Mokhzani Mahathir’s company office raided by the IRB

| August 9, 2017

This follows a claim by his father, Dr Mahathir Mohamad, that the former PM’s friends and those connected to him are being harassed by the government.

PETALING JAYA: The office of one of Mokhzani Mahathir’s companies was raided by the Inland Revenue Board (IRB) yesterday, about three months after the board went after his father’s friend, businessman Lee Kim Yew.

A source close to former prime minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad’s family confirmed this with FMT, and said that the office raided belonged to Kencana Capital Sdn Bhd, owned by Mokhzani.

The source was not able to provide any information on why the raid was conducted, or how long it lasted.

Mokhzani, Mahathir’s second son, was included in Forbes’ 2017 list of “Malaysia’s 50 Richest”, with a net worth of US$420 million (RM1.8 billion).

He is a founding member of SapuraKencana Petroleum Bhd, and the sole owner of Kencana Capital Sdn Bhd. He was also the chairman of the Sepang International Circuit before stepping down from the post last year.

Mahathir has in the past, claimed that his friends and those thought to be connected to him were being harassed by the government, including through the IRB.

Mahathir, who is now the biggest critic of Prime Minister Najib Razak, also slammed the IRB’s probe on his friend, Lee, saying it showed the “depths to which the government of Malaysia, its prime minister and civil servants have sunk”.

In a letter Lee wrote last May, the businessman claimed he was being investigated under criminal laws instead of civil laws, and that this had caused him to liquidate his assets to settle the income tax bill.

Lee, the executive chairman of Country Heights Holdings Bhd (CHHB), said in the letter: “I would like all my friends to know that I don’t have any personal tax liability. In fact, I have a surplus tax credit with IRB.”

FMT has contacted the IRB and is awaiting a response.

Kutty curried cure crashed

More of Fourth Prime Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad’s lies debunked and his attempt to turn members to doubt the leadership-in-tandem and torpedo UMNO’s sense of unity, ‘Bersatu, Bersetia, Berkhidmat’ (United, Loyal, in Service) failed miserably.

New Straits Times story:

(From left) Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak, Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad and Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi.

KUALA LUMPUR: The open declaration by Umno president Datuk Seri Najib Razak that no one can come between him and vice president Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, serves to remind party members on the importance of solidarity.

Moreover, political analyst Universiti Sains Malaysia Professor Dr Sivamurugan Pandian said Najib’s public defence of Zahid against attacks by Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad recently, was a message for Umno members to be there for one another through thick and thin.

Sivamurugan said in the declaration would also prevent possibilities of internal crises.

“What is more important than Dr Mahathir’s remark was for Umno to strengthen the party’s unity by ensuring that no members are influenced by Dr Mahathir’s stand on the Najib-Zahid relations. Open declaration is important to avoid being involved in internal crises.”

The Pakatan Harapan pro-tem chairman had claimed to have met Zahid to help in toppling Najib, when the home minister was appointed as deputy prime minister in 2015.

Sivamurugan said failure to create an effective dissension in Umno would be a blow to Dr Mahathir’s efforts to rock the party.

“If they fail to influence the members, then it is a blow on Dr Mahathir attempt (to overthrow Najib).”

Universiti Malaya political analyst Dr Awang Azman Awang Pawi said now it would be difficult for the opposition to attack Najib, with Zahid standing to be his boss’ staunchest loyalist.

“As long as Zahid is still the deputy prime minister and a supporter of Najib, it will be hard for the opposition to defeat Umno in the General Election.

“This is a huge blow to Dr Mahathir who failed to frame Zahid as a traitor in the party.”

Awang said any attempt by the opposition to break the good ties between Najib and Zahid had been proven futile so far.

“The opposition are now running out of ideas on how to break the level of trust they have for one another.”

Yesterday in Shah Alam, Najib had said that Dr Mahathir failed to understand that he and Zahid were close and had gone through “thick and thin”.

Dr. Mahathir lied that then newly appointed Deputy Prime Minister Dato’ Seri Dr. Ahmad Zahid Hamidi in 2015 came up to the former to sought assistance to topple Prime Minister Dato’ Sri Mohd. Najib Tun Razak.

The desperation is obvious as Dr. Mahathir compulsion to lie has brough his credibility into catastrophic proportions.

It started when he tried to get then UMNO Deputy President and Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Mohd. Yassin to mount a challenge via the doubt on 1MDB financial woes 25 months ago.

It was supposed to bring about a snowball effect and rally majority of the Cabinet to side Muhyiddin and pressure Prime Minister Dato’ Sri Mohd. Najib Tun Razak to buckle and cave in.

