Ramli should sue Mkini and Riong Kali dot com too

Ex-Cop of the year Ramli Yusuff

Former Director of Commrercial Criminal Investigation Department of Bukit Aman Dato’ Ramli Yusuff should also sue pro-Opposition newsportal Malaysiakini and Riong Kali dot com for perpetuating a lie about the him being involved in a plot to topple Attorney General Tan Sri Gani Patail.

There are two very strong reason why ramli should sue these news portals and the editors.

One, he was not involved  in the lie which Malaysiakini wrote that Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad’s former Political secretary Matthias Chang brought him and Former Kuala Lumpur Police Criminal Investigation Department Chief Dato’ Mat Zain to meet with the Statesman at his home. Riong Kali dot com perpetuated that lie.

Two, Ramli don’t need to conspire in  scheme to bring down Gani. He does it like a gentleman and with style. He takes Gani to court, for an imperial sum of RM 128.5 million.

Former senior police officer sues AG, Govt, 10 others for RM128.5 million

KUALA LUMPUR: Former Bukit Aman Commercial Criminal Investigation Department director Datuk Ramli Yusuff today filed a suit for RM128.5 million against the Attorney-General, a former Inspector-General of Police, the government and nine others for alleged malicious prosecution.

The suit was filed at the Office of the Civil High Court registrar through the legal firm, Messrs. Vin Partnership.

In the statement of claim, Ramli, 61, named Tan Sri Abdul Gani Patail, Tan Sri Musa Hassan, the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC), the government and the Royal Malaysia Police as defendants.

The other five defendants named in the suit are deputy public prosecutors and police officers.

Ramli claimed that the defendants, with malicious intent and without reasonable cause, had investigated and prosecuted him in court on five charges under the MACC Act and another under the Penal Code.

He claimed that he was acquitted of all the charges between July 2009 and August 2010.

The former police officer claimed that his prosecution had caused damage to his reputation and career , as well as caused him hardship, inconveniences and losses.

He is seeking RM128.5 million in special, general, aggravated and exemplary damages, interests and cost. — BERNAMA

Along with Gani, Former IGP Tan Sri Musa Hassan, nine others and the Malaysian Government are jointly and severally libel in the same writ of suit.

It would be a strong statement by Ramli against erroneous if not lies perpetuated by news portal stories with an agenda, probably a sinister one. After all, two years ago Former Malaysia Airlines Chairman Tan Sri Tajudin Ramli took Riong Kali dot com to court for RM 200 million.

Since the “Malaysia Airlines RM8.1 billion losses during Tajudin Ramli’s tenure” was perpetuated from a paragraph of a purported letter Ramli written to PM ‘Flip-Flop’ Abdullah Ahmad Badawi, then it makes sense for Ramli to uphold his credibility against Malaysiakini dan Riong Kali dot com. At least, for the sporting sense of it.

  1. A quick one – just look at his extremely well-manicured fingers. And beauty enhancement collagen-treated face.

Amassed RM27 million while serving as a Government Officer, did he? Wonder what else he spent the money on.
