Updates: Rachel Corrie steaming ahead braving brutal IDF, Mavi Marmara fate unknown

The shock of the pre-meditated pre-dawn attack on unarmed civillians in international waters that left at least 16 non combatant dead and 50 wounded (some gravely) has still not subside. The world at large (with the exception of US, Great Britain and other pro-Israeli allies such as Singapore) deplore the brutal attack and the deployment of tottally unnecessary use of excessive force against non combatants.

The remaining vessel in the Freedom Flotilla is the Malaysian sponsored MV Rachel Corrie, which at the moment is on full steam ahead towards Gaza despite the gross violation of international laws and human rights.

Statement from MV RACHEL CORRIE:

MV Rachel Corrie is now the sole ship of the international Freedom Flotilla moving towards Gaza. The Malaysian and Irish peace and humanitarian activists aboard, share their deepest grief and sense of lost with the loved ones of those killed and injured in the illegal action undertaken by Israel on Monday 31st May in the international waters of the Mediterranean. In the names of our friends, we are more determined than ever to continue into Gaza with our humanitarian cargo and our support for the blockaded and suffering people of Gaza. We expect Israel to respond to the international condemnation of its violence by not impeding by any means the safe passage of the Rachel Corrie. We appeal to the international community and United Nations to continue to demand of Israel our safe passage into Gaza.

Jointly issued by Malaysians and Irish on board the Rachel Corrie

*******************

Rachel Corrie is expected to turn around if met with IDF armed units as the yesterdays experience provided enough reason to demonstrate Zionist Israelis brutal attitude to respect any form of virtues except their own.

This is what is going on with the passengers and crew of MV Mavi Marmara who were violently and brutally violated by Israel commandos in international waters, 70km of the coast of Gaza. They were refused legal aid by their Israeli captors.

The UN Security Council Calls for Impartial, Credible Investigation of Israeli Boat Raid. The raid in international waters, on the aid convoy headed to Gaza left at least 16 civilians dead.

After an emergency session wrapped up in the early hours this morning, the council agreed to language condemning the acts that resulted in the deaths and injuries aboard the Turkish vessel Mavi Marmara and the European Campaign s vessel Spendoni.

The council called for a prompt, impartial, credible and transparent investigation conforming to international standards. The council statement also reemphasized the importance of implementing U.N. resolution 1860, which calls for the unimpeded provision and distribution of humanitarian assistance to Gaza’s 1.5 million residents.  The flow of aid has been severely hampered by Israel’s three-year blockade on the Gaza Strip.

Yesterday, Israeli-licensed attorneys filed two habeas briefs: one is asking for to release the passengers and the boats, so we can continue on our way to Gaza, since it was illegal to stop us in international waters.

The other one is asking for information on all of the passengers, because there has been a total blackout on where the passengers are, who was wounded and who was murdered.

Lawyers are only being allowed access for three hours every day from 13:00-16:30. They have the names of three Palestinians still in detention:

Sheik Salah, Mohammad Zeidan and Lubna Marsawa.

Haneen Zuabi, a member of the Israeli Knesset, http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2009/03/31/haneen-zuabi-new-arab-isr_n_181164.html

has been released, because she has immunity as a member of the Knesset. She held a press conference this morning in Nazareth to talk about the attack.

She was on board the Mavi Marmara.

***********************

Most of the survivors of the Israeli atttempted massacre now are taken to various detention camps in Israel. They are asked to sign a declaration that they attempted to enter Israeli territory wrongfully so that they can be deported. In reality, they were travelling in international waters, attacked with excessive arms by Israeli commandos, Israeli commandos boarded and illegally hijacked their ship and brought them to Israel shore against their will and shall not be willing state otherwise. They are now being threatened to be tried for illegally entry with ill intent into Israel and could be jailed under Israeli laws.

Please offer prayers for the success of their noble mission and safe returns of the these brave men and women.

  1. With US, Britain and other pro-Israeli nations not even condemning the dastardly act, and with Najib wanting the good boy image in relations with US, with Rais jumping up and down at the opportunity to be photographed with Obama, with the kind of Minister and Deputy Minister appointed by Najib to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, we can’t expect much to be done by the Government for the safety and release of the Malaysians involved.

We need to pray more but can continue to shout out loudly for meaningful Government action on the matter.
    It’s sad. Very sad.

  2. Malaysia has its Secret Service – any independent country worth its salt has.

Arrange for the secret abduction of 1-2 Israelis – men, women or children, anywhere in the world, even in nearby territories. By air, land or sea. Preferably in a territory not friendly but has diplomatic relations with Israel and admits visiting or resident Israeli citizens. Then leak the info out. Then the Israelis will want to talk with us about the missing Malaysians. That’s the only language the bloody Zionists will understand.

Then prepare for Israeli secret commando operations against suspected hideouts of the abducted Israelis.

  3. An embargo has to be put on the Israeli regime because they had gone too far as to attack unarmed humanitarian volunteers.

The USA who had been so keen in attacking Iraq should attack Israel. But cows will fly first before we can witness that.

  4. Big Dog,

I feel sad that even the fate of Malaysians at the hands of the Zionists does not attract many comments.

Perhaps there are far too many problems in the country that people have time only for subjects close to their hearts – Najib’s ways in getting votes.

It’s the sign of the times. Najib has been so daring in disregarding the sentiments of the Malays. Perhaps Malays are now so flabbergasted that they don’t have even the mood to say something about the atrocious acts of the Zionist Jews. I fear PRU13 would be more disastrous for the Malays as a result of Najib’s actions.
