perjuangan. Org Melayu bersatu & masih kuat sehingga kerajaan yg didukung kuasa Melayu masih ujud, atas sumbangan Utusan.

Air Asia kuat disokong The Star. Punya banyak business, sampai The Star ambik Kling Karam ni kedalam BOD.

Sikap Chauvinis Cina The Star memang menyerlah. Atas alasan ‘semangat kewartawanan’, DAP diberikan begitu banyak ruang termasuk liputan muka depan semasa masa PRN Sarawak 2 tahun dulu.

Sama juga PRU13. Sungguh jelas. Blogger Cina cam Helen Ang pun selalu tulis pasal ni.

Apasal Azran Osman-Rani tak sifatkan The Star sebagai ‘RASIS’?

Nampak sangat Azran ni alat Cina Chauvinis! Sama cam Pembangkang!

Nazir Melayu Tak Sedar Diri ni jadi badut tukang sorak!

    Memalukan legasi Tun Razak ja…..

    • Kepimpinan UMNO adalah Elitist. Belakang kita diorang mesti komplen pasal kita. Macam kita ni menyusahkan diorang.

Tukar je Najib. Dia boleh masuk PKR.

    • Oii… kalau Star itu ‘Cina cauvanis’ macam awak tuduh, mengapa mereka bawa masuk Tony Fernandes sebagai ahli direktur?

Awak panggil dia ‘kling karam’ menunjukkan betapa rasis awak ni. Patutlah orang macam anda kena tegur oleh En. Azran.

  11. Nizar and Azran are Two Successful Malay business leaders Well respected not only locally but also internationally.

Azran has also been attributed to the high employment of Malay employees and the upgrading of their capabilities.

They should be lauded for their achievements and not derided just because of their comments about Utusan Melayu.

Utusan Melayu should not only give Criticism but also be willing to receive Criticism if it wants to remain in the Mainstream Media Industry and join Rocket and Harakah as a political tool.

    • That’s right.

Nazir & Azran are employees. They are not substantial shareholders. They are in P Ramlee’s mortal words: Chief Khadam!

Just like CEO of FGV Sabri Ahmad. He is a boss of a plantations based group of 60,000 employees.

That’s 750% more that the number of people employed where Azran is the Chief Khadam.

Syed Mokhtar Al Bukhary on the other hand, as a business owner, employs over 80,000 people. That’s 1000% more than again Azran as the Chief Khadam.

One wont see neither Sabri, a globally respected planter nor Syed Mokhtar, a globally respected entrepreneur, to take a swipe and cheap pot shots against Utusan for being ‘racist’.

      • If I am not mistaken, Syed Mokhtar Al Bukhary employs 130,000 people.

That is three times more workforce as compared to CIMB and too far bigger than the whole AirAsia group.

If monthly RM3,000 is set aside for each employees in salary, EPF, SOCSO & other employee benefits, than that’s RM400 million a month or almost RM5 billion a year.

No need to talk about how much taxes his group pays annually.

All of that direct economic contribution is not at the expense of deriding Utusan Malaysia and PERKASA, as champions of the cause for the Malays.

In fact, Syed Mokhtar is very pro-Melayu & the leading corporate champion of the Malay Agenda.

    • Do know that Utusan Melayu is the symbol of Malay well being, the protector and promoter of Malay rights and interests? Like Sin Chew, Rocket and such promote Chinese interests.

Non-Malays may criticize Utusan Melayu within reason. But, as DS Najib said, what about the Chinese papers?

Malays criticizing that symbol of Malayness are simply too much. They jolly well have to accept being kicked in the arse, on the groin and on the head as well.

  12. Yes, I’m racist. To those Malays who murtad against their own race. Those pengkhianat bangsa. Those who have received benefits under the NEP yet don’t care about others after them having the opportunity to receive the same. Or try to deride the Malays for wanting to protect their rights and promote their own interests against those who try to encroach upon Malay rights and interests. Damn them.

It’s the fault of their parents for not bringing them up with the proper values. Never mind if the father was a PM. Or if both parents were professors. Just like freedom is always exercised with responsibility, equality in this country is always qualified by the Special Position of the Malays and the Bumiputeras of Sabah and Sarawak. Their parents should have told their children to remember those. And that that provision was not enshrined in the Constitution for nothing. Or for the fun of it. Those thinking so are idiots. And I’m very anti-idiots.

