Maybe Kadir is not aware that the third party posting which he most recently did could be construed as seditious.
Considering all three KKA members is believed to be non Johoreans, they are unable to differentiate the woods from the trees when the context of ‘Bangsa Johor’ is raised.
WE have received an e mail, citing displeasure of Kadir’s posting on the matter and we shall publish it here.
Kawan bukan bermaksud Tuanku Sultan Abdul Halim Muadzam Shah.

There is some truth in this. Kadir never found any position or arguments of Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad even having a slight deform, let alone be critical about it.
Considering that Dr Mahathir pushed the envelope almost to the extreme end, which include breaking the law such as sedition, Kadir remained obtuse at every single matter.
Fourth Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad received more lashing when he chided the 1920s Sultan Ibrahim Ibni Abu Bakar of Johor for the Statehood Nationalism of ‘Bangsa Johor’ which united and brought Johoreans sense of belonging, by none other than the present Sultan Ibrahim of Johor.

Former prime minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad’s comment about ‘state citizenship’ being bad for unity has earned the attention and displeasure of the Sultan of Johor.
Yesterday, Mahathir had made the comment about the damaging effects about emphasizing the idea of being people of different states at the Perdana Leadership Foundation discourse on “The Federal-State Relations in Malaysia”.
Sultan Ibrahim Sultan Iskandar immediately issued a response in a statement given to a local English news daily published today.
“Tun Mahathir’s uncalled for remarks reflect his complete ignorance of Johor’s history.
“My great-grandfather Sultan Sir Ibrahim in 1920 made the clarion call Bangsa Johor to unite the various races in Johor under one flag for greater cooperation, harmony and peaceful existence. No race or individual was marginalised. He has been proven correct.
“The Bangsa Johor concept was initiated even before Tun Mahathir was born. He has no idea of what he is talking about,” said the sultan in rebuking Mahathir, The Star reports.
However Sultan Ibrahim did not take kindly to Mahathir’s comment on the matter, saying that the latter was not qualified to talk about unity.
He also put the ball back in Mahathir’s court, saying that the former prime minister is the one taking the confrontational approach and picking quarrels with world leaders as well as driving the wedge further between Malays.
“He is going around dividing the people including the Malays, while I am uniting Malaysians of all races including the Malays.
“It is a figment of Mahathir’s imagination. He is stirring the hornet’s nest and my advice to him is to keep his mouth shut.
“He has quarrelled with many world leaders including with our neighbour Singapore and putting Malaysia in a spot.
“And now he talks about unity with an incredible straight face.
“Tun Mahathir is the root cause of the present problems in the country. He has no right to interfere in my state. I will not tolerate his antics,” the Johor Sultan said.
Many netizens have since rallied to the Sultan’s stinging criticism of Mahathir, pointing out that having pride in your home state also translates into patriotism, with the Sultan being recognized for his untiring efforts in promoting education as a key to unite the races.
Meanwhile, Mahathir’s uncalled for comment has raised the ire of ordinary Johoreans leading to its Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin telling off Mahathir, asking him not to talk about matters beyond his understanding.
He also echoed the Johor Sultan’s view that strengthening pride in one’s state beyond race and religion contributes to the unity of the entire nation.
“To Mahathir, there is no need for him to speak and comment on matters that is not his field of expertise. It is something that he cannot appreciate
“The rise of Johor nationalism does not in any way seek to separate from the Malaysian federation.
“Strong states, with a strong society, will form a strong federation,” he said in a statement today.

Johor Sultan hits out at Mahathir
JOHOR BARU: The Sultan of Johor strongly rebuked Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad over the former prime minister’s disapproval of the Bangsa Johor concept.
Sultan Ibrahim Ibni Almarhum Sultan Iskandar expressed his displeasure over the remarks made by Dr Mahathir that the concept could disunite the people.
He has no idea of what he is talking about,” said the Sultan.
Dr Mahathir, asked for his opinion about the Bangsa Johor concept at the 20th Perdana Dialogue Series themed “Federal-States Relations” at the Perdana Leadership Foundation yesterday, had said unity among Malaysians could slide if the people practised too much parochialism.
Dr Mahathir said the people should all be known as Malaysians, instead of the people of Johor or Kedah because “only when we are united can the nation prosper”.
While Johor has the right to promote the idea of Bangsa Johor, Dr Mahathir said what should be pushed instead was for the people to embrace that they are all Malaysians rather than identifying themselves from the state they originate from.
“After all, we are all citizens of Malaysia, irrespective of our colour, religion, ethnicity or even position,” Dr Mahathir had said.
Sultan Ibrahim yesterday said Dr Mahathir was not qualified to talk about unity.
“He is going around dividing the people including the Malays, while I am uniting Malaysians of all races including the Malays,” he said.
Sultan Ibrahim said Dr Mahathir should understand all states enjoyed their own unique pride but that did not mean they were leaving the Federation.
“It is a figment of Dr Mahathir’s imagination. He is stirring the hornet’s nest and my advice to him is to keep his mouth shut.”
Sultan Ibrahim said Dr Mahathir had earned a reputation for being a confrontational person who had caused division, especially in his foreign relations policy.

