Fourth Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad slightly opened the mystery Pandora Box of political chaos by announcing in London that sacked Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Mohd. Yassin is his choice for the next PM when his party and the Opposition managed to get their act together and win the GE.

Dr Mahathir tries to call the shots

BY JOCELINE TAN
TUN Dr Mahathir Mohamad has finally said it out loud – the Pakatan Harapan candidate for prime minister is likely to be Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin.
It was unclear how Muhyiddin feels about being named as the prime minister candidate for the Opposition coalition but it must have made his day because that is the dream of most politicians.
What was clear though is that he is not Pakatan’s choice because DAP publicity secretary Tony Pua immediately declared that Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim is still the coalition’s preference.
The PM candidate has long been a touchy topic for the Opposition and it looks like the struggle for the coveted job has begun even before the battle is won.
The endorsement of Muhyiddin, who is Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia president, came during a political talk by Dr Mahathir in London.
The former premier said what most people already suspected he had in mind. But what was shocking was his stand that the prime minister would have to consult his party and its chairman, who is none other than Dr Mahathir, on government policies.
He said this was to ensure that the prime minister does not make unilateral decisions.
It was quite bizarre and it basically meant that Dr Mahathir will be the de facto prime minister calling the shots from behind the scenes while his party will be some sort of secondary Cabinet vetting policy decisions.
It would also mean that Muhyiddin would be a lame duck prime minister who has to report to his party chairman.
It was little wonder that DAP’s Pua shot it down and it was quite amazing that Dr Mahathir’s sophisticated London audience took it all in without a murmur.
The politically correct answer would be that an important matter like this has to be decided by the Pakatan leadership.
Dr Mahathir did qualify himself by saying that the choice of Muhyiddin would depend on his party and also the coalition.
But the point is that his party is laying claim to the crown when it is not even an official member of Pakatan.
“My first instinct was that this man is into wishful thinking. He thinks he’s a supremo, the master puppeteer who has put Lim Kit Siang and Azmin Ali in his pocket,” said a Penang DAP politician.
Alternatively, said the same politician, Dr Mahathir might have been trying to give former deputy prime minister Muhyiddin a jab in the arm, to make him take the lead.
“Muhyiddin has been relying on Mahathir to take charge. By naming him as the PM-in-waiting, he could be telling Muhyiddin to wake up from slumberland and take a leading role,” said the politician.
The question of who will be prime minister has always been sensitive and contentious. In the run-up to the last general election, PAS had proposed its president Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang over Anwar for the top job.
This time around, there is Selangor Mentri Besar and PKR deputy president Datuk Seri Azmin Ali waiting in the wings.
“If you put Azmin and Muhyiddin up there, people would place more hope on Azmin who is younger, more dynamic and has less baggage,” said the DAP politician.
The bottom line is that the Pakatan folk do not regard Muhyiddin, 69, as PM material.
Pakatan’s embrace of the ex-Umno leaders was on the assumption that they would bring in the Malay votes and help them gain access to the Malay hinterland.
They complain that instead of coming up with a strategy and plan on how to engage the hinterland Malays, Parti Pribumi is talking about who will be prime minister.
Some think Dr Mahathir is being disrespectful to the Pakatan leadership in jumping the gun.
But Dr Mahathir is just being Dr Mahathir, he does not need to kowtow to anyone. He probably believes that only he has the key to the gates of Putrajaya and he is doing Pakatan a favour by ganging up with them against Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak.
“He’s got to realise that the world has changed, his era is over and he’s no longer pulling the strings. His statement will cause more damage than move our programme forward,” said the same DAP politician.
There is also some disconnect with the political reality out there and the perception is that Dr Mahathir’s obsession to overthrow Najib is so overwhelming that it has affected his judgment and assessment.
But he is living in a bubble if he thinks that his new allies will put up with nonsense like having the prime minister report to him and his party.
Pakatan leaders are beginning to understand that Dr Mahathir can be an asset as well as a liability. He is also becoming somewhat of an embarrassment.
His name carries clout and he brings star power to the coalition but he also comes with loads of baggage. Everywhere he goes, he has to answer questions about his past.
Even his son Datuk Seri Mukhriz has not been spared. When Mukhriz announced that Parti Pribumi wanted a two-term limit for the prime minister, people thought he should be the last person talking about that given that his father stayed on for 22 years.
When Pakatan leaders hooked up with Dr Mahathir, they did not realise they were riding the tiger. Now, they cannot get off or else they may be mauled.

