Displeased HRH Paduka Seri Sultan Perak Tuanku Sultan Azlan Shah Ibni Almarhum Sultan Yussuf Izzuddin Shah sounded out the outragous demands that is directly challenging the basis of how this nation. Off late, too many Malaysians have been too BIADAP, especially using political platform to not only only defy but challenged the authority and sancity of HRH Rulers, whom have absolute powers on any issues regarding the Malay culture, heritage and tradition.

Sultan Azlan Raises Concern On Outrageous Demands

IPOH, Aug 13 (Bernama) — Off late there have been outrageous demands that went against the spirit that rallied the people as citizens of an independent and sovereign nation, said Sultan of Perak Sultan Azlan Shah.

He lamented on the attitude of the new generation who seemed to be detached from the history of the country at the 147th Dewan Negara Perak meeting at Istana Iskandariah, Kuala Kangsar on Thursday.

“Malaysia has chosen a government system based on the principles of constitutional monarchy and parliamentary democracy.

“The system was achieved through a formula based on consensus reached between the palace and the people, each having their particular roles, especially during crucial and critical situation,” he said in a statement issued by Dewan Negara Perak secretary Datuk Ayop Hashim Friday.

Sultan Azlan said the system balanced the role and power of the people and the nation.

Dewan Negara Perak described the participation of Raja Muda of Perak Raja Dr Nazrin Shah at international forums, including as Malaysia’s special envoy and head of delegation at a Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) Ministerial Meeting in Manila in March, relived the glory of the Malay Sultanate.

This titah by HRH Paduka Seri Sultan Perak is not new or in isolation. Four months ago HRH Sultan Azlan warned against Malaysians who sold the nation out.

The recent political roller-coaster circus shows which have been staged by the Oppositions for the past three years, brought HRH Rulers starting to speak out openly for the rakyat to remain calm, orderly and be respectful to the Constitution. HRH Rulers are above politics. However, the fashion and strategy of the Oppositions of the ‘politics of confusion’, ‘politics of manipulation’ and worst of all, ‘politics of hatred’ started to show the signs of the rakyat being wedged further apart, on racial, religious, ideological and even false moral divide. This also include the advocation of defying authority and law enforcement agencies to a point breaking laws. On 18 November 2007, HRH Sultan Pahang Tuanku Sultan Ahmad Shah Ibni Almarhum Sultan Abu Bakar sounded put against the mass demonstration turned ugly, propegated by the Oppositions such as Anwar “Mat King Leather” Ibrahim for the 10 November 2007 Bersih March and two weeks later, the HINDRAF demonstration that almost turned into an damning riot.

The Perak-State-Government-Changeover is a good example of how the Oppositions did not respect the authority and sanctity of HRH Paduka Seri Sultan. The KURANG AJAR-ness is blatantly outrageous. The were not at all shy about it and even tried to challenge the titah-perintah HRH Paduka Seri Sultan Perak in the courts. During the process, they defied HRH Paduka Seri Sultan’s wishes and even mock his specific instructions and conducted an illegal Exco meeting. They even mocked the Ruler’s Institution by staging a circus-state-assembly under a raintree. When the decision was not in favour of their demand, they blatantly spoke against it.

Recently, HRH Sultan Selangor Tuanku Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah Ibni Almarhum Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah spoke against the Non Malays and Liberal Malays who intendedly challenged the sensitivity of the majority Malay-Muslims on highly controversial issues such as the ‘Kalimah Allah’. Before that, HRH Sultan Selangor spoke against PAS using the mosque for political purpose and Pakatan Rakyat Selangor Government intended to use monies collected as tithe from Muslims in the Baitulmal for development purposes.

On the issue of Special Malay Rights, in the form of affirmative action being translated via the New Economic Policy with was launched by Prime Minister II Tun Abdul Razak Hussein in 1971 as a solution to the socio-economic transformation plan to eradicate poverty and uplift the stature of the majority of the rakyat, especially in the rural areas also drew specific attention of HRH Rulers. HRH Regent of Perak Raja Nazrin Shah Ibni Sultan Azlah Shah is his address to the Islamic Economic Congress on 15 January 2009 reiterated the importance of the NEP to the Malays,which have been systematically challenged and the lately the attacks have been intensified by the Non Malays and Liberal Malays.

Opposition Leader Anwar “Mat King Leather” Ibrahim in-sync with Chinese Chauvinist DAP demanded that Communist Party Secretary General Chin “Butcher of Malaya” Peng to be allowed back to Malaysia, as part of their ploy to distabilize the harmony of the nation and challenging the history. These anti-establishment desperates can only assume power from the ashes that arise of the pandemonium resulted the anarchy they create. History has shown that in their greed to get power even with the use of force, these anti-establishment Chinese revolted against the British and majority Malays in June 1948, five short months after the Treaty of the Malay Federation was signed which formed the basis of the Constitution, as we know it today.