Dr Mahathir slammed for criticising Bangsa Johor concept
JOHOR BARU: Johor Mentri Besar Datuk Mohamed Khaled Nordin has blasted former prime minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad for claiming that the Bangsa Johor concept will divide Malaysians.
He said the sentiments of Johor nationalism do not mean a break-up of the federation.
“Johor is a state that is part of the Federation of Malaysia and will continue to support its close relationship with the Federal Government.
“However, the relationship between Johor and the Federal Government should be interpreted in the spirit of partnership rather than unitary,” he said in a statement Thursday.
He was responding to Dr Mahathir’s claims that parochialism, including the Bangsa Johor concept, will divide Malaysians, which could result in the break-up of the federation.
He added Bangsa Johor is a state political identity that promotes unity and goodwill among the multiracial society here.
Mohamed Khaled said the concept calls for muafakat (consensus) of all races, uniting all communities and faiths under one state identity based on harmony, understanding and tolerance.
“A united Bangsa Johor will not only make the state and its people better but strengthen Malaysia as a federation,” he said.
According to him, Johor nationalism and the Bangsa Johor concept are special identities that have been long synonymous with the state and its people.
Mohamed Khaled stressed that as early as the 1920s, modern Johor’s second Ruler, Sultan Sir Ibrahim al-Masyur, introduced and implemented the concept of Bangsa Johor.
“This is proof that the term and usage of Bangsa Johor were established before independence and way before the creation of Malaysia,” he said.
He added that people should accept the rise of Johor nationalism and Bangsa Johor as part of Malaysia’s diversity.
“I urge them to understand the meaning behind the rise of Johor and its nationalism, where the state becomes a moral compass for us to appreciate the diversity that we have in the country that will make Malaysia progressive.
“To Tun Dr Mahathir, I hope he will not make comments about things with which he may not be familiar, appreciate or understand.
“We in Johor will continue to be proud in defending the concept that has successfully united the people in the state for many years,” he said.

Salleh: Dr M should not meddle in Johor affairs
BY JOSEPH KAOS JR
PUTRAJAYA: Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad should not “meddle” in the affairs of Johor, said Datuk Seri Dr Salleh Said Keruak.
The Multimedia and Communications Minister said the former prime minister should respect the state’s usage of the term “Bangsa Johor” as it is something that has been practised for a long time already.
“He should not meddle in the affairs of Johor. The state has used the term Bangsa Johor for a long time.
“Our country consists of many states and we who are from other states should respect of their decisions,” Dr Salleh said after launching the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 mobile phone here.
He said the term “Bangsa Johor” does not affect relations between Malaysians from different states.
“The Bangsa Johor concept does not divide the people. The usage of the term helps to unite people of different backgrounds. And Johoreans still admit they are Malaysian citizens,” he said.
Dr Mahathir had said that parochialism, including the Bangsa Johor concept, will divide Malaysians and could even result in the breakup of the Malaysian federation.
He said this at the 20th Perdana Dialogue Series, which was themed “Federal-States Relations”.
Johoreans rally up in the grounds of Istana Pasir Pelangi to voice their displeasure against former MB Perak Nizar Jamaluddin
Both Opposition leaders made political statements, which drew Johoreans to rally and stand up with their Sultan and voiced their displeasure.
Considering that Johor has been good to Tun Dr Mahathir, for him to comment against the concept of ‘Bangsa Johor’ in the tone of an agent of disunification and anti-Federal sentiments clearly manifest his utter lacklustre understanding of Johor, history of Johor and sentiments of Johoreans.
It is shameful for the Statesman who longest served the nation as the Prime Minister recently drew too much flak for his faux pax and outrageous statements.
A few days ago the family of his own loyal lieutenant Tan Sri Megat Junid lambasted him for suggesting the former Deputy Home Minister acted in the many detention order issued using the dreaded Internal Security Act (ISA), when Dr Mahathir was the Home Minister for 11 years.
Tun Dr. Mahathir also invited foreign authorities to come and meddle in domestic politics which include ousting Prime Minister Dato’ Sri Mohd. Najib Tun Razak when the former’s various tactics of his open warfare against the latter since March 2015 failed miserably.
Let us pray that the Statesman Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad is manifesting his true biological position of his faculty undergoing a phase of senility, in the recent outcry from the claims of about all ISA detention order were not signed by him then as Home Minister after Tun Musa Hitam summarily resigned but instead his Deputy, Allahyarham Tan Sri Megat Junid.