**********

This puzzle was actually the tricky question left unanswered when some of us were invited to have a private engagement with the Man who lead the charge to topple Tun Abdullah Ahmad Badawi (it was our last!) on 10 April 2015.

Yesterday, after a full 18 months cycle and a dozen of failed stunts, Tun Dr. Mahathir made the pronouncement which has been seen is shoving it down the Opposition’s throat.

It has been expected that Pribumi Bersatu President Muhyiddin is to play the dunce-on-the-corner role (tunggul).

The mainstay of the new Opposition coalition would still be the Non Malays. In raw analysis, Muhyiddin’s appointment would be prickly issue because of his previous ultra Malay aura.

Even in London earlier last week, it was raised in passing about Muhyiddin’s infamous proclamation ‘I’m Malay first, Malaysian second’ and this alone would not augur well with a new political coalition alternative for Malaysia which is supposed to bring the agenda of reform, liberalisation and justice for all.

This announcement in London proven that the new Opposition coalition just like Barisan Alternatif, Barisan Rakyat, Pakatan Rakyat and Pakistan Harapan previously is unable to get their act together on the same platform, climbing the same wall for Malaysians with the exception of the desire to topple UMNO/BN.

Even when the Super Mighty Tun Dr Mahathir is onboard, this cannot be resolved because it is clear that majority of CWC members of DAP and key personalities within PKR are very sceptical of their former nemesis of over 50 years, to provide him the pleasure of being the ‘King Maker’.

This latest stunt warrants defacto PKR Leader Deputy President Dato’ Sri Azmin Mohamed Ali to distance himself further from Tun Dr. Mahathir.

The inpredictability of someone who many regard as ‘Master Strategist’ but actually showing signs of dementia on the evil side, is very worrying.

His speeches and ideas may still remain the guiding beacon of so many obtuse, blind loyalists and simpletons, without the consideration that it is actually incoherent if taken in its totality.

This proclamation itself is ‘Wayang’. Just like how Tun Dr Mahathir taken every Malaysians for a ride the past thirty five years.

Muhyiddin: Opposition to form new alliance by year-end

KUALA LUMPUR: Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin (pic) claims the Opposition expects to form a new alliance by the end of the year as more Umno members jump ship.

“The party faces declining support and many are not even sure whether Umno can survive the next elections,” the former deputy prime minister told Reuters on Tuesday.

The general election is due by the end of 2018, and Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak, speaking during a visit to Berlin, Germany, has ruled out bringing it forward.

Muhyiddin did not identify any potential Umno rebels during the first interview, Reuters reported.

He said many Umno leaders keen to join his new party, Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia, are uncomfortable with the problems facing Umno.

A Malaysian government spokesman dismissed Muhyiddin’s statement as a ploy to revive his career.

“Muhyiddin has been claiming for over a year that Umno’s leaders, and indeed the Malaysian public, are about to desert the party,” the spokesman told Reuters.

“This has proven to be wishful thinking, with Barisan Nasional winning all three recent elections with landslides, and the party more united than ever.”

Pribumi is chaired by former prime minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad.

His son, former Kedah mentri besar Datuk Seri Mukhriz Mahathir, is also a member.

Muhyiddin told Reuters that Opposition leaders realise they need to work together to avoid multi-cornered contests that could split the vote base at the general election.

“I would like to see this pact happen as soon as possible, before the year’s end,” he said.

*******************

The Opposition have been trying this so many times. Barisan Alternatif, Barisan Rakyat, Pakatan Rakyat, Gagasan Harapan and Pakatan Harapan, which nothing stick and needless to say, works.

The rakyat would expect to see a social development plan, on top of leadership for those vying for the rakyats’ vote and aspire to form the next government.

Pakatan Rakyat almost got the social development agenda plan out. At least, they attempted with the ‘Buku Jingga’, regardless how lame that is.

