Kuala Lumpur, Johor Bahru, Pelabuhan Tanjung Pelepas, Melaka, Seremban, Klang, Ipoh, Penang, Seberang Prai, Alor Star, Langkawi, Kangar, Kota Bharu, Kuala Terengganu, Kuantan, Kota Kinabalu, Miri, Kuching.

Assalammualaikum to all Ansarians and friends,

I am pleased to update everyone on the progress of the preparation for the 4th Edition of our Ansara Annual Nationwide PreRamadhan Blood Donation Campaign 2010 which will he held nationwide simultaneously on the Friday, Saturday & Sunday 6th 7th & 8th August 2010.

KUALA LUMPUR

For Kuala Lumpur area, there will be a confirmed total of 8 venues namely:

1) AEON Jusco Taman Maluri to be handled by members of Ansara Beseri, coordinator Ida Haryani 012-4457445,

2) AEON Jusco Cheras Selatan to be handled by members of Ansara Muar, coordinator Salihudin 013-3403255,

3) AEON Jusco Alpha Angle Wangsa Maju to be handled by members of Ansara Terendak, coordinator Fiza 012-27857464,

4) AEON Jusco One Utama to be handled by members of Ansara Seremban, coordinator Noor Azmi 019-2377007,

5) AEON Jusco Metro Prima to be handled by members of Sathya Sai Baba, coordinator Mohana 012-2786091,

6) AEON Jusco Taman Equine to be handled by members of Ansara Balik Pulau, coordinator Faiz 019-2097155,

7) AEON Jusco AU2 Setiawangsa to be handled by members of Ansara Taiping, coordinator Zaini 012-9835610,

8) AEON Jusco Mahkota Cheras to be handled by members of Ansara Kulim, coordinator Raja Ali 019-2279977.

All Ansara members living in Kuala Lumpur are kindly requested to volunteer to help out in any of the above venues. Please contact the respective coordinators.

KLANG

For Klang area, there will be a confirmed total of 2 venues namely:

1) AEON Jusco Bukit Tinggi to be handled by members of Ansara Kota Bharu, coordinator Zahari 016-6058369,

2) AEON Jusco Bukit Raja to be handled by members of Ansara Kuala Berang, coordinator Norhalim 012-6558170.

All Ansara members living in Klang are kindly requested to volunteer to help out in any of the above venues. Please contact the respective coordinators.

JOHOR BAHRU

For Johor Bahru area, there will be a confirmed total of  5 venues namely:

1) AEON Jusco Tebrau City to be handled by Ansarians in Johor Bahru, Zainuddin Othman (Ansara Kuantan) 019-7530375 and friends,

2) AEON Jusco Permas Jaya to be handled by Ansarians in Johor Bahru, coordinator Hazwan Zulkifli (Ansara Jasin) 016-7705611 and members of MARA forecast,

3) AEON Jusco Taman Universiti to be handled by Ansarians in Johor Bahru, coordinator Azman Che Soh (Ansara Seremban) 019-7774643 and Dr Mat Alwi Zakaria (Ansara Kota Bharu) 016-7114278,

4) AEON Jusco Bukit Indah to be handled by Ansarians in Johor Bahru, coordinator Lokman Dasuki (Ansara Seremban) 013-7559610 and Razali Ismail 016-7580715 and MARA forecast,

5) Pelabuhan Tanjung Pelepas (PTP) to be handled by Ansarians working in PTP, coordinator Zakaria A Rahman (Ansara Seremban) 019-7034588.

All Ansara members living in Johor Bahru are kindly requested to volunteer to help out in any of the above venues. Please contact the respective coordinators.

MELAKA

For Melaka area, there will be a confirmed total of 2 venues namely;

1) AEON Jusco Bandaraya Melaka, to be handled by members of Ansara Jasin, coordinator Zalina Halim 012-2110634,

2) AEON Jusco Melaka in Air Keroh, ,alumni and coordinator not confirmed yet. Any Ansarians living in Melaka are kindly requested to assist in helping to ensure the participation of  AEON Jusco Melaka in Ayer Keroh. Please contact us if you are able to assist here.

SEREMBAN

For Seremban area, 1 venue has been confirmed;

1) AEON Jusco Seremban 2, to be handled by members of Ansara Seremban, coordinator Dr Miszua Anuar 019-6544354. Ansara is most grateful to Dr Miszua for having diligently coordinating the Seremban venue on behalf of Ansara for 4 consecutive years.

IPOH

For Ipoh, the venue AEON Jusco Kinta City has been confirmed but we have some difficulty in getting exMRSMers in Ipoh to help us out there. However, Mr Sockalingam 019-5709042 from ‘Aman Malaysia’ has kindly agreed to volunteer to represent us for the 2010 campaign in Ipoh. ExMRSMers living in Ipoh are still required to help Mr Socka coordinate the venue there. Any assistance from anyone will be most appreciated. Please contact us if you are able to volunteer.

PENANG

For Penang, Mayang Mall Bayan Baru and AEON Jusco Seberang Prai were the 2 venues which participated in the 2009 Campaign. At this point of time the venue AEON Jusco Seberang Prai is confirmed. Ansara is most grateful to Dato’ Rosli Jaafar (Ansara Seremban) for heading and coordinating the venues in Penang for 4 consecutive years. Dato’ Rosli is the General Manager of Penang Development Corporation (PDC) and has been very supportive of Ansara’s activities. The support of many Ansarians in Penang in these annual campaigns has been excellent.