And it’s the fault of those blokes themselves. They do not read enough, open their eyes wide enough and acquire a broad mindedness that enables them to see the need to level the playing field in this country. That the 23% Chinese have been the richest community for decades. They control the economy. The 70% Malays and Bumiputeras of Sabah and Sarawak have only 20% corporate wealth. Not counting other forms of wealth where they own much less. That business is always a competition. The struggle of the fittest, the ones with inherited knowledge, experience and capital will always dominate. The others pushed down by the sheer business principle of weakening down the competitors to maintain one’s dominance in the market.

A lot more to say on the murtad buggers. For now, I just want to point out that the Azran Osman-Rani fellow has the peculiar hypened Rani name. He told The Nut Graph “my grandfather is Indian-Ceylonese Muslim.” To me, there goes the explanation for his stand. Call me racist whatever – I began my comment by saying that. I cannot stand Malays or masqueraders trying to damage the Malay rights and interests. In trying to curry the favour of his Indian (Ceylonese?) boss, or whatever his motive may be.

    • IF they are so bloody good, why arent these two Melayu Murtads are being employed by Chinese owned & controlled cos?

      Cakap banyak lak!

They are there in CIMB because their Melayu shareholders want them there because they are Melayus. Qualified Melayus but still because they are Melayus.

If they are that bloody good, go ahead and see if Nazir could be appointed as CEO of OCBC and Azran could be appointed as CEO of Singapore Airlines?

Okay la. Too ambitious. Far Eastern Bank and Silk Airways.

      Still. Can or not?

      • Nazir is there as CEO of CIMB simply because his brother Najib puts him there, isn’t it? “Melayu shareholders” in CIMB are largely the gomen – representing Malay and Bumi interests – Khazanah etc, right?

So, the delegates to the UMNO General Assembly in November should know what to do. Cannot place hope in the Ahli Ahli Majlis Tertinggi (the elitist?) in this regard – they have been so well looked after that they would want status quo, no matter what. If so, the Malays will continue to suffer. Or tersengeh sengeh di sana sini sahaja.

      • The big profits CIMB makes is from businesses brought by GLCs – Khazanah etc, correct?

If so, Nazir is not necessarily a business wizard. But he is wizardly in coining such phrases as “Bastardizing the NEP”. What a bastak.

In my school it was called “cengkurik” – not so clever but heboh all over the places, trying to appear important etc.

      • CIMB is making good money not because they are good. CIMB is making good money because
        1. Nazir is the celebrity banker brother of the Prime Minister
        2. Khazanah is the single largest shareholder of CIMB

Hence, they get all the benefits of all Govt & GLCs’ fat accounts & FDs.

They also get all the major corporate deals & exercise advisory work & the consultancy jobs too. CIMB also gets to underwrite all large scale listing exercises.

That’s not a mark of a great entrepreneur because he isnt one in the first place.

Just like Azran. Nothing earth shattering about his AAX. Let’s he see goes into the air cargo business & offer a new low cost cargo service. See if he can make money…..

      • And for that, Nazir Razak is paid RM 14 million per annum?

No wonder Chinese controlled businesses won’t employ him!

Principally, Nazir is benefitting from the highly sophisticated practice of earning via economic rent.

He is just riding on the CIMB’s position of having the benefit to set a trap at the creek with the GLC bank ‘near exclusive rights’.

      • A Malay Malaysian is running Temasek Energy in Singapore. Ex-CEO of Petronas. I believe you are familiar with the name Hassan Merican?

      • AC-DC, what has that to do with the price of salt in Timbuktu?

People are talking about the situation in Malaysia here.

Pssst, have you ever tried switching on AC-AC or DC-DC?

      • Hassan Merican was one of the best CEOs Malaysia ever had and successfully led Petronas to greater heights venturing into international hydrocarbon explorations. Yet his contract as CEO was not renewed. So, Temasek having a keen eye on the best and competent candidate, just snapped up Hassan Merican and walla…Temasek’s gain is Malaysia’s loss. And yet in Malaysia, we often hear people berating Malays as not being high achievers and incompetent and rent seeking. We had Hassan Merican, but some wise ar** just let him go.