Forming an alliance and offering an insincere list of key leaders if they win in the next GE isn’t quite adequate to hoodwink the rakyat that the motley crew of ‘unholy-marriage-of-9in0convenience-between-backstabbing-strange-bedfellows’ is for real and bring out betterment for the nation.

The very least, the current Prime Minister Dato’ Sri Mohd. Najib Tun Razak’s administration the past seven years managed to brought forth improvement in the midst of global challenges like raising the income per capita, standard of living for the majority and the same time reduce deficit in the annual budget.

Muhyiddin for example, hardly did well in his capacity as the Minister of Education. His successor Dato’ Sri Mahadzir Khalid made a lot of mark in the same capacity in just one year filling in Muhyiddin’s old job.

If rhetorics are still in the menu of the Opposition for the 14GE, the recent Sarawak PRN and the twin bi-elections is a good manifestation where the flavours of the silent majority are. This include the strategic voters aka Chinese.

Being Ban Kin Moon

United Nations Secretary General Ban Kin Moon, a career diplomat, is very comfortable addressing in his formal capacity as a top global diplomat, as a typical Korean with a thick accent of his native language.

No need to be petty on how SG Ban deliver his address. What is paramount, is his message.

Do we see SG Ban’s fellow countrymen mocking him on any of speeches in the international arena especially United Nations, for the delivery form?

It is childish for Malaysians to nit-pick Deputy Prime Minister Dato’ Sri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi in his recent speech at United Nations General Assembly.

What is important what he said, which is reflective of Malaysia’s policy.

This include the call for immediate solution of Palestine.

Agony of defeat

Fourth Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad’s desire to topple Prime Minister Dato’ Sri Mohd. Najib Tun Razak is waning further after his agents to bring individuals linked to 1MDB with allegations of embezzlement and money laundering to US courts, had to be withdrawn.

Malaysiakini story:

Husam, Matthias drop 1MDB class action suit in US court

9 comments     Published 24 Sep 2016, 5:14 pm     Updated 24 Sep 2016, 7:49 pm

Salor assemblyperson Husam Musa and lawyer Matthias Chang have dropped their class action suit against US-based corporations and individuals linked to alleged embezzlement and money laundering involving 1MDB.

This is according to a court filing on Friday, in the New York Southern District Court, by US-based attorneys representing the duo.

Appended below is the listing for the notice of dismissal available for public viewing on the US Federal Court System’s Public Access to Court Records (Pacer) online website, as noted on federal court cases monitoring service site pacermonitor.com.

“NOTICE OF VOLUNTARY DISMISSAL Pursuant to Rule 41(a)(1)(A)(i) of the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure, the plaintiff(s) and or their counsel(s), hereby give notice that the above-captioned action is voluntarily dismissed, WITHOUT prejudice against the defendant(s) Goldman Sachs Group, Inc., Debra Whelan Johnson, Timothy Leissner, Christopher Joey McFarland, Metropolis IX Capital Advisors, LLC, Red Granite Pictures, Inc., Riza Shahriz Bin Abdul Aziz, Low Taek Jho. Document filed by Husam Musa, Matthias Chang. (Burke, Louis).”

According to Rule 41(a)(1)A(i) of the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure, the plaintiff may voluntarily dismiss their suit without a court order by filing a notice of dismissal before the opposing party serves either an answer or a motion for summary judgment.

The voluntarily dismissal was also done without prejudice, which will give them leeway to file a new legal action in the future, if they so desire.

However, the reason the suit was dropped is unknown.

When contacted, Husam told Malaysiakini, “I have not received an explanation yet from my counsel, but they will update me soon.”

Malaysiakini is also attempting to reach Chang for comments. The duo filed the suitin a US court in August.

Meanwhile, in a statement to The Hollywood Reporter, Red Granite said, “Dismissing this frivolous lawsuit was the right thing to do because it never should have been filed in the first place.

“Red Granite continues to work on exciting new projects,” added the film production and distribution company.

In an immediate reaction, Multimedia and Communications Minister Salleh Said Keruak condemned “Western media” for not reporting that the suit had been dismissed.

“This lawsuit by Tun (Dr) Mahathir’s henchmen generated global news and controversy when it was filed on 11 August (2016).

“But, strangely, the Wall Street Journal and other Western media haven’t reported that yesterday the lawsuit was dismissed,” he said in a statement today.