Of course the ‘rebellion’ involving three other Tan Sris in a Special Task Force which was summarily created by then Attorney General Tan Sri Abdul Gani Patail in July 2015, which was supposed to add the ‘official authority’ pressure in the attempt to get Prime MinisterNajib to back down also failed.

Dr. Mahathir then tried to use UMNO Divisions to create the ripple through the party, in the pre-cursor of UMNO General Assembly of 2015 failed to achieve even the slightest objective.

This despite his nationwide excuse to UMNO members via his roadshows and statements aired through various social media networks, “Let save UMNO”.

He even crossed the lines he drew on street demonstration by attending BERSIH 4.0  two days in a row before 58th Hari Kemerdekaan celebration, with the declaration “We just want to topple (Prime Minister) Najib only, not BN”

Then the much campaigned planned ‘vote of no confidence’ through Dewan Rakyat in December 2015 also failed to materialise.

Dr. Mahathir then resigned from UMNO two months later and his son, then Dato’ Seri Mukhriz Mahathir had two resign from the position of Menteri Besar of Kedah after two weeks of Kedah’s UMNO leaders announcement of losing support to the latter’s leadership.

He then decided to formalise his relationship with Opposition leaders, with the shocking revelation of working hand-in-hand with his arch nemesis of half a century Chinese Chauvinist DAP Emperorissimo Lim Kit Siang and his party.

‘Deklarasi Rakyat’ was launched 8 March 2016. Signatures were pleaded for the tool which Dr. Mahathir promised to be presented to HRH Malay Rulers to oust Prime Minister Najib from office.

Of course, like many other stories from March 2015, he lied.

He even suggested then His Majesty Seri Paduka Yang DiPertuan Agong XIV was under ‘house arrest’ for not granting an audience for him.

When Dr. Mahathir got his wish, he tried to hoodwink His Majesty Tuanku Sultan Abdul Halim Muadzam Shah that his ‘Deklarasi Rakyat’ “Managed to obtain 1.4 million signatures”.

He also got Muhyiddin to work on getting his party registered. Parti Bunga was given the green light by ROS, to be formed as a formal political party.

Despite his compulsion of lies, Parti Bunga failed to get the traction it hoped for. So few UMNO leaders at Division level joined Muhyiddin and him. Only the rejected, dejected and frustrated ones, help to form the nucleus as Division level.

Even at turned out to be failures, more than success. In a few short months, Parti Bunga founding leaders and members rebelled against Muhyiddin, who was accused of poor leadership and cronyism, nepotism and favouritism practices.

Protem PPBM Secretary used these words in his announcement of resignation from PPBM as Negeri Sembilan State Liaison Chairman, High Council member and Executive Secretary, “Lies, slander and pretending to be dumb!”

More and more former UMNO members who were hoodwinked to side with Dr. Mahathir, find it very difficult to digest to forge a working relationship and eventually, front for a puppet Government for Chinese Chauvinist DAP in the event Pakatan Harapan wins the 14GE.

Eventually, his political ambition to come to power even at the expense of becoming a Chinese Chauvinist DAP puppet is clearly demonstrated.

Dr. Mahathir’s  curried political cure to Malaysia failed, because of his ill intent obsession over powered his sense of thoughts right from the start when he plotted the lie against Prime Minister Najib, which lead to the compulsion of one lie on top of the other.

A man-possessed whose strategy to demonise, turned and starting to haunt him in his worst nightmares.

Seditious solicitor

The barrister representing Fourth Prime Minister Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad and his agents Khairuddin Abu Hassan and Matthias Chang issued a statement which is suspiciously seditious.

Mohd Haniff Khatri criticised in the tone of seemingly sowing hatred towards the Executive on “Tampering on every branch of the Federal Constitution” with issues like the sacking off Deputy Prime Minister and another Cabinet member, Attorney General and parliamentary matters.

The appointment and swearing in of the new Chief Justice by His Majesty Seri Paduka Yang DiPertuan Along XV.

Haniff should be investigated for the utterance of words many felt seditious in nature.

Kutty-cure aa…?

Habitual liar Fourth Prime Minister Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad is running out of mindless lame excuses to get himself out of sticky situation for the continuously unsubstantiated allegations, manipulations and lies in the past thirty months in his strategy of demonisation to oust Prime Minister Dato’ Sri Mohd. Najib Tun Razak.