Last weekend, HRH Sultan Johor Tuanku Sultan Ibrahim Ismail Ibni Almarhum Sultan Iskandar lashed against Johor PKR for using his photo in a campaign for State Chairman Chua Jui Meng, who was stripped of from his ‘Datukship’ for attempts to wedging the unity of Johorean Chinese.

The common denominator for all these displeased and deep dissatisfaction titah of HRHs are the Oppositions, namely PKR and DAP. In their zest to gain attention for assuming power whenever possible, they propegate the ‘politics of hate’ to the distance, to appoint where it crossed path against the fine lines of sensitivities such as the sancity on the position of Islam and Special Malay Rights. Both are clearly spelled out in the Federal Constitution.

The challenge is very apparent, especially advocated by disobedient personalities like Anwar “Mat King Leather” Ibrahim, DAP Karpal Singh, Lim Kit Siang, Ngeh Koo Ham, Nga Kor Ming and even Theresa Kok. The most recent is Tony Pua. Of course without exception Malaysians should not forget a staunch Anwarista-turned-techno-cyber-anarchist Raja Petra who publised his “What the eyes can’t see”, to justify that HM Seri Paduka Baginda Yang DiPertuan Agong condoned the Bersih March and ‘instructed’ the Royal Armour Regiment to “give protection to demonstrators, in case the Police closed in”.

The fact is that, upon the revocation of for the failure Malayan Union declared on 1 May 1946, British representatives re-negotiated with HRH Rulers with UMNO allowed to be observers. The result is that the Treaty of Malay Federation was signed on 21 Jan 1948 and took force on 1 February 1948. The significance of this treaty is landmark to the nation-building history of then Tanah Melayu when one of the defined article was about the issue of ‘citizenship’. HRH Rulers had the legal and moral ‘authority to rule’ and the rakyat did not have any say in the political process, despite starting to grow especially amongst the Malays, who were ‘subjects of HRH Rulers’ at the time where majority of the Non Malays were mere ‘stateless people’.

Then, when the pressure of allowing Malaya to be independent becoming more prominent, especially after the Malayans (85% of the voters were Malays, who were then ‘subjects of HRH Rulers) held their first general elections in 1955 and a people’s executive committee was formed. This pseudo Cabinet then was given the consent by HRH Rulers to negotiate for independence from the British, on behalf of the ‘subjects of HRH Rulers’. When the pressure tantamounts, the British gave HRH Rulers the ‘first right of refusal’ to rule. Instead, then Chief Minister Tunku Abdul Rahman Putra managed to convince HRH Rulers to give up the ‘right to rule’ in favour of Westminster-style Constitutional Monarchy. Apart from agreeing to automatically accept all the ‘stateless persons’ of Non Malay ethnic who were born in the land as citizens, the consent of HRH Rulers to give up the ‘right to rule’ is what the ‘SOCIAL CONTRACT’ is all about.

Regardless, as the Custodian of the Constitution, Protector of Faith and Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces, HRH Rulers are still on the pinnacle of the nation social, cultural and political structure and at any cost, should not be defied for any purpose. The reverenceBef for the HRH Rulers Institution is the basis on the formation of the Malaysian culture, tradition and heritage.

The Federation of Malaya (now Malaysia) Constitution stipulated that HRH Rulers remained as the Constitutional Heads of Islam, the religion of the Federation of Malaysia. They have absolute powers on matters of the religion. They vowed to protected Islam and recently, reiterated this vow. Any challenge, be it directly or indirectly against Islam should be regarded as a challenge against HRH Rulers. This include the ‘Kalimah Allah’, where unresolved could be spiraled into something ugly. In fact, during the 220nd Council of Rulers Conference, HRH Rulers decreed that the ‘Kalimah Allah’ issue be resolved immediately.

HRH Sultan Azlan is timely to sound this out. His state Perak tolerated too much of these Opposition staged nonsense. Even in the formality of the opening of the 8 May 2009 State Assembly session, these Pakatan Rakyat Primates shamed HRH Regent of Perak.

The history have been challenged and manipulated to confuse the younger generation of Malaysians. They plan to take full advantage from the confusion, delusion and manipulation of facts and history they purposely create. For a very learned Ruler HRH Sultan Azlan, who was once the Lord President to the Supreme Court, to sound out in this tone reflect the deep dissatisfaction and grave concern that how the Oppositions, Non Malays and Liberal Malays in the demands already threatening stability and harmony of the nation.

Its time that all who call themselves Malaysians to heed this call.