The class action suit was to seek damages for the theft of the state investment firm’s funds as well as to recover assets acquired using the stolen funds.

The class action followed the US Department of Justice (DOJ) civil forfeiture suits which sought to seize more than US$1 billion in assets allegedly acquired using stolen 1MDB funds.

The DOJ claims that overall, US$3.5 billion of 1MDB funds were misappropriated.

US$731 million of this was found to have been transferred to the accounts of a figure the DOJ referred to as ‘Malaysian Official 1’ (MO1).

Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Abdul Rahman Dahlan has since confirmed MO1 is Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak.

Najib, however, has denied claims of misappropriating government funds.

But his stepson, Riza, is also named in the DOJ’s court documents, and was one of the eight defendants in the class action suit by Husam and Chang

This is seen as another failure to the Statesman is his personal obsession to oust Prime Minister Najib with various stunts since going public to demonise the latter with 1MDB financial woes 18 months ago.

This obsession is the worst stunt pulled by Tun Dr. Mahathir, when he went against all rules which include manipulation, lies, making seditious and unconstitutional statements and even tried to drag the Rulers into his politics.

In early March he teamed up with his lifelong political nemesis in the likes of Lim Kit Siang and DAP, Hishamuddin Rais, Ambiga Sreenivasan and others to launch the ‘Dr Mahathir-Kit Siang Declaration’.

In his quest to draw up the public to sign the petition, Tun Dr. Mahathir proclaimed that the outcome of the exercise would be presented to His Majesty the King in his quest to out Prime Minister Najib.

After a few months, the outcome of petition was suspiciously fraudulent when he claimed “Managed to get 1.4million signatures”. On 16 Sept., he tries to sell this lemon to His Majesty the King.

It is believed now he is trying to present himself to the Council of Rulers, for the same excuse and quest. The next Council of Rulers meeting is scheduled to be in October.

The international conspiracy of the attempt to demonise Prime Minister Najib as the strategy to defeat and out him is clear that the Neo Con Jewish media which is supporting Tun Dr. Mahathir’s agenda, is silent about this withdrawal of suit from the New York courts.

Rubbing the Royals the wrong way

Fourth Prime Minister Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad isn’t going down well with the monarchs when the former got another tongue-lashing by HRH Sultan Ibrahim Ibni Sultan Iskandar of Johor for his critical remark against ‘Bangsa Johor’ as “Parochialism might disunite Malaysians”.

Tun Dr. Mahathir also did not achieve what he hoped to get from meeting His Majesty Seri Paduka Baganda Yang DiPertuan Agong in Langkawi last week.

Malaysiakini story:

Najib: Agong told me of Mahathir meet

Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak revealed that he was fully aware of what took place during Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu) adviser Dr Mahathir Mohamad’s audience with the Agong last week.

“I was informed by the Agong that he received an audience from the Bersatu adviser at Istana Bukit Malut in Langkawi last week,” said the PM in a statement today.

However, Najib explained that the meeting did not quite exactly go down the route that the ex-premier probably wanted.

“In the meeting His Highness took notice of the matter that was brought up by Mahathir. However, the Agong explained to Mahathir that he cannot be involved in what Bersatu is doing.

“This is as the declaration made by Bersatu was not in accordance with the constitution. Any action should be in line with accepted practices via the parliament and electoral system for the rakyat to make their decision,” related Najib’s statement further.

While it was not mentioned in his statement, the ‘declaration’ that the PM said the Agong refused to be involved in likely refers to the Save Malaysia Citizen’s Declaration started by Mahathir early this year, which the ex-PM claimed garnered over 1.3 million signatures.

In the declaration which Mahathir wanted to submit to the Agong, but failed to do so previously, the former prime minister along with civil society activists, NGO leaders, Umno rebels and opposition leaders urged Najib to step down over the multitudes of scandal since he took office, in particular the 1MDB saga.

Najib had denied all wrong doing and accused Mahathir and the others of trying to circumvent democracy and bring down a duly elected democratic leader.

Malaysiakini had previously reported a source confirming Mahathir’s audience with the Agong, thought no details were forthcoming on what actually transpired during the meeting.