Malaysiakini story:

Zahid thought he could convince Najib to step down, claims Dr M

Ahmad Zahid Hamidi had hoped to convince Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak to step down soon after he was appointed deputy prime minister, alleged Dr Mahathir Mohamad.

Mahathir claimed that this was communicated to him during a meeting with Zahid.

“He (Zahid) thought he could get Najib to resign, after which he would become prime minister.

“I told him, even if Najib resigns, it is not necessary that he (Zahid) becomes the prime minister, because Umno has the right to choose who replaces Najib,” the former premier told The Malaysian Insight in an interview.

It is not known when the meeting took place. Zahid was appointed as deputy prime minister in 2015 after Muhyiddin Yassin was dropped from the cabinet due to his critical views on 1MDB.

In a video published on Facebook on Monday, Mahathir accused Zahid of wanting to replace Najib and that he had sought the former premier’s blessings.

Mahathir also accused Zahid of failing to provide a clear answer on the alleged RM230 million in his account when he declared his assets to the former premier in 1996.

Mahathir has been targeting Zahid since the latter took a swipe at the former premier’s Indian heritage during an Umno event over the weekend.

Malays used me, not the other way round

During the interview with The Malaysian Insight, Mahathir said he did not benefit personally from his 22-year reign of Umno and Malaysia.

“If I used Umno, what are the bad things that I have done? The truth is, it is the Malays who have used me,” he added.Mahathir said he was not surprised that he was being demonised by Umno leaders and the media, but he believed that the majority of Malaysians would not be convinced by the smear campaign.

“I don’t think the majority of the people accept (the smear campaign). In fact, some are angry. Angry when Najib says I have done nothing.

“He (Najib) is sitting in a home I have built. He is working in an office I have built,” he added.

Again this story is about Dr. Mahathir throwing allegations which he is unable to substantiate.

This meeting purportedly happened which the founder of UMNO Baru said newly appointed Deputy Prime Minister Dato’ Seri Dr. Ahmad Zahid Hamidi asked for his assistance to formalise his position as UMNO No.2.

Former Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Mohd. Yassin was sacked from Cabinet in July 2015, four months after Dr. Mahathir openly attacked Prime Minister Najib by throwing so many issues who justify his call of the son to the former’s boss be ousted.

Hence, when then Home Minister Zahid was appointed to replace Muhyiddin, the latter was still legally UMNO Deputy President.

It is unlikely for UMNO delegates were to stay with Muhyiddin as the Deputy President in the next party elections simply because Vice President Zahid is a more popular amongst UMNO middle level leaders and grassroots.

Then there is also Muhyiddin realistically had no ally and friends he could bank on at the Supreme Council and Division Heads and Deputy Heads level. His sacking proven that less than 3% of this lot came over to see him, let alone throw support even in private.

It is glaringly clear Muhyiddin’s exit from Cabinet and later booted out of the party caused minimal ripple in the party.

The there is this another angle about Dr. Mahathir claiming “Zahid disclosure to him about the RM230 million in his accounts”. His statement against Zahid about the “RM230 juta” is really interesting. The facts are:

1. That was twenty years ago
2. Its a private disclosure and now he is making it public

So, Dr Mahathir has sterling memory of numbers, events and stories. However, it was not so when he was on the stand in the cases of:

1. RCI of VK Lingam
2. RCI ‘Projek IC’ Sabah
3. PKFZ trial.

Now, that also got us thinking. If he has first party knowledge of the “RM230 juta”, why didnt he do anything about it then?

He was the Prime Minister at the time and Anti Corruption Agency was a department under his Ministry.

Then again, even Datuk Rocky is tickling our mind that had Zahid was in possession with so much cash then and he disclosed it to his then party Boss and latter did not find it interesting enough to act on it, how much did Dr. Mahathir had his in possession?

It is vehemently clear that:

  1. Dr. Mahathir’s 22 years leadership as the UMNO President, Barisan National Chairman and Prime Minister is not Sterling and without tricks, controversies and scandals
  2. Dr. Mahathir’s ‘selective amnesia’ is a demonstration of he really had ‘Lots to hide’ and bane to everything he is throwing as excuses and justification in his quest to oust Prime Minister Najib the past thirty months
  3. Dr. Mahathir’s deeds does not warrant his right to be treacherous against UMNO and the Malays
  4. Dr. Mahathir going to and teaming up with the Chinese Chauvinist DAP is never and can never be about ‘Perjuangan’ but completely serve his ego, personal agenda and obsession
  5. Dr. Mahathir sold the nation out by teaming up with the very foreign media which he claimed was in cahoot trying “To topple him as then the Prime Minister, UMNO President and leader of the Malays”

Dr. Mahathir had been an obnoxious agent to any system the past seventy years and still is a lethal poison. Unlike botox which is poison introduced into a muscle which reaction is utilised for pro-active cosmetic non-evasive procedure or penicilliin, ‘good bacteria going after bad bacteria’, he is has been proven having long term damning effect.