  13. nazir, azran…a small message here.

ok la you guys have made it with a bit of ‘help’, beginning with the day you were mere suckling boys in your cradles that continued unabatedly, no…amplified actually, by chance, circumstance, connections and sheer good luck. well done to that. bravo.

but for you guys to diss a policy that aims to correct, reengineer, distribute wealth by EXPANDING the pie……what is your problem with that?

we know, everyone knows, an unfettered free for all, holly molly ‘meritocracy’ is nothing but a winner takes all policy that can only lead to a ruinous, destructive outcome that our beloved country does not need. just look around bro. drive 30 mins out of kl, you will find live samples.

    what…you don’t get it ?

oh dear, just look at your own industries then. banking, civil aviation are BOTH highly regulated, monitored, controlled industries on this planet. you need to be LICENSED first to do business.

ehem. boss, you ARE a protected species yourself.

so this ‘free market’ ideology, personal values and mumbo jumbo that you have (rudely) espoused for the plebs to swallow is perhaps best kept to your clubhouse or private rave.

and get off the wine and cigars to reflect, think, be humbled and say ‘alhamdulillah’.

    wtf both of you.

    • Being humble does not exist in these fellows’ vocabulary or mind set. They no longer have Malay values, Malay ways of thinking, or identify themselves with Malays, believing they are liberal and liberated individuals adopting international values and ways of life. These otherwise nincompoops.

Nazir’s sister in law, Najib’s wife, Rosmah, was heavily criticized by some one who saw her following Najib at the Talwiah Al Qur’an opening ceremony wearing a head scarf in a fashionable style, without covering the hair fully. Imagine the gall of the woman, dressing so callously at such a function.

Certainly not helping the image of the husband who has been bashed left, right and centre for bending backwards so much that he must have a seriously sprained or dislocated hip or lambego yet got an election result worse than Abdullah Badawi’s,

  14. There you go ..

    The Malaysian Insider –

Guan Eng says: More Malaysians should be like Nazir

    Najib,

Habis le kamu. DAP dah sukakan adik kamu. Dah nampak mcm orang pembangkang si Nazir.

    Perwakilan PAU Nov 2013,

Tengok le tu semua. Fikirkan le baik baik siapa yang patut mimpin UMNO.

    • Yes Haba

biaDAP loves to pit Malays against Malays to further their chinese supremacist policies.

Lky himself personally met Nik Aziz who “halalised” the Pap icon by giving him the thumbs up. Nik Aziz was won over by their support to help PAS defeat UMNO. His lame excuse was to introduce Islam to the chinese DAP.

Today PAS is weakened and not a single conversion was recorded. Bila Melayu berpecah, cina bersorak.

  15. For God sake give this Azran guy a break!!!

He is a Senoi not a Malay!

    • anak arwah rani abang kpd anwar

Orang kata bapak Anwar fasih cakap Tamil.

Jenis pengkhianat bangsa ni halal kita go personal on them, betul tak.

    • Yeah, give Azran a break – break his neck.

Pengkhianat bangsa Melayu – dia sendiri kata dia keturunan India-Ceylonese.

      • I don’t think Azran Rani is a descendent from some Indian-Ceylonese parentage, he looks more like that of a senoi praq from my kampong on the way to Cameron Highlands. Small wonder he doesn’t possess any Malay sentiments.

  16. Now, what do we do with these Melayu murtad, pengkhianat bangsa?

It’s very justifiable to call them those. Any person bearing the Malay name and purporting to be a Malay but not only does not have the interests of the Malays at heart, but also injures those interests – and Utusan is certainly a reflection of Malay interests – is a Melayu murtad and pengkhianat bangsa. So is such a person who talked about “bastardizing the NEP” and glorifies another Melayu murtad and pengkhianat bangsa.

True, we don’t have the power to do anything to them. Group action like boycotting Air Asia or CIMB has been suggested. But I think the effect will be minimal. The tsunami Chinese don’t even bank with CIMB and will continue to patronise Air Asia. I support the opinions expressed on influencing the UMNO grass roots to change UMNO leadership at the UMNO General Assembly and party elections in November.