Najib: King has told Dr M he won’t interfere in political matters

KUALA LUMPUR: Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak says Yang di-Pertuan Agong Tuanku Abdul Halim Mu’adzam Shah explained to Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad that he could not interfere in the efforts made by Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (PPBM).

The Prime Minister said he had been informed by the Yang di-Pertuan Agong about the audience granted by the King to Dr Mahathir, who is also PPBM advisor, at Istana Bukit Malut, Langkawi, last week.

“At the meeting, the King had taken note of the issues raised by Tun Dr Mahathir.

“However, the Yang di-Pertuan Agong also explained to Tun Dr Mahathir that he could not interfere in the efforts made by PPBM,” he said in a statement on Wednesday.

Najib said that this was because the declaration made by PPBM did not comply with the Constitution and any action should be according to the normal practice, which is through Parliament and the election system. – Bernama

In his desperation to oust Prime Minister Dato’ Sri Mohd. Najib Tun Razak after so many failed political stunts, the Fifth UMNO President tried to draw the sentiments by  attempting indirectly drawing the monarchs into his political gambit.

A month ago he apologised for removing the power of assent to the monarchs thirty three years when he was the Prime Minister, on the excuse that what ever the Executive brought upon HRHs and His Majesty, it is of the will of the people.

This include new bills passed in State Assemblies and Parliament and would automatically comes into force even without the royal assent after thirty days.

his Majesty the King wouldn't accommodate Tun Dr. Mahathir at arms with the Opposition, particularly his nemesis for 49 years Lim Kit Siang and DAP

His Majesty the King wouldn’t accommodate Tun Dr. Mahathir, especially when the latter is at arms with the Opposition, particularly his nemesis for 49 years Lim Kit Siang and DAP

It is unlikely that His Majesty SPB YDP Agong XVI would be drawn into Tun Dr. Mahathir’s politics, especially the formation of his new party Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia is seen as splitting the Malays.

The former Prime Minister of 22 years formed Primbumi Bersatu with other dissenters with the intention to break UMNO’s political support from the Malays.

Tun Dr. Mahathir has resorted to exaggeration, manipulation, lies, slander and even asking foreign intervention to oust Prime Minister Najib, on top of teaming up with his life long nemesis in the likes of Lim Kit Siang and Teresa Kok of DAP.

What “House Arrest”?

Fourth Prime Minister Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad’s credibility probably due to inconsistent faux pas which include seditious ones is the real challenge for him to be taken seriously after habitual lies to justify making his personal obsession a national political agenda.

Mahathir hands over Citizens’ Declaration to King

Former prime minister has audience lasting more than an hour with the Agong at the Istana Anak Bukit in Kedah.

PETALING JAYA: Former Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad has had an audience with the Yang di-Pertuan Agong, Tuanku Abdul Halim Mu’adzam Shah to hand over the Citizens’ Declaration, bearing 1.4 million signatures.
Former Umno member Khairuddin Abu Hassan told FMT that he accompanied Mahathir to Istana Anak Bukit in Alor Setar, Kedah, for the “historical” meeting yesterday.
“They (Mahathir and the King) met about 4.30pm and the discussion went on for about an hour 15 minutes.
“It was just between the two of them. So whatever was discussed inside, I will let Tun Mahathir reveal it,” Khairuddin said.

Mahathir’s special officer Sufi Yusuf also confirmed to FMT that the 91-year-old former prime minister went to the Istana bearing “a set of documents”.

*************

It is very inconsistent for His Majesty SPB YDP Agong to grant him an audience, if the latter “Is under house arrest”.

On 19 May 2016 in his quest to demonise Prime Minister Dato’ Sri Mohd. Najib Tun Razak, for the explicit purpose for Prime Minister Najib be ousted, Dr Mahathir made such pronouncement.

Dr Mahathir to be summoned over ‘house arrest’ claim

BY JUSTIN ZACK
KUALA LUMPUR: Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad (pic) will be asked to give his statement to the police regarding his claim that the king and other rulers had been placed under house arrest.

When met at the Pusat Perubatan Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (PPUKM) during on Friday, Deputy Inspector-General of Police Datuk Seri Noor Rashid Ibrahim said that police are currently looking into the matter and would seek clarification from the former prime minister.

