Awakened, to sleeping with the enemy

Proof of 'Sleeping With The Enemy'

Proof of ‘Sleeping With The Enemy’

It is undeniable that PM ‘Flip-Flop’ Abdullah Ahmad Badawi is ‘Sleeping With The Enemy’. In a marketing campaign, pro-Opposition news portal Malaysiakini is offering the book by pro-Opposition academicians Bridget Welsh and James Chin “Awakening, The Abdullah Ahmad Badawi Years In Malaysia” for its subscription.

The fifth Prime Minister who brought upon the darkest five-and-a-half years in modern history and the worst GE digression within one parliamentary term where BN lost 58 seats and 2/3rd majority control in Dewan Rakyat and control five states within 59 months, inadvertently admitted of his guilt by responding to this blog’s analysis.

Active agents for the Opposition Welsh and Chin would not have credible subject to aggregate over 30 different essays into the book, without the “Long interview with PM ‘Flip-Flop’ Abdullah”.

The book is believed to be bashing the Federal Government policies and decisions made by Fourth Prime Minister Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad, which mostly is being followed through by Prime Minister Dato’ Sri Mohd. Najib Tun Razak.

Probably son-in-law Khairy Jamaluddin, who is Minister of Youth Sports and BN Youth Chief, could also offer the book to gain the nominations and eventually the votes for the UMNO Youth Chief post for the second term. That would definitely help the ‘sales’ of the book and earn the best seller status.

After all, Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad’s “Doctor in the House” sold about 100,000 copies. Khairy and minions serving PM ‘Flip-Flop’ Abdullah and realising Opposition Leader Anwar Ibrahim would never dream of surpassing that record, without some sort of deception.

The reckless-spending-Prime Minister struck a good one against the spend-thrift Prime Minister.

Dr M roasts Pak Lah about spendthrift ways and bankruptcy

Mahathir (left) and Abdullah Badawi in better times. August 22, 2013.Mahathir (left) and Abdullah Badawi in better times. August 22, 2013.Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad used his trademark sarcasm today to compare his government’s success to his successor, saying Tun Abdullah Ahmad Badawi’s “rich government” did not do well in Election 2008.

Malaysia’s longest serving prime minister acidly said that “billions would have been saved if he stepped down earlier”, after Abdullah said in an interview that the country would have been bankrupt if he listened to his predecessor.

“Just imagine how many billions more would be saved if I had stepped down earlier before building the North-South Highway, Penang Bridge, KLIA, West Port, Putrajaya, Cyberjaya, the Petronas Twin Towers and a host of other mega projects.

“We would be sitting on a mountain of ringgit,” Dr Mahathir said of his “spendthrift PM” reputation in his popular blog today.

His biting comments came after Abdullah’s interview was published in a book covering his years as the prime minister of Malaysia titled Awakening: The Abdullah Badawi Years In Malaysia.

In the interview, Abdullah spoke about the nation going bankrupt if he had gone ahead on Dr Mahathir’s advice to carry on with certain mega projects.

Dr Mahathir was prime minister from 1981 to 2003 when he resigned in favour of Abdullah, who then won a 91% majority in the 2004 election but lost the two-thirds super-majority in 12th general election in 2008.

“It must have been a very rich Government which went for the 12th General Election. Sadly the people did not appreciate the billions that were saved.

“They rejected the Government party, giving 5 states and one federal territory to the opposition, and just a small majority to the thrifty party,” Dr Mahathir said.

He also said he was happy Abdullah had explained that it was the interviewer who wrote about the country going bankrupt.

“Yes, I agree that I was a spendthrift Prime Minister who finished all the government money building the North South Expressway, Penang Bridge, West Port, KLIA, Putrajaya, Cyberjaya and an assortment of others.

“Had Tun Abdullah succeeded me earlier all these would be stopped to save Malaysia from bankruptcy. As it is, he managed to stop the crooked bridge and the railway double-tracking and electrification project,” Dr Mahathir wrote in his blog posting.

On the crooked bridge, he highlighted that the bridge would have cost under RM1 billion to build but the government had to pay RM200 million to cancel the project.

According to him, the railway project from Johor Baru to Padang Besar was to cost RM14 billion – slightly more than RM2 billion per year for six years.

“Fourteen billion ringgit was saved. But then it was found necessary to build the electrified double track from Ipoh to Padang Besar at a cost of RM12 billion.