Nazir’s position is at the pleasure of the PM/UMNO President. Khazanah has majority shares in CIMB and Khazanah CEO also serves at the pleasure of the PM/UMNO President. Change the UMNO President and the PM automatically changes, and the CIMB and Khazanah CEOs will also change.

But how effective can we be in influencing the UMNO grassroots – the delegates to the PAU? We’ll never know until we try. And I suggest we try to do so every time possible, in every blog permissible, in the FBs and Twitters, as well as every UMNO member we meet.

  17. What the heck – this Mohsin Abdullah asked in the Edge if the attack by the “coalition of Malay/Muslim NGOs” is related to UMNO polls in November. Who is this Mohsin Abdullah, anyway?

I don’t even realize there is “a coalition of Malay/Muslim NGOs” attacking Nazir Razak. As far as I saw it, Nazir said some shit and there was an instantaneous adverse response to the shit he was putting out. And the shit was so smelly that the responses included asking his brother be removed as UMNO President so that he can also be removed as CIMB CEO.

And Najib is now talking about not emulating Singapore’s move requiring blogs and news portals to be licensed, but will instead opt for self-regulatory measures that make it necessary for blog and website owners to reveal their identities. Will that solve the problem of Red Bean-ism? Aren’t the owners of Malaysikini, MInsider, MChronicle now known yet cyber terrorism has been going on unabated there?

But I don’t know what exactly he means by saying “No more anonymous writers, as is practised now. This is to ensure that information presented isn’t considered libel (fitnah) .. to ensure that writers are responsible and accountable for what they write.”

“No more anonymous writers” = No more anonymous commenters? Would we be required to provide our names, IC nos etc? If so, I protest.

  18. The chap TAY TIAN YAN ( I won’t bother to find out who the fellow is) wrote in Sin Chew daily:

Nazir Razak and Azran “have been a result of their own capabilities and hard work, proving that Malays not necessarily need special privileges …Nazir .. not because he is Najib’s younger brother or Tun Razak’s son.”

Awww, who would believe those? The Tay bloke wants us to drop our Special Position in the Constitution and the NEP, eh?

He makes me puke saying, “So they oppose the NEP and racist policies as these will only debilitate the Malay race in the long run.

“Nazir has been a chronic advocate of economic liberalisation and staunch critic of the NEP, supporting a new economic model irrespective of race … much adored by the business circle and moderate Malays ”

    Balderdash.

    • If the fler is trying to get us drop our Special Position under the Constitution and the NEP, that should attract counter-comments asking him to drop his citizenship right.

The quid pro quo for citizenship right for the non-Malays was the enshrining in the Constitution of our Special Position and the Ketuanan Melayu as reflected by the provisions spelling out the roles, functions and responsibilities of the YDP Agong, the Malay Rulers, the Rulers Counil, etc.

    • For those splintering few Malays who are not proud of being Malay. who don’t want the Ketuanan Melayu, the Special Position and the NEP, or don’t like being Malay in any way whatsoever, my advice to them is to take the medication that Michael Jackson took – that which changed the colour of his skin.

If they want to take the other kinds of medication that the singer took, I won’t mind it at all.

      • Yes, the medication that made the singer went dead.

      • Those type of Malays forgot that the higher they go, the harder they can fall. Successful ones dont maligned policies that can help others. Only insecured ones do that.

      • I hope they fall like rotten buah nangka from a tall nangka tree. Smashed to pieces on the hard ground with maggots splattered all over the place.

Sure there’ll be maggots if they are rotten. Sure they are rotten if they are Melayu murtad and pengkhianat bangsa. Things rot in more ways than one.

    • Open economy a.k.a economic neoliberalism without proper calibration of the socio economic wellbeing of non-corporate Malaysians such as workers, low income earners and other ordinary Malaysians who dont have the millions in capital, investment and savings, will create bigger gaps between the rich and the poor.

    • Chinese in general will just say any cock as long as they profit from it. At another turn, they will also turn and say a different cock. Why don’t they admit they are just opportunists? At this day and age, nobody is stupid to not read their worn-out antics.