“We will take his (Tun Dr Mahathir) statement when the time is right,” he said.

On May 23, Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission adviser Tunku Abdul Aziz Tunku Ibrahim lodged a report against Dr Mahathir regarding his claims, and said that allegations were “false and mischievous”.

Dr Mahathir had claimed that the Yang di-Pertuan Agong and other rulers had been placed under house arrest to prevent them from receiving the signatures of those who supported the Citizens’ Declaration.

**************

It is believed because of frustration arisen from all of his stunts since March 2015 to oust Prime Minister Najib, failed miserably.

Details of the discussion of His Majesty and Dr Mahathir has been blogged by Raja Petra, which highlighted the inability of Dr Mahathir to convince His Majesty of the claimed “1.4million signatures of the ‘Deklarasi Rakyat’ petition”.

If Raja Petra’s story is accurate, then it is utter shameful Dr. Mahathir even tried to hoodwink the King with his false support to a cause he concocted out of personal obsession.

He has been manipulating, lying, exaggerating and working with the Neo Con Jewish media, to see through that Prime Minister Najib is ousted. This is on top of Dr Mahathir’s call for foreign intervention to achieve his obsession.

Anwar’s lawyer seeks explanation over alleged denial of access

BY MAZWIN NIK ANIS
Popular Now in News
PUTRAJAYA : Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim’s newly appointed international legal adviser is seeking an explanation from the Home Minister as to why she was denied access to her client.

Kimberley Motley, the latest addition to Anwar’s legal team said that her Malaysian counterpart had submitted a letter to the Sungai Buloh prison‎ dated September 10, informing them of yesterday’s planned meeting.

“However, when we went to the prison this morning, I was not allowed to meet my client and no reasons were given.

“I would like to meet the Home Minister ‎to seek answers as to why I can’t see Anwar,” she said when met at the Home Ministry.

Motley, who was accompanied by lawyer ‎Raul Lee Bhaskaran, could not secure a meeting with Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi who was not in his office at that time.

“I will continue to try to meet both the Home Minister and Anwar while I’m here. I’ve travelled thousands of miles to see my clients and I’m denied access. This is a travesty of justice,” said the United States’ based lawyer.

Motley said she was appointed by Anwar to be his international legal adviser on September 7 and would be working on his case pro bono‎ or without any fees.

“I have known his case for a number of years have spoken to his lawyers and daughter (Nurul Izzah). I intend to be present in court with his Malaysian legal team whenever Anwar’s case is on,” she said.

Motley has been a practicing attorney since 2003 and has worked in Afghanistan since 2008. She is founder of Motley Legal Services and cofounder to Motley Consulting International.

In addition to her legal practice in Afghanistan and the U.S. she has also done extensive research work particularly in the area of juvenile justice that has been reported internationally.

She graduated from Marquette Law School in 2003, and also received a Master’s of Science Degree in the area of Criminal Justice in 2003 and a B.S. in the area of criminal justice with a minor in political science in 2000 from the University of Milwaukee Wisconsin.

In 2004 she was also crowned as Mrs. Wisconsin.

Sungai Buloh prisons officials and Prisons director-general ‎Datuk Seri Zulkifli Omar could not be contacted for comments.

*****************

Motley must first appreciate that the prison system is not here to serve her convenience.

The fact is that she submitted the notice to visit Anwar Ibrahim, who she claimed to be her client on 10 September. That is a Saturday. In this country, Saturday is non working day for public services.

The nation has also been on leave since Saturday till yesterday, which is Hari Raya Korban, the second most important religious holiday for Muslims worldwide.

Motley cannot expect to have her application probably opened the first time this morning and granted the visitation. There could be many reasons for being denied visitation.

Probably the notice is too short. Had Motley written and given the notice in seven working days, probably it would make better sense.

Two, to the prison services officers, Motley is not a known legal counsel for Anwar. Hence, the prison officers might need a little more time to process and verify Motley’s request.

Three, being an American doesn’t actually help for the prison officers to process the application. Let alone faster. Probably it could take longer because she is a foreigner and practicing law not registered with the Bar Council.

Who the hell Motley thinks she is demanding to see the Home Minister, just because she cannot see Anwar which could arise by her own shortcomings?