Megat Junid’s Next-Of Kin Hope Tun Mahathir’s Claim Just A Slip Of The Tongue

PUTRAJAYA: Family members of the late Tan Sri Megat Junid Megat Ayub are hoping that it was just a slip of the tongue when Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad claimed that the former deputy home minister was fully responsible for signing detention orders under the Internal Security Act (ISA).
Megat Junid’s eldest son Datuk Megat Fairouz Junaidi said it was very odd for such powers to be delegated to a deputy minister without the knowledge of Dr Mahathir himself as the then home minister.
“We are hopeful that Tun Mahathir, who was very much respected by our late father, had a slip-of-the-tongue moment when he said those words.
“If he (Megat Junid) did sign those detention orders, it must have been done upon approval and within the knowledge of Tun Mahathir. In fact, there is a big possibility that it was done upon instruction from Tun Mahathir himself as the then home minister and prime minister,” he told a press conference here today.
Megat Fairouz, representing his siblings and mother Puan Sri Faizah Shuaib, said this in response to a blog post which stated that Dr Mahathir had denied that he was the one who signed detention orders under the ISA.
The blog post also stated that Dr Mahathir admitted that even after taking over the post of home minister from Tun Musa Hitam in 1986, he had delegated the powers to detain any individuals under the ISA to Megat Junid, who served as deputy home minister for 11 years.

Otherwise it would be either gross abuse and indecency of the dreadful Internal Security Act (ISA) where the Home Minister allows by his own conscious to sign the detention papers as prepared by the Police and officers of the Home Ministry for detention without trial.
Or worse still, he lied.
He allowed the abuse of the dreaded law to sign the detention order not prescribed and provided under the Internal Security Act as persons authorised to issue such detention order and all the while, he was hoodwinking Malaysians about it.
If there is any shred of true in tis claim, then a comprehensive investigation should be conducted with immediate effect.
During the tenure where Tun Dr. Mahathir was the Home Minister and Deputy Home Minister then was Megat Junid, Operation Lalang was launched on 27 Oct 1987 where 106 politicians, Opposition leaders, NGOs were detained under ISA.
It was a bleakest episode of the history of Malaysian democracy.
Never the less, it is poor taste for a Statesman to put on a blame on a very lieutenant, who would never be allowed to say his side of the story about what happened in the Home Ministry for 11 years since Tan Sri Megat Junid had been recalled to face his Maker almost nine years ago.

Former prime minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad has claimed ignorance over the Internal Security Act (ISA) detention orders that were supposedly signed by former deputy home minister, the late Megat Junid Megat Ayub.
This came after Megat Junid’s eldest son Megat Fairouz Junaidi reportedly said it would be very odd for his late father to sign the detention orders without Mahathir’s knowledge.
“I don’t know about that. I have never seen it. This is news (to me),” Mahathir told reporters in Putrajaya today when asked about Fairouz’s statement.

‘With Muhyiddin by our side, we’re stronger’
SHAH ALAM: Having former deputy prime minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin (pic) joining forces with PKR to explain to the people about 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB) is a positive development, says Datuk Seri Azmin Ali.
The PKR deputy president and Selangor Mentri Besar said it was the duty of Opposition leaders and civil societies to work together to explain the issue.
“By working together, we can become a formidable force,” he told the press after attending the state Warriors Day with Selangor Ruler Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah at the Selangor Memorial Monument here yesterday.
He said it was up to Muhyiddin to decide whether to join any party or not, as what was important was the cooperation to save the country and its economy.
He said a road show to explain the issue to the people would start soon.
In George Town, Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng said Muhyiddin should join one of the Pakatan Harapan parties to become the Opposition’s prime ministerial candidate.
“He must join Pakatan first. For us, he must be Pakatan’s choice,” he said.
The speculation about Muhyiddin assuming the role arose when former law minister Datuk Zaid Ibrahim said Muhyiddin had the potential to be appointed as the new Opposition’s prime ministerial candidate, once he assumed leadership of the new party mooted by former prime minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad.
Lim, however, said it was not up to him to decide on Muhyiddin’s candidature as it should be discussed among the Opposition parties.
Umno supreme council member Datuk Johari Abdul Ghani said the planned road show was of no consequence and would not affect the Government in any way.
“We cannot stop people from holding a nationwide tour.
“It has been done before, most of the issues were old issues and there is nothing new to be explained to the people.
“It would be better if they try to find the solutions.
“That is more important than talking about 1MDB for 365 days like there are no other issues,” he said.

The fact is Muhyiddin’s sacking as Deputy Prime Minister a year ago and from UMNO a few weeks back, did little repercussion to Prime Minister Dato’ Sri Mohd. Najib Tun Razak, his leadership and UMNO or even BN.
Unlike when Anwar Ibrahim was sacked 18 years ago next month, hardly any UMNO leaders at Cabinet, MT UMNO or Division level stood up for him.
Even outside UMNO, Muhyiddin has hardly any followings. Not amongst the Malays. Moreover, the Non Malays.
Muhyiddin is a Federal level leader who is unpopular in Sabah and Sarawak. Even in his home state Johor, hardly Johoreans are crying for his sacking.
Despite claiming to be “UMNO Totok”, the developments the past year are slowly pointing towards that he is not a force within or even outside UMNO to be reckoned with.