All in sundry, Dr. Mahathir is not the cure to the national issues at had today, which was his doing and carried over even after almost fourteen years of retirement and still being sorted out.

Mamak Mudah Lupa

The Straits Times story 21 June 1953

Fourth Prime Minister Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad has been proven time and again that he uses his ‘selective memory’ as another of his tricky political tool and ploy, no matter how the facts could easily be proven against him otherwise.

Free Malaysia Today story:

Nur Jazlan: ‘Mahathir a/l Iskandar Kutty’ name correct

| August 2, 2017

Many sources exist that can be used to verify names, such as Mahathir’s university registration, says deputy home minister.

KUALA LUMPUR: Deputy Home Minister Nur Jazlan Mohamed said today that the name “Mahathir a/l Iskandar Kutty” which Deputy Prime Minister Ahmad Zahid Hamidi claimed to be the full name of the ex-prime minister was correct.

Nur Jazlan said there were many sources that could be used to verify the name, such as the university registration of Dr Mahathir Mohamad.

“We can check the registration at his university if we want to know the name he used originally,” he told reporters after visiting the TRIS Centre for registering refugees here.

Zahid, who is the home minister and Umno acting deputy president, was widely criticised after claiming on Sunday that the name on Mahathir’s identity card (IC) was “Mahathir a/l Iskandar Kutty”.

The “a/l” stands for “anak lelaki” which in Malay means “son of”, and is commonly used in the official naming of Malaysians of Indian ethnicity.

Zahid said at the Kelana Jaya Umno division meeting that the Pakatan Harapan (PH) chairman was “the man who struggled for the Malay agenda” once but was actually “using the Malays”.

He also said he obtained the IC from the National Registration Department’s director-general Yazid Ramli.

However, Mahathir yesterday explained that Indian Muslims did not include the “anak lelaki” (a/l) (son of) or “anak perempuan” (a/p) (daughter of) in their names which normally comprised only two components since two Indian Muslim names were rarely similar.

He challenged Zahid to produce the IC that purportedly carried the name “Mahathir a/l Iskandar Kutty”.

Nur Jazlan said the police would investigate the reports lodged against Zahid.

“The police will investigate. But what happens if their investigation confirms the name? This issue has been politicised,” he added.

Nur Jazlan also said what Zahid did was not an offence.

“The details on an identity card are a public record. Everyone can know our name.

“It becomes an offence if an IC is used to fraudulently take a loan, but there is nothing wrong in revealing what is on an IC,” he said.

He said Zahid made the revelation because Mahathir was not sincere and honest in his struggle for the Malays.

“We should look at Zahid’s revelation in the proper context of the speech,” he said.

Dr. Mahathir and his supporters tried to cause an uproar even with the tone of trying to instigate the anger of India-Muslim community, with Deputy Prime Minister Dato’ Seri Dr. Ahmad Zahid Hamidi’s speech in Kelana Jaya on Sunday.

The attack is not about Dr. Mahathir’s ancestry but how he was never truthful about his ancestral origin and trying to pass off as a ‘Malay’.

It has been proven so many times over the past sixty years he used in Malay-ness and UMNO platform and clout, to cause a lot of turmoil which has affected the Malays through the years.

It essence, Deputy Prime Minister Zahid was trying to sum up that Dr. Mahathir had been a bane for the Malays.

In the context of selective memory, yesterday Dr Mahathir blogged about Deputy Prime Minister Zahid. The former mentioned about the “Declaration Zahid made”, which is about “RM230million”.

Excerpt from Che’ Dog blog:

8. Berkenaan dengan Melayu mudah lupa, walaupun Zahid bukan keturunan Melayu, sudahkah Zahid lupa deklarasi harta yang dibuat olehnya kepada saya sebagai Perdana Menteri apabila ia dilantik Ketua Pemuda UMNO.

9. Apabila saya tanya dari mana ia perolehi 230 juta Ringgit yang ada dalam akaunnya, jawapannya kurang jelas.

Dr. Mahathir’s statement against Zahid about the “RM230 juta” is really interesting.

Quad erat demonstratum. Dr Mahathir could be never trusted then, nor now.