Its a typical diva attitude, coupled with the American arrogance that the world is so familiar with.

What Motley ought to do is apply to see Anwar and get a number. The prison system exist not to serve people like her. She wait until she get her business done, not the prison service serve her convenience.

Then again, what other angles yet Anwar Ibrahim or any of his legal team yet to pronounce this far which have not been said. Being a motley crew is best describing Anwar’s legal team since eighteen years ago.

Subservient to a despicable convict

Fourth Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad recent appearance in Court of Appeal in support of ex-Opposition Leader Anwar Ibrahim’s injunction of the NSC Act, simply translate that ex-Deputy Prime Minister Muhyiddin Mohd. Yassin is subservient to the informal PKR Leader.

The Malay Mail Online story:

Muhyiddin now subservient to Anwar, says PM’s aide

Published: September 10, 2016 09:00 PM GMT+8

KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 10 — Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin’s political future now depends on Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, the prime minister’s press secretary said today after the PKR de facto leader’s meeting with Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad.

Datuk Seri Tengku Sariffuddin said this was because it would be Anwar who agrees or disagrees with former prime minister Dr Mahathir’s “pleadings”.

“So Tan Sri Muhyiddin is now subservient to Datuk Seri Anwar.

“Tan Sri Muhyiddin’s disloyalty to the party and government has been repaid by natural justice. What a difference a year makes,” Tengku said in a statement.

Tengku also claimed that Dr Mahathir’s agenda has failed, describing the elder statesman’s recent visit to Anwar in court, the first meeting between the two in 18 years since Dr Mahathir sacked Anwar as his deputy, as “further evidence of his desperation”.

“It shows that Tun Mahathir’s selfish political agenda has failed. It also demonstrates that Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin will have to play second fiddle to Datuk Seri Anwar in Tun Mahathir’s alliance with the opposition,” said Tengku.

Muhyiddin is now president of newly-formed Bumiputera-centric party, Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia, after he was sacked from Umno and as deputy to Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak.

The Adviser of new party Pribumi Bersatu recent conduct simply placed Muo-born son of a revered religious teacher who proclaimed to be “UMNO Totok”, to below the criminal who subjected many persons to get into unlawful and taboo sexual relations.

Since UMNO statutory divisional meetings coming to tail end, there would be less coverage on political speeches by UMNO Leaders especially those who gained prominence such as Cabinet Ministers.

However, it is unlikely the take up of the Malays and Bumiputeras into Tun Dr. Mahathir-Muhyiddin’s new party Pribumi Bersatu would strike prominence since relatively, hardly anyone is practically interested to sign up.

S0 far, the party only managed to attract frustrated, dejected and personally dissatisfied individuals within UMNO.

It was unlike when Anwar was sacked and ‘Reformasi’ movement was launched, where prominent UMNO Youth and Anwar supporters at Division level left and in many places crippled UMNO.

It was clearly demonstrated in the 10GE where Cabinet Ministers such as Megat Junid Megat Ayub, Abdul Hamid Othman, Mustapha Mohamad, Annuar Musa and the whole state of Terengganu were lost to the Opposition.

So was it as the consequence of Team A Vs Team B in party leadership challenge of April 1987. UMNO split almost right in the middle. Then Prime Minister Dr Mahathir lost Musa Hitam, Tengku Razaleigh, Rais Yatim, Shahrir Samad, Abdullah Ahmad Badawi, Abdul Ajib Ahmad.

Democratically legal anarchy

The agenda to oust the successful ruling Government of sixty one years is paramount for Fourth Prime Minister Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad for his personal agenda to topple Prime Minister Dato’ Sri Mohd. Najib Tun Razak instead of propelling nationhood constructively.

Dr Mahathir: To topple BN, Opposition parties need to unite

BY JOSEPH KAOS JR

PUTRAJAYA: All Opposition parties need to unite under one pact if it wants to topple the Barisan Nasional government, said Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad.

This includes PAS as well, the party that broke ties with ex-coalition partners DAP and PKR, said the chairman of the newly-established Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (PPBM).

“All Opposition parties need to unite if they harbour hopes of changing the government.

“This is to avoid three-cornered fights in the next election. If they do not do this, then they will lose, like they always have for the past 59 years.