ALOR SETAR

For Alor Setar, Nor Zalina Zainol Abidin (Ansara Seremban) at email: nrzaza@gmail.com who is living in Alor Setar has kindly volunteered to help ensure the paticipation of Alor Setar. Any exMRSMers living in Alor Setar are requested to help Nor Zalina there. The more volunteers the better.

LANGKAWI

For Langkawi, its first participation in the 2009 Campaign was an oustanding success. With the experience gained, this year’s 2010 Campaign is expected to be another huge success. Sdr Zambri Zainal Abidin (Ansara Seremban) 017-6211078 and Zuraidah Bidin 017-5600384 will coordinate the venue in Langkawi. Any volunteers in Langkawi will be very much appreciated.

KANGAR

For the last 2 consecutive years, Ansara has been very fortunate to have members of Asputra (Alumni SMS Tuanku Syed Putra, Kangar) as our friendly partner in helping to ensure the participation of Kangar in the Kempen Derma Darah PraRamadhan 2008 and 2009.

For this year, Asputra has again been very kind to offer their assistance to Ansara to  include Kangar in the Kempen Derma Darah PraRamadhan 2010.

The 2010 Campaign in Kangar will be held at the Hospital Tuanku Fauziah to be coordinated by Sdr Hatta Husin (Asputra) 010-2696727.

KOTA BHARU

For 3 consecutive years, 2007 2008 and 2009, members of Ansara Kota Bharu living in Kota Bharu (Ansara KBdKB) have been very helpful in ensuring the participation of Kota Bharu. Sdr Nasrif Daud (Ansara KB) 019-9553233 has been most helpful there.

For this year 2010 Campaign, members of Ansara Kota Bharu has again given the assurance that they will do their best to include Kota Bharu. Coordinator Sdr Zahari Mohd (Ansara Kota Bharu) 016-6058369.

KUALA TERENGGANU

Kuala Terengganu participated in the inaugural 2007 Campaign. Attempt to include KT in the 2008 and 2009 Campaign were not successful. It is hoped exMRSMers living in KT will assist us in helping to include KT in the 2010 Campaign. Any volunteers in KT please contact us.

KUANTAN

Kuantan participated in the inaugural 2007 Campaign. Attempt to include Kuantan in the 2008 and 2009 Campaign were not successful. It is hoped exMRSMers living in Kuantan  will assist us in helping to include Kuantan in the 2010 Campaign. Any volunteers in Kuantan please contact us.

KOTA KINABALU

Kota Kinabalu first participated in the 2008 Campaign which also include Sandakan, Tawau and Lahad Datu. Attempt to include KK in the 2009 Campaign was unsuccessful.

For the 2010 Campaign, members of the Killerbatch of Ansara Kulim has kindly offered their assistance to include KK with the help of their partners in Sabah Credit Corporation. ExMRSMers living in KK are kindly requested to assist the 2010 Campaign there. Coordinator Sdr Raja Ali (Ansara Kulim) 019-2279977.

MIRI

Miri made its first appearance in the 2009 Campaign where it was conducted at the Curtin University of Technology organised by members of Ansara Miri and coordinated by Shafini Saupi and they managed to collect an impressive total of 120 pints of blood for Miri Hospital. It is hoped very much that they will continue to participate in this 2010 Campaign, insyaAllah.

KUCHING

Ansara’s attempt to include Kuching in these nationwide annual campaign for the last 3 years has never been successful. However, we will continue our best to include Kuching in these campaigns. Any assistance from anyone will be very much appreciated.

SUMMARY

1) The 4th Edition of the Ansara Annual Nationwide PreRamadhan Blood Donation Campaign 2010 will be held simultaneously throughout the nation on the Friday Saturday and Sunday,  6th 8th and 9th August 2010.

2) All venue coordinators throughout the nation are requested to reconfirm with the managers of the venues with regards to the dates and the exact location within the premise for the blood donation drive,

3) All venue coordinators are requested to reconfirm with the head of the blood teams from the respective hospitals regarding the dates and exact location of the blood donation drives,

4) All venue coordinators and their committee members are requested to ensure adequate public exposure, promotion and publicity of the coming event by ensuring that banners and posters are put up at strategic locations at least 7 to 10 days before the event,

5) All exMRSMers throughout the nation are requested to help out in this 2010 campaign by:

a) volunteering your time to assist in the campaign at the venue nearest to where you live or work by contacting the respective venue coordinators;

b) volunteering your time and expertise in promoting the event leading up to the actual date of the campaign and encourage people to participate and donate blood;

c) contribute goodies to be given to blood donors as token gifts of appreciation;

d) contribute some drinks and snacks for blood donors after they have donated their blood;

e) contribute some cash to help pay for some of the cost incurred in organisisng the event, eg cost of banners, posters, pamphlets etc;

f) contribute some cash for drinks and lunch packs for volunteers manning the venues;

g) any queries, new ideas, opinions and suggestions, please contact myself or Zahari Mohd 016-6058369 or Faizzudin Serimasran 019-2097155.

Finally, we all have done very well in the last 3 consecutive years of which we should all be proud of. And we all should again look forward to an even more successful 4th edition of the Ansara Annual Nationwide PreRamadhan Blood Donation Campaign 2010, insyaAllah.

Wishing you all the best in carrying out this noble campaign to help ensure adequate stock of blood supply throughout the nation during the coming holy fasting month of Ramadhan and the festive season.