A contract was given to a foreign company to build the track from Seremban to Gemas. I don’t know what it cost. Looks like the RM14 billion saved was spent on very much shorter tracks, about one-third in length,” he added.

The former PM did not stop there with his scathing remarks.

He went to state that the “small jet he used was only good for the Deputy Prime Minister”.

“A big jet was bought not through the usual channels but by some private individual. There was denial by the government that the A320 was bought for the use by the Prime Minister.

“But the aircraft is even today used by the Prime Minister. Wonder why the deal was struck. Who really owns the aircraft? How much money has been saved by the Government from this deal?” he questioned.

He said that in his time, the government budget was for the government to spend, but under Abdullah, the government budget was extended for use by the private sector as well. – August 22, 2013.

This is should be good for the semi-fictional book by Welsh and Chin. As they say in show business, “Bad publicity is always a good publicity”.

IGP Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar and Penang CPO Sr. DCP Dato’ Abdul Rahim Hanafi showing to media the firearms recovered from this morning’s shoot out in Sg. Nibong

Deputy Minister in Prime Minister’s Depart P Wathyamoorthy questioned the Police swift action in the shooting of three Indian gang members early Monday morning in the suburbs of Geogetown, Pulau Pinang. The tone of the HINDRAF Chairman’s doubt of Police professionalism reflects his anti-government tendencies.

Was it shootout or execution in Penang, deputy minister questions police

BY LEE SHI-IAN
AUGUST 20, 2013

Deputy Minister P. Waythamoorthy has raised questions about the shooting of five Indian gangsters in Penang. He believes the police executed them.

His comments are likely to put pressure on Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak who was criticised heavily by Umno politicians for appointing Waythamoorthy to the administration.

MIC Youth chief T. Mohan did so too, saying it would further weaken Indian support for the government.

Waythamoorthy, who is also Hindraf chairperson, said that in the past few years many Indian youths had been shot dead by police who were not able to justify the killings.

The Deputy Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department acknowledged that the crime situation in Malaysia was serious and police were responsible for keeping the peace.

“However, shooting suspects dead is not the way to go about maintaining internal security and public order,” Waythamoorthy said, calling for an inquest into the deaths of the five youths.

“The Attorney-General should call for an inquest immediately while the evidence is still fresh. The inquest would also dispel the mistrust surrounding the police on probing their own alleged misconduct,” he said.

In questioning the way the five were killed in the shootout, Waythamoorthy said, “Photos of their injuries suggest that the five suspected Gang 04 members had been shot at point-blank range.

“Nobody in their right frame of mind would believe that the five had been killed in a shootout if they saw the photographs.

“It has been a standard answer of the police that they were forced to defend themselves after being shot at.

“But the injuries on the suspects don’t fit the description of a shootout. They give the impression that they had been shot at point-blank range.”

Waythamoorthy also expressed his bafflement that the nation’s top cop concluded that the five men had been involved in 10 murders and two attempted murder cases.

Police recovered three weapons from the suspects and several rounds of ammunition after the shootout.

“How were the ballistics tests carried out so fast? Even if it was possible, how could the firearms be linked to 10 previous murder cases so quickly?” Waythamoorthy wondered.

He said the public was no longer easily misled by the standard answers given by the police every time they killed criminals.

Waythamoorthy said if it was true that police had been observing the five suspects for some time, there was no reason why they couldn’t have been arrested instead of being shot dead.

The suspects’ families have complained about their deaths and alleged that they had been shot like “animals”, according to Malaysiakini. – August 20, 2013.

It is baffling to learn that Wathyamoorthy is completely oblivion of such information. Unless Wathyamoorthy is hopeless to get co-operation even though he is already in government as a Deputy Minister or he is complete dump for understanding the role that he should be playing when Prime Minister Dato’ Sri Mohd. Najib Tun Razak appointed him.

Wathyamoorthy should be supportive of the Police Force, for trying to restore order to the near madness state of serious crimes with the rampant shootings. After all, he is also a lawyer who is deemed as someone who could at least know how to sought for the usual Police Force procedure, when it comes to a case involving gunned down bandits.

Yesterday wasnt the first time bandits were gunned down. It is not rocket science to understand this because of the three firearms recovered in the premise.

Then again during his involvement with HINDRAF, he could be exposed or ‘infected’ by the Indian triad groups since the pressure group once viewed as being an extremist Indian movement with militant tendencies.