“In a three-cornered fight, the most likely winner is Barisan, so it must be avoided.

“What I say applies to all Opposition parties, and this includes PAS,” the former premier told reporters after the formal registration of PPBM at the Registrar of Societies here Friday.

The protem committee members, led by Dr Mahathir and president Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin, arrived at the RoS at 9.15am for a meeting.

Other protem committee members present was former Kedah mentri besar Datuk Mukhriz Mahathir.

Muhyiddin said the public can apply to be party members from Sept 14.

The Fifth UMNO President and Third Barisan Nasional (BN) Chairman calls for all Opposition parties to unite to topple BN instead of setting out an agenda, for the nation to be more developed, prosperous and economically stronger and more productive.

This is very irresponsible for a Leader who contributed to the hastened the development of the nation.

Even if the Opposition could be united and BN could be defeated in a general election, the opposition pack does not necessarily brought upon greater good for Malaysia.

The current three states under the Opposition is nor reflective on how the Opposition being united could brought forth betterment.

The economic standing and growth of Selangor and Pulau Pinang cannot be compared and measured against Kelantan. There is also no evidence how Opposition managed to introduce and invoke strategic economic development programs even in the largest and strongest economies within the Federation despite being in power since eight years ago.

PAS.PKR and DAP are only interested to holding into power independently.

No evidence what so ever they have a shred interest in anyway what so ever to do strategic economic development programs and open opportunities to cross-subsidise for the more stronger economic like Selangor provide resources for grossly under developed Kelantan, even though after eight years as Pakatan Rakyat and Pakatan Harapan.

Politically, Tun Dr. Mahathir already hoodwinked Malaysia on his agenda to topple Prime Minister Najib. A year ago, he was crying about “Saving UMNO and saving BN” as the justificatication to oust Najib.

After several miserably failed political stunts which include participating in BERSH 4.0, getting UMNO Divisions and General Assembly to boldly ‘revolt’, vote of no confidence in Parliament which never came, ripple less after quitting UMNO in February, he continued to hoodwink Malaysians.

He teamed up with individual Opposition Leaders such as Lim Kit Siang, Mat Sabu, Azmin Ali, Mahfuz Omar, Teresa Kok, Anthony Loke,Ambiga, Hishamuddin Rais to launch the ‘Deklarasi Rakyat’ and collect signatures as petition. According to him then, the signatures were to be presented to SPB YDP Agong, in the process of ousting Prime Minister Najib.

The fact that as a Prime Minister of almost twenty three years, he every well knew that even SPB YDP Agong nor the Rulers Council had the constitutional powers to remove a legally elected and sworn in Prime Minister.

Another interesting fact, in the past six months Tun Dr. Mahathir had never obtained the opportunity to present himself to SPB YDP Agong, to discuss about the petition which he also claimed “Obtained 1.27 million signatures”.

His latest stunt is to instigate sacked Deputy UMNO President Tan Sri Muhyiddin Mohd. Yassin to form a new party and this only serve as a democratically legal means to his personal political anarchy agenda.

The new party president pronounces that they expect many Malays and Bumiputera to join them, based on the feedback they have gathered. The Head of Membership Committee is Akramsyah Sanusi, who cannot even get onboard UMNO Youth Exco twice and any positions at Division level.

Nothing good would derived out of this latest hair brain ache,e of Tun Dr. Mahathir. Pribumi Bersatu would not g0 far, the Opposition Pack (Pakistan Harapan) would have no confidence in them, amongst themselves slack and slip further.

And that is not without making pronouncements and proclamation which eclectically colour the political sky and delussionise and confuses the middle Malaysia to bits.

Its an obsessed strategic minded machiavellian at work and all of us are herds and game for his political hunt.

History has clearly demonstrated no one is bigger than UMNO, even founding father Dato’ Onn Jaafar. He failed miserably with Independent Malayan Party and Parti Negara.

Tengku Razaleigh didn’t get anywhere with Semangat 46, after eight years. And Anwar Ibrahim is still back in square one after 18 years of ‘Reformasi’.

In Tun Dr Mahathir, in the final analysis is about his own megalomaniac ego and serving a personal obsessed political agenda.
